  • This paper presents deadbeat controller for output current in the utility-interactive inverter. The time delay related with deadbeat controller is compensated by using prediction control. By computer simulation and experiment, the dynamic characteristics of deadbeat controller is verified.

  • In this paper, we have designed an LCD controller based on AMBA. Normally display systems using the LCD are adopted independent bus architecture for high speed data access. Proposed LCD controller complies with AMBA data format and has an image scaler that executes interpolation for full screen display. This image scaler employs FOI for horizontal scaling and H-Shape pseudomedian filter for vertical scaling. It has been designed with VHDL and verified on prototype board using Xilinx FPGA and LCD panel.

$H_{\infty}$ Controller Design of Linear Systems with Saturating Actuators (포화 구동기를 갖는 선형 시스템의 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, we consider the design of a state feedback $H_{\infty}$ controller for uncertain linear systems with saturating actuators. We consider a general saturating actuator and employ the additive decomposition to deal with it effectively. And the considered uncertainty is the unstructured uncertainty which is only known its norm bound. Based on Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) techniques, we present a condition on designing a controller that guarantees the $L_2$ gain, from the noise to the output, is not greater than a given value. A controller is obtained by checking the feasibility of three LMI's, and this can be easily done by well-known control package. Finally, we show the usefulness of our result by a numerical example.

  • This paper implements an active noise controller in a headset by solving Robust $H_{\infty}$ control problem. In the $H_{\infty}$ control framework, we can suppose the noise in a headset as disturbance and the noise control problem is cast on the well-known $H_{\infty}$ regulation problem. By representing the system as LFT(Linear Fractional Transformaion) form, the controller is obtained using D-K iteraitons. The designed controller was implemented with operational amplifiers and it produced the desired noise reduction performance.

  • In this paper, we designed the adaptive fuzzy logic controller for crane system using neural network and real-coding genetic algorithm. The proposed algorithm show a good performance on convergence velocity and diversity of population among evolutionary computations. The weights of neural network is adaptively changed to tune the input/output gain of fuzzy logic controller. And the genetic algorithm was used to leam the feedforward neural network. As a result of computer simulation, the proposed adaptive fuzzy logic controller is superior to conventional controllers in moving and modifying the destination point.

  • In this paper, a memoryless H$_{\infty}$ controller for linear systems with state and input delays is presented. The proposed controller is a delay independent stabilizer which reduces the H$_{\infty}$ norm of the closed loop transfer function, from the disturbance to the controlled output, to a precribed level. The controller is obtained by solving a minimization problem involving linear matrix inequalities.s.

  • This paper is discribed to the application of PID controller for the frequency control of power systems. The proposed optimal PID controller is designed to obtain gain Parameters of P,I,D's coefficients according to optimization technique using the relatively ingeneous simplex method. The PID controller which is applied to one area, tie-line two area with(or without) exciter is showed good performance rather than that of optimal Pl controllor.

  • This paper deals with design and implementation of the controller for optically guided AGV. When AGV has only three photo sensors in front of body, AGV doesn't know how much the entry angle to guide line is. In this case, it is difficult to compensate the tracking error. To make sure that the AGV does not secede the guide line in tracking, PI controller and fuzzy logic controller is proposed. The proposed controller was verified and experienced through real AGV system.

  • This paper present a robust controller design method based on the estimation of velocity disturbance to construct a robust fine seek control system. A loop gain adjustment algorithm is introduced to accurately estimate the velocity disturbance in spite of the uncertainties of fine actuator. A weighting function is optimally selected from a minimum fine seek open-loop gain, calculated by estimating the velocity disturbance. A robust fine seek controller is designed by considering a robust $H_{\infty}$ control problem using the weighting function. The proposed controller design method is applied to the fine seek control system of a DVD rewritable drive and is evaluated through the experimental results.
