COMPOSITE HURWITZ RINGS AS ARCHIMEDEAN RINGS

  • Let $D{\subseteq}E$ be an extension of integral domains with characteristic zero, I be a nonzero proper ideal of D, and let H(D, E) and H(D, I) (resp., h(D, E) and h(D, I)) be composite Hurwitz series rings (resp., composite Hurwitz polynomial rings). In this article, we show that H(D, E) is an Archimedean ring if and only if h(D, E) is an Archimedean ring, if and only if ${\bigcap}_{n{\geq}1}d^nE=(0)$ for each nonzero nonunit d in D. We also prove that H(D, I) is an Archimedean ring if and only if h(D, I) is an Archimedean ring, if and only if D is an Archimedean ring.

In this paper, we show that H(D, E) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals if and only if h(D, E) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals, if and only if ${\bigcap}_{n{\geq}1}a_1{\cdots}a_nE=(0)$ for each infinite sequence $(a_n)_{n{\geq}1}$ consisting of nonzero nonunits of We also prove that H(D, I) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals if and only if h(D, I) satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals, if and only if D satisfies the ascending chain condition on principal ideals.

Structural Analysis of Cu Binding Site in [Cu(I)·d(CpG)·d(CpG)-2H]-1 Complex

  • The Cu cation binding sites of $[Cu(I){\cdot}d(CpG){\cdot}d(CpG)-2H]^{-1}$ complex have been investigated to explain the $[Cu{\cdot}DNA]$ biological activity caused by the Cu association to DNA. The structure of $[Cu(I){\cdot}d(CpG){\cdot}d(CpG)-2H]^{-1}$ complex was investigated by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). The fragmentation patterns of $[Cu(I){\cdot}d(CpG){\cdot}d(CpG)-2H]^{-1}$ complex were analyzed by MS/MS spectra. In the MS/MS spectra of $[Cu(I){\cdot}d(CpG){\cdot}d(CpG)-2H]^{-1}$ complex, three fragment ions were observed with the loss of d(CpG), {d(CpG) + Cyt}, and {d(CpG) + Cyt + dR}. The Cu cation binds to d(CpG) mainly by substituting the $H^+$ of phosphate group. Simultaneously, the Cu cation prefers to bind to a guanine base rather than a cytosine base. Five possible geometries were considered in the attempt to optimize the $[Cu(I){\cdot}d(CpG){\cdot}d(CpG)-2H]^{-1}$ complex structure. The ab initio calculations were performed at B3LYP/6-31G(d) level.

액막법을 이용한 IGF-I 회수 (Recovery of IGF-I Using Liquid Emulsion Membranes)

  • A study was made to investigate the effects of concerning factors with IGF-I recovery on the final IGF-I concentration in the effluent and to establish recovery conditions of IGF-I using liquid emulsion membranes(LEM). D2EHPA was best carrier among Amberlite LA2, Aliquit 336 and D2EHPA for recovery rate of IGF-I. Recovery rate of IGF-I by D2EHPA volume in the oil phase was increased as increasing D2EHPA volume, and optimal volume of D2EHPA was 5% in this experiment. The recovery rate of IGF-I by D2EHPA was increased by the decreasing from pH 7 to pH 4 of external phase. Therefore, optimal pH value was 4.0. Optimal concentrations of sulfuric acid in internal phase, paraffin oil in oil phase and Span 80 for recovery rate of IGF-I were 0.1M, 2.0% and 5%, respectively, and optimal W/O rate was 2. These results suggested that optimal conditions for recovery of IGF-I were D2EHPA(5%) as carrier, pH 4.0, 0.1M sulfuric acid, 2% paraffin oil, 2.0 W/O rate and 5.0% Span 80.

  • Let (D,B) be an admissible pair. Then recall that $B\;{\times}^L_HD^{{\rightarrow}{\pi}_D}_{{\leftarrow}i_D}\;D$ are bialgebra maps satisfying ${\pi}_D{\circ}i_D=I$. We have solved a converse in case D is a Hopf algebra. Let D be a Hopf algebra with antipode $S_D$ and be a left H-comodule algebra and a left H-module coalgebra over a field $k$. Let A be a bialgebra over $k$. Suppose $A^{{\rightarrow}{\pi}}_{{\leftarrow}i}D$ are bialgebra maps satisfying ${\pi}{\circ}i=I_D$. Set ${\Pi}=I_D*(i{\circ}s_D{\circ}{\pi}),B=\Pi(A)$ and $j:B{\rightarrow}A$ be the inclusion. Suppose that ${\Pi}$ is an algebra map. We show that (D,B) is an admissible pair and $B^{\leftarrow{\Pi}}_{\rightarrow{j}}A^{\rightarrow{\pi}}_{\leftarrow{i}}D$ is an admissible mapping system and that the generalized biproduct bialgebra $B{\times}^L_HD$ is isomorphic to A as bialgebras.

오공약침(蜈蚣藥針)을 이용한 요추간판탈출증(腰椎間板脫出症) 치료(治療)의 임상적(臨床的) 연구(硏究) (Clinical study on treatment of HIVD of lumbar spine using Scolopendrid herbal acupuncture)

  • Objective : This study is performed for the purpose of examining into the efficacy of the scolopendrid(Scolopendra morsitans L) which has been used among the Korean people for the H.I.V.D of lumbar spine. Methods & Results : Using the herbal acupuncture made of scolopendrid(Scolopendra morsitans L), we treated the 20 H.I.V.D patients for 1 week and operated 4 pre and post treatment test ; D.I.T.I, 6 kinds of physical test, Oswestry disability index, and self-conscious pain rate. Trough the test, we saw 43-95% of efficacy rate in each test. And all of the 7 acupuncture point in D.I.T.I, Oswestry disability index and self-conscious pain rate test showed statistically valuable change. Conclusion : We brought to the conclusion that the scolopendrid herbal acupuncture has possibility to be efficient to cure the H.I.V.D patients. So we suggest the possibility to use this new remedy for the H.I.V.D.

The Substates with Mutants That Negatively Charged Aspartate in Position 172 Was Replaced with Positive Charge in Murine Inward Rectifier Potassium Channel (Murine Kir2.1)

  • We have investigated the effect on inducing substate(s) of positively charged residues replaced in position 172 of the second transmembrane domain in murine inward rectifier potassium channels, formed by stable or transient transfection of Kir2.1 gene in MEL or CHO cells. Single channel recordings were obtained from either cell-attached patches or inside-out patches excised into solution containing 10 mM EDTA to rule out the effect of $Mg^{2+}$ on the channel gating. The substate(s) could be recorded with all mutants D172H, D172K and D172R. The unitary current-voltage (I-V) relation was not linear with D172H at $pH_i$ 6.3, whereas the unitary I-V relation was linear at $pH_i$ 8.0. The relative occupancy at $S_{LC}$ was increased from 0.018 at $pH_i$ 8.0 to 0.45 at $pH_i$ 5.5. In H-N dimer, that was increased from 0.016 at $pH_i$ 8.0 to 0.23 at $pH_i$ 5.5. The larger the size of the side chain or $pK_a$ with mutants (D172H, D172K and D172R), the more frequent the transitions between the fully open state and substate within an opening. The conductance of the substate also depended upon the pKa or the size of the side chain. The relative occupancy at substate $S_{LC}$ with monomer D172K (0.50) was less than that in K-H dimer (0.83). However, the relative occupancy at substate with D172R (0.79) was similar to that with R-N dimer (0.82). In the contrary to ROMK1, positive charge as well as negative charge in position 172 can induce the substate rather than block the pore in murine Kir2.1. The single channel properties of the mutant, that is, unitary I-V relation, the voltage dependence of the mean open time and relative occupancy of the substates and the increased latency to the first opening, explain the intrinsic gating observed in whole cell recordings.

다중텅그스텐산 이온평형에 대한 이온세기의 영향. 염화칼륨용액에서 (The Effects of Ionic Strength on Polytungstate Ions Equilibrium in KCl Solution)

  • 텅그스텐산이온 용액의 다핵화반응과 다중음이온의 양성자화반응에 대한 이온세기의 영향을 1∼4M KCl 용액에서 헥사텅그스텐산이온과 헥사텅그스텐산 이온의 양성자화된 형태가 생성되었다. 20∼50 C 및 1∼4M KCl 용액에서 헥사텅그스텐산이온 및 헥사텅그스텐이온의 양성화된 형태가 생성되는 반응에 대한 평행상수를 계산하였다. Van`t Hoff방정식을 이용하여 계산한 헥사텅그스텐산이온의 양성자화된 형태가 생성되는 반응의 엔탈피변화는 이온세기에 관계없었다. $7H^++{6WO_4}^{2-}={HW_6O_{21}}^{5-}+3H_2O\;\;{\Delta}H^{\circ}=-62.4{\pm}0.6$$H^++{HW_6O_{21}}^{5-}={H_2W_6O_{21}}^{4-}\;\;{\Delta}H+_1^{\circ}=-4.12{\pm}0.10$$H^++{H_2W_6O_{21}}^{4-}={ H_3W_6O_{21}}^{3-}\;\;{\Delta}H_2^{\circ}=-4.36{\pm}0.30$위에 기술한 각 반응에 대한 자유에너지 변화 및 엔탈피변화를 계산하였고 이온세기의 영향을 고찰해보았다. 이온세기와 $log k_{6,7}$ 사이에 직선함수식이 성립하였다.$log k_{6,7}\;=\;D{\mu}+I,\;D\;=\;1.66{\pm}0.02$$logk_1$$logk_2$${\mu}$ 사이에도 전체 이온세기 범위내에서 직선함수식이 성립하였다.$logk_1=D_1{\mu}+I_1,\;logk_2\;=\;D_2{\mu}+I_2$ 여기에서 $D_1=-0.065{\pm}0.001이었고\;D_2=-0.367{\pm}0.0006$이었다.

흰쥐 말초 혈액 림프구의 분자량 44 kD 단백의 인산화 (Phosphorylation of 44-kilodalton Proteins in Peripheral T-lymphocyte of Rat)

  • 흰쥐 말초혈액에서 얻은 T 림프구를 아드레날린성 ${\beta}-$수용체 효현제 및 concanavalin A(Con-A)로 자극해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 자극이 없는 상태에서의 주 인산화 단백은 분자량 44kD, 등전점 6.8의 단백이었으며 효현제로 자극시키면 분자량 44kD, 등전점 6.3의 단백이 새로이 인산화되어 나타났다. 이 분자량 44kD, 등전점 6.3의 단백은 forskolin에 의해 역시 인산화되며 A-kinase 억제제인 H-8을 전처치하면 인산화의 억제가 나타났다. 또한 Con-A로 자극시키면 44 kD/pI 6.3 단백의 인산화가 증가되었으며 이 인산화의 증가는 CaM kinase 억제제인 W-7 전처치에 의해 억제되었다. H-7은 분자량 44 kD, 등전점 6.8 단백의 인산화를 감소 시켰다. 이상의 결과로 분자량 44 kD 등전점 6.3의 단백은 A-kinase와 CaM kinase 모두에 의해 인산화 되는 기질단백으로서 tryptic peptide map상에서 44 kD/pI 6.8 단백과 44 kD/pI 6.3 단백은 서로 다른 단백임을 알 수 있었다.

Frankia sp. strain SNU 014201의 nif-H, D, K, 유전자 클로닝

  • 물오리나무의 뿌리혹에서 분기한 Frankia sp. SNU 014201 공생균주의 게놈내에 13.5 kb의 EcoRI, 18.0 kb 의 BamHI, 10.5 kb의 Bg/II, 4.5 kb의 KpnI 절편에 nif-H, D 유전자가 존재함을 확인하였다. 람다 파아지 EMBI3-BamHI arm을 사용하여 제조한 genomic library 에서 nif유전자를 포함하고 있는 14개의 재조합 파아지 클론을 선별하였다. 이들 중 Ahnif-12번 클론은 nif 유전자를 포함하고 있는 18kb 의 삽입 DNA 를 가지고 있었으며, 이중 7.9 kb 의 BamHI 절편내에 nif-H. D. K가 3.6kb 의 HindIII/KpnI 절편내에 nif D 의 일부와 H 가 위치하고 있었다. 따라서 이등 절편을 각각 subcloning 하고 제한효소 지도를 작성한 결과, Frankia sp. SNU 01420의 nif-H. D. K 유전자는 6.5 kb 의 Hind III/Bam HI 절편과 5.2 kb Sal/IBamHI 절편내에 연속 배열하고 있다.
