  • A species of Cladosporium isolated from Allium victorialis var. platyphyllum Makino differs from C. allii and C. allii-cepae by catenate, multiseptate conidia and aseptate conidiophores. Comparable Cladosporium spp. on other substrates are unknown. Therefore, this fungus must be considered as a new, undescribed species, viz. Cladosporium alliicola sp. nov.

  • 전자계 시스템의 설계에서 많이 활용되는 FEM은 비교적 고정도의 설계치수 산정이 가능하나 많은 계산 시간을 필요로 한다. 최근 FEM의 계산회수를 축소하는 실험적 설계방식이 많이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 C-Core Actuator 형상에 관한 최적설계를 실험적 설계 방식으로 수행한다. 설계평가는 FEM으로 수행하게 되며, 전계승설계 및 표면응답법을 적용하여 최적화를 수행한 결과의 정도를 검토하여 본 최적화 기법의 타당성을 제시한다.

  • The spectroscopic characteristic of 9 items in the urinalysis strip are measured to develop the urine analysis system. From experimental results, we determined the wavelength range which could accurately distinguish the degrees of 9 test items. Simulation is performed to distinguish the primary color reaction in the urinalysis strips using reflectance of urine strips, luminous intensity of LEDs, and spectral sensitivity of photodiodes. The simulation results agree well with experimental results by using UV-Visible spectrophotometer.

  • Purified atrazine chlorohydrolase (AtzA) was entrapped in the nanoparticles of biomimetically synthesized silica at the ambient condition within 20 min. Entrapped AtzA in biomimetic silica was less affected by pH change and showed higher thermostability than free enzymes. The entrapped AtzA was also more tolerant against proteolysis, with 80% of the initial activity remaining and retained 82% of the initial activity even after four cycles of usage. These results suggest that entrapment of AtzA in biomimetic silica could be utilized under diverse environmental conditions with the active catalytic performance sustained.

  • Microbial communities that are associated with plant roots are highly diverse and harbor tens of thousands of species. This so-called microbiome controls plant health through several mechanisms including the suppression of infectious diseases, which is especially prominent in disease suppressive soils. The mechanisms implicated in disease suppression include competition for nutrients, antibiosis, and induced systemic resistance (ISR). For many biological control agents ISR has been recognized as the mechanism that at least partly explains disease suppression. Implications of ISR on recruitment and functioning of the rhizosphere microbiome are discussed.

A Novel Volume Hologram Encryption Using Complementary Data and Binary Amplitude Mask (상보 데이터와 이진 진폭 마스크를 이용한 새로운 체적 홀로그램 암호화)

  • In this paper we propose a novel volume hologram encryption system with binary amplitude masks rather than phase masks, in which volume holograms can be securely recorded against the attacks by a third party. In our system, the encryption is done by multiplexing two volume holograms in such a way that an original binary data page is first stored as a volume hologram by interference with a binary amplitude mask and then the complementary data page is stored as another volume hologram by interference with the complementary binary amplitude mask over the first hologram. The operation principle of our system is explained with the well-known theory of recording and reading a volume hologram in a photorefractive material and the experimental results are presented. Experimental data show that our encryption system is protected from blind decryptions by randomly-generated incorrect amplitude masks.

  • Three isoflavonoids having tyrosinase-inhibiting activity were isolated from the culture filtrate of Streptomyces sp. 20747. Their structures were determined by UV, EI-MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR to be daidzein, daidzein 7-rhamnoside, and genistein 7-rhamnoside, which were competitive with substrate and had IC50 value of 14, 19, and 16 ng/ml, respectively to mushroom tyrosinase and did not inhibit melanin production of Streptomyces bikiniensis. Soybean meal as well as peptone were found to be a good nitrogen source for tyrosinase-inhibiting isoflavonoids production, susgesting that soybean meal is not the origin of tyrosinase inhibiting isoflavonoids formation in Streptomyces sp. 20747 strain.

  • The aerosol pyrolysis technique was introduced to prepare the spherical phosphors for enhancing low-voltage phosphor efficiency. The density, the shape, and the crystallinity of phosphors were controlled by thermal decomposition temperature and phosphor annealing condition. The particle size was adjusted by the precursor concentration and reactor pressure. It was fond that the efficiency of phosphors synthesized in this work was superior to the commercial products at the low-voltage excitation by 1.5 times and the screen efficiency was also higher than that of any value reported in literature.

  • 본 논문은 능동 구속층 감쇠(active constrained layer damping) 처리된 관의 동적 모델링과 정식화를 제시한다. 판의 운동방정식은 Hamilton정리를 이용하여 전개된 판, piezoelectric film 및 점탄성층의 운동방정식을 조합하므로서 유도된다. 이 운동방정식은 외부인가전압의 영향하에서 적층판의 해석적 모델을 제공할 뿐만이 아니라, 판 구조내에서 진동에너지를 감소시킬 수 있는 전단층의 효과에 대한 변위관계식을 나타낸다. 그리고 운동방정식에 대응하는 경계조건도 유도되었다. 또한 판과 능동구속층감쇠계의 동특성을 설명하기 위한 유한요소모델이 유도되었다. 이 모델의 타당성을 실온조건에서 실험적으로 입증하였다. 개발된 이론 및 실험적인 결과들은 판과 능동구속층 감쇠계가 구조진동의 감쇠를 위한 매우 유효한 수단으로 사용될 수 있음을 나타내었다.

  • The studies was carried out to investigate ripening degree and functional properties of EMC produced with pancreatic protease and palatase ML. During production of EMC, the amounts of free amino acid and free fatty acid were increased with increasing the reaction time. The amount of total nitrogen(T-N) and water soluble nitrogen(WSN) were increased with increasing time. EMC had contents of 1.79eA T-N and 0.52o WSN at 60 min of hydrolysis time. SRI and FRI value had also a similar correlationship. On the gel filtration, 2 kinds of soluble proteining capacity was also shown in alkali solution. Furthermore the foaming stability had the same result as that of the solubility. The water absorption of EMC showed the highest level at pH 4.0 and 5.0.
