A new approach for the fabrication of organic-organic conducting composite thin films using simultaneous co-vaporization vapor phase polymerization (SC-VPP) of two or more monomers that have different polymerization mechanisms (i.e., oxidation-coupling polymerization and radical polymerization) was reported for the first time. In this study, a PEDOT-PSMA composite thin film consisting of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT) and poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride)(PSMA) was prepared by SC-VPP process. The preparation of organic-organic conductive composite thin films was confirmed through FT-IR and $^1H-NMR$ analyses. The surface morphology analysis showed that the surface of PEDOT-PSMA thin film was rougher than that of PEDOT thin film. Therefore, PEDOT-PSMA exhibited lower electrical conductivity than that of PEDOT. But the conductivity can be improved by adding 2-ethyl-4-methyl imidazole as a weak base. The contact angle of PEDOT-PSMA was about $50^{\circ}$, as compared to $62^{\circ}$ for PEDOT. The demonstrated methodology for preparing an organic-organic conductive hybrid thin film is expected to be useful for adjusting intrinsic conductive polymer (ICP)'s surface properties such as mechanical, optical, and roughness properties.

In this thesis, 50W Doherty amplifier was designed and implemented for Beyond 3G's repeater and base-station. Auxiliary amplifier of doherty amplifier was implemented by Gate bias control circuit. Though gate bias control circuit solved auxiliary's bias problem, output characteristics of doherty amplifier was limited. To enhance the output characteristic relativize Drain control circuit And To improve power efficiency make 3-way Doherty power amplifier. therefore, 3-way GDCD (Gate and Drain bias Control Doherty) power amplifier is embodied to drain bias circuit for General Doherty power amplifier. The 3-way GDCD power amplifier composed of matching circuit with chip capacitor and micro strip line using FR4 dielectric substance of specific inductive capacity(${\varepsilon}r$) 4.6, dielectric substance height(H) 30 Mills, and 2.68 Mills(2 oz) of copper plate thickness(T). Experiment result satisfied specification of amplifier with gains are 57.03 dB in 2.11 ~ 2.17 GHz, 3GPP frequency band, PEP output is 50.30 dBm, W-CDMA average power is 47.01 dBm, and ACLR characteristics at 5MHz offset frequency band station is -40.45 dBc. Especially, 3-way DCHD power amplifier showed excellence efficiency performance improvement in same ACLR than general doherty power amplifier.

In this study, major parameter of partial nitritation was investigated for the stable operation. In order to establish partial nitritation system, prevailing parameters such as temperature, BA (bicarbonate alkalinity) and pH were evaluated. As a result, it is inferred that appropriate bicarbonate alkalinity ratio (mg $NaHCO_3{\cdot}L^{-1}/mg$ Inf. $NH_4{^+}-N{\cdot}L^{-1}$) drives stable 50% partial nitritation at $32^{\circ}C$ and ambient temperature, respectively. Alkalinity ratio was proposed as new strategy for 50% partial nitritation without pH control in both temperature regimes. Because of the results, it was added amound of BA required only for 50% nitritation to inhibit nitratation. The effluent $NO_2{^-}-N/NH_4{^+}-N$ ratio reached almost 100% when initial bicarbonate alkalinity ratios (mg $NaHCO_3{\cdot}L^{-1}/mg$ Inf. $NH_4{^+}-N{\cdot}L^{-1}$) were 6.8 (R1) and 6.7 (R2), respectively. Polymerase chain reaction and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) results demonstrated that AOB was the dominant nitrifying bacteria and NOB was negligible after adopting process control.
This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the soluble sericins after degumming and after hydrolysis of insoluble sericin with various enzymes. Especially, the hydrolysis characteristics were examined in terms of molecular weight of the soluble sericin. Amino acid composition and molecular weight characteristics of the soluble sericins were also studied. When the insoluble sericin was hydrolyzed with kojizyme and flavourzyme, the solubility was highest at pH 7 and 50$^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, in the cases of protamex and alcalase, the highest solubility was obtained at 60$^{\circ}C$. In these cases, solubility increased with pH. In enzymatic hydrolysis, the solubility was increased with concentration of enzymes until 4 hours. After then, a slight difference was found along with treatment times. In enzymatic hydrolysis, the absorbance of the soluble sericin was increased with concentration of enzymes and treatment times. Average degree of polymerization was decreased with treatment time and concentration. The amino acid compositions were similar in low(low molecular weight by degumming) and high (high molecular weight by degumming). Those of PK (soluble sericin hydrolyzed with kojizyme), PP (soluble sericin hydrolyzed with protamex), and PA(soluble sericin hydrolyzed with alcalase) were similar to each other. Serine and tyrosine compositions were higher in low and high than those of PK, PP, and PA. However proline was absent in low and high. Molecular weights of the various sericins became higher as KP>high>PP>low>PA and those of KP and PA were 9,800 and 905 respectively.

In this paper, a robust filter based wind velocity estimation algorithm without an air velocity sensor in an air vehicle is presented. The wind velocity is useful information for the air vehicle to perform precise guidance and control. In general, the wind velocity can be obtained by subtracting an air velocity which is obtained by an air velocity sensor such as a pitot-tube, and a ground velocity which is obtained by a navigation equipment. However, in order to simplify the configuration of the air vehicle, the wind estimation algorithm is necessary because the wind velocity can not be directly obtained if the air velocity measurement sensor is not used. At this time, the aerodynamic coefficient of the air vehicle changes due to the turbulence, which causes the uncertainty of the system model of the filter, and the wind estimation performance deteriorates. Therefore, in this study, we propose a wind estimation method using $H{\infty}$ filter to ensure robustness against aerodynamic coefficient uncertainty, and we confirmed through simulation that the proposed method improves the performance in the uncertainty of aerodynamic coefficient.
Because usually signal controllers on the crosswalks of mid-block provide pedestrian signals every cycle based on the fixed signal plan, pedestrian signals are provided even when there is no pedestrian demand. Consequently, signal is operated inefficiently and this may cause drivels to experience useless delay or violate the signal. Even though recently pushbuttons have been installed to improve the efficiency of pedestrian signal control in the crosswalks of mid-block and the pedestrian safety. they are not spread out national-wide in Korea because of the cost of the pushbutton equipments and the lack of an acknowledgement of the efficiency of the pushbutton. In this study, the effectiveness of the pushbutton on saving the vehicle delay was verified through before and after study in 4 study sites using a traffic micro-simulation model, VISSIM. To evaluate the viability of the pushbutton, a benefit/cost analysis was also performed for 4 study sites. It was found that B/C ratio of all of 4 study sites was greater than 1. The sensitivity analysis for the traffic volume and pedestrian volume were performed to identify the impact of the both volume on the operation of pushbutton. And, a benefit/cost analysis was performed for all scenarios. It was found that when the pedestrian volume is greater than 90ped/h, the pedestrian signal was operated same as the fixed signal plan. That is, there is no benefit of pushbutton at all once the pedestrian volume is greater than 90ped/h. When the pedestrian volume is equal to or less than 90ped/h and the traffic volume is greater than 2,500veh/h, B/C ratio is greater than 1. Also it was found that as traffic volume increases and pedestrian volume decreases, the benefit increases. In this study, the criteria for installation of pushbutton on the crosswalks of mid-block are developed through the sensitivity analysis and benefit/cost analysis. The results of this study may be used as a criteria for expansion of pushbutton system.

Radiation cooling has used ceilings or floors as cooling surfaces. In such cases, to avoid moisture condensation on the surface, the surface temperature needs be higher than the dew point temperature or an additional dehumidifier is added. In this study, with a goal for residential application, intentional moisture condensation on the cooling surface was attempted, which increased the cooling capacity and improved the indoor comfortness. This method included two separate refrigeration cycles - convection-type dehumidifying cycle and the panel cooling cycle. Test results on the panel cooling cycle showed that, at the standard outdoor ($35^{\circ}C/24^{\circ}C$) and indoor ($27^{\circ}C/19.5^{\circ}C$) condition, the refrigerant flow rate was 8.8 kg/h, condensation temperature was $51^{\circ}C$, evaporation temperature was $8.8^{\circ}C$, cooling capacity was 376 W and COP was 1.75. Furthermore, the panel temperature was uniform within $1^{\circ}C$ (between $13^{\circ}C$ and $14^{\circ}C$). As the relative humidity decreased, the cooling capacity decreased. However, the power consumption remained approximately constant. In the convection-type dehumidification cycle, the refrigerant flow rate was 21.1 kg/h, condensation temperature was $61^{\circ}C$, evaporation temperature was $5.0^{\circ}C$, cooling capacity was 949 W and COP was 2.11 at the standard air condition. When both the radiation panel cooling and the dehumidification cycle operated simultaneously, the cooling capacity of the radiation panel cycle was 333 W and that of the dehumidification cycle was 894 W, and the COP was 1.89. As the fan flow rate decreased, both the cooling capacity of the radiation panel and the dehumidification cycle decreased, with that of the dehumidification cycle decreasing at a higher rate. Finally, a possible control logic depending on the change of the cooling load was proposed based on the results of the present study.
Iron (hydro)oxides in aqueous environments are primarily formed due to mining activities, and they are known to be typical colloidal particles disturbing surrounding environments. Among them, hematites are widespread in surface environments, and their behavior is controlled by diverse factors in aqueous environments. This study was conducted to elucidate the effect of environmental factors, such as ionic composition and strength, pH, and natural organic matter (NOM) on the behavior of colloidal hematite particles. In particular, two analytical methods, such as dynamic light scattering (DLS) and single-particle ICP-MS (spICP-MS), were compared to quantify and characterize the behavior of colloidal hematites. According to the variation of ionic composition and strength, the aggregation/dispersion characteristics of the hematite particles were affected as a result of the change in the thickness of the diffuse double layer as well as the total force of electrostatic repulsion and van der Walls attraction. Besides, the more dispersed the particles were, the farther away the aqueous pH was from their point of zero charge (PZC). The results indicate that the electrostatic and steric (structural) stabilization of the particles was enhanced by the functional groups of the natural organic matter, such as carboxyl and phenolic, as the NOM coated the surface of colloidal hematite particles in aqueous environments. Furthermore, such coating effects seemed to increase with decreasing molar mass of NOM. On the contrary, these stabilization (dispersion) effects of NOM were much more diminished by divalent cations such as Ca2+ than monovalent ones (Na+), and it could be attributed to the fact that the former acted as bridges much more strongly between the NOM-coated hematite particles than the latter because of the relatively larger ionic potential of the former. Consequently, it was quantitatively confirmed that the behavior of colloidal hematites in aqueous environments was significantly affected by diverse factors, such as ionic composition and strength, pH, and NOM. Among them, the NOM seemed to be the primary and dominant one controlling the behavior of hematite colloids. Meanwhile, the results of the comparative study on DLS and spICPMS suggest that the analyses combining both methods are likely to improve the effectiveness on the quantitative characterization of colloidal behavior in aqueous environments because they showed different strengths: the main advantage of the DLS method is the speed and ease of the operation, while the outstanding merit of the spICP-MS are to consider the shape of particles and the type of aggregation.
Purpose : To evaluate our clinical experience with the combination of teletherapy and intraluminal brachytherapy in patients with unresectable or inoperable esophageal cancers. Materials and Methods : From Nov 1989 to Mar 1993, twenty patients with esophageal cancer were treated with radical radiotherapy and intraluminal brachytherapy at Yonsei Cancer Center. All patients had squamous histolgy and stage distribution was as follows: stage II, 4($20{\%}$)patients; III, 15 ($75{\%}$)patients; IV, 1($5{\%}$)patients. A dose of S-12Gy/1-3weeks with intraluminal brachytherapy (3-5Gy/fraction) to 5mm from the outside of the esophageal tube using high dose rate Iridium-192 remotely afterloading brachytherapy machine was given 2 weeks after a total dose of 59-64Gy with external radiotherapy. Induction chemotherapy using cisplatin and 5-FU was performed in 13 patients with median 3 cycles(1-6 cycles), Response rate, local control rate, survival and complications were analysed retrospectively. Results : Two-year overall survival rate and median survival were $15.8{\%}$ and 13.5 months. Response rates were as follows complete remission(CR) 5($25{\%}$): partial remission a(PRa) 7($35{\%}$): partial remission b(PRb) 7($35{\%}$), no response(NR) 1($5{\%}$). Patterns of failure were as follows; local failure 13($65{\%}$), local and distant failure 3($15{\%}$), distant failure 0($0{\%}$). Ultimate local control rate was $20{\%}$. Treatment related complications included esophageal ulcer in two patients and esophageal stricture in one. Conclusion : Though poor local conrol rate, median survival was improved as compared with previous results of radiation therapy alone(8months) and chemoradiation combined treatment(11 months) in Yonsei Cancer Center High-dose-rate intraluminal brachytherapy following external irradiation is an effective treatment modality with acceptable toxicity in esophageal cancer.

This study was conducted to develop the fertigation system with a peristaltic hose pump and brushless DC motor. The fertigation system was consisted of sensor, main controller, motor control unit, peristaltic pump, water supply pump, control panel, and filter. The peristaltic pump discharges liquid by squeezing the tube with rollers. Rollers attached to the external circumference of the rotor compresses the flexible tube. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing. The developed fertigation system has no mixing tank but instead injects directly a concentrated nutrient solution into a water supply pipe. The revolution speed of the peristaltic pump is controlled by PWM (Pulse width modulation) method. When the revolution speed of the peristaltic pump was 300rpm, the flow rate of the 3.2, 4.8, 6.3mm diameter tube was 202, 530, 857mL/min, respectively. As increasing revolution speed, the flow rate of the peristaltic pump linearly increased. As the inner diameter of a tube larger, a slope of graph is more steep. Flow rate of three roller was more than that of four roller. Flow rate of a norprene tube with good restoring force was more than that of a pharmed tube. As EC sensor probe was installed in direct piping in comparison with bypass piping showed good performance. After starting the system, it took 16~17 seconds to stabilize EC. The maximum value of EC was 1.44~1.7dS/m at a setting value of 1.4dS/m. The developed fertigation system showed ±0.06dS/m deviation from the setting value of EC. In field test, Cucumber plants generally showed good growth. From these findings, this fertigation system can be appropriately suitable for fertigation culture for crops.
