  • T his paper presents the lateral and longitudinal control algorithm for the driving of a 4WS AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle). The control law to the lateral and longitudinal control of the AGV includes adaptive agin tuning ability, that is the controller gain of the gravity compensated PD controller can be changed on a real-time. The gain tuning law is derived from the Lyapunov direct method using the output error of the reference model and the actual model, And to show the performance of the presented lateral and longitudinal control algorithm, we simulate toe nonlinear AGV equations of the motion by deriving the Newton-Euler Method, The read path is from quay yard area to docking position in loading yard area. The quay yard area is where the quay crane loads the container to the AGV and the docking position is where the container is transferred to the gantry crane. The road types are constructed in a straight line and J-turn. When driving the straight line, the driving velocity is 6㎧ and the J-turn is 3㎧.

  • This paper presents to study the path tracking method of AGV(autonomous guided vehicle) which has a laser guidance system. An existing automatic guided vehicles(AGVs) which were able to drive on wired line only had a automatic guidance system. However, the automatic guidance systems that those used had the high cost of installation and maintenance, and the difficulty of system change according to variation of working environment. To solve such problems, we make the laser guidance system which is consisted of a laser navigation and gyro, encoder. That is robust against noise, and flexible according to working environment through sensor fusion. The laser guidance system can do a perfect autonomous driving. However, the commercialization of perfect autonomous driving system is difficult, because the perfect autonomous driving system must recognize the whole environment of working space. Hence, this paper studied the path tracking of AGV using laser guidance system without wired line. The path tracking method is consisted of virtual path generation method and driving control method. To experiment, we use the fork-type AGV which is made by ourselves, and do a path tracking experiments repeatedly on same experimental environment. In result, we verified that proposed system is efficient and stable for actual fork-type AGV.

Comparison of Readability by Text Attributes of Self-Guided Interpretive Signs (자기안내식(自己案內式) 해설판(解說板) 글자 속성(屬性)에 따른 가독성(可讀性) 비교(比較)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • Understanding the readability of texts in signs is necessary to enhance the communication effectiveness of the self-guided interpretive signs. This study compared signs' readability by different text attributes. A total of 1391 respondents participated in the questionnaire survey at the 'Neodeolgeong' area in Mudeung-Mountain Provincial Park during September-November of 2004. This study found that 'Hy Gyunmyungjo' in letter style, 'both-side' in letter justification, 190% (HWP 2002) in space between lines, 10 (HWP 2002) in space between letters, and 25 in the number of letters in a line showed the highest readability in text size 58 point, respectively. This study illustrated an example of an interpretive sign made up by combing the five text attributes which show the highest readability. This study also discussed the interpretive signs' text design and future research questions.

  • The small infrared image homing sensor is the eye of a guided weapon that has an infrared image sensor that identifies a target on the ground through day and night infrared image processing and searches, detects, and tracks the target. Inside the guided weapon since the power supply and communication line are used together with various components, the part against electromagnetic wave interference is very important. In particular, the effect of CE (Conducted Emission) through the power and communication lines connected by cables is very important. Through this method, it is possible to directly affect other components of the guided weapon. In this paper, the EMI filter and cable design for avoiding electromagnetic interference to the power input through the cable and the communication line are described. Also, the designed EMI filter is manufactured After the CE102 test of MIL-STD-461G, design satisfaction will be explained.

On-line Image Guided Radiation Therapy using Cone-Beam CT (CBCT) (콘빔CT (CBCT)를 이용한 온라인 영상유도방사선치료 (On-line Image Guided Radiation Therapy))

  • $\underline{Purpose}$: Using cone beam CT, we can compare the position of the patients at the simulation and the treatment. In on-line image guided radiation therapy, one can utilize this compared data and correct the patient position before treatments. Using cone beam CT, we investigated the errors induced by setting up the patients when use only the markings on the patients' skin. $\underline{Materials\;and\;Methods}$: We obtained the data of three patients that received radiation therapy at the Department of Radiation Oncology in Chung-Ang University during August 2006 and October 2006. Just as normal radiation therapy, patients were aligned on the treatment couch after the simulation and treatment planning. Patients were aligned with lasers according to the marking on the skin that were marked at the simulation time and then cone beam CTs were obtained. Cone beam CTs were fused and compared with simulation CTs and the displacement vectors were calculated. Treatment couches were adjusted according to the displacement vector before treatments. After the treatment, positions were verified with kV X-ray (OBI system). $\underline{Results}$: In the case of head and neck patients, the average sizes of the setup error vectors, given by the cone beam CT, were 0.19 cm for the patient A and 0.18 cm for the patient B. The standard deviations were 0.15 cm and 0.21 cm, each. On the other hand, in the case of the pelvis patient, the average and the standard deviation were 0.37 cm and 0.1 cm. $\underline{Conclusion}$: Through the on-line IGRT using cone beam CT, we could correct the setup errors that could occur in the conventional radiotherapy. The importance of the on-line IGRT should be emphasized in the case of 3D conformal therapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy, which have complex target shapes and steep dose gradients.

  • We re-render a photographic image as a simulated pencil drawing using two independent line integral convolution (LIC) algorithms that express tone and feature lines. The LIC for tone is then applied in the same direction across the image, while the LIC for features is applied in pixels close to each feature line in the direction of that line. Features are extracted using the coherent line scheme. Changing the direction and range of the LICs allows a wide range of pencil drawing style to be mimicked. We tested our algorithm on diverse images and obtained encouraging results.

  • In this paper we propose low-impedance and miniaturized a wilkinson power divider on MMIC passive component which was fabricated by a novel microstrip line structure employing periodically perforated ground metal (PPGM). The novel microstrip line structure showed much lower impedance and shorter guided-wavelength than conventional one. Using the novel microstrip line with periodically perforated ground metal, a miniaturized 17 ${\Omega}$ power divider was fabricated. The line width of the power divider was 20 ${\mu}m$, and the size of it was 0.110 $mm^2$, which is 21 % of conventional one. The power divider exhibited good RF performances from 10 to 20 GHz.

  • This paper describes a vision-based line recognition and control of driving direction for an AGV(autonomous guided vehicle). As navigation guide, black stripe attached on the corridor is used. Binary image of guide stripe captured by a CCD camera is used. For detect the guideline quickly and extractly, we use for variable thresholding algorithm. this low-cost line-tracking system is efficiently using pc-based real time vision processing. steering control is studied through controller with guide-line angle error. This method is tested via a typical agv with a single camera in laboratory environment.

  • We proposed a design method for squib current supply & interlock circuits in guided-missile fire control systems. In order to design squib current supply circuits, various missile squib loads including line resistance and squib devices have to be considered in advance minimizing probability of redesign of circuits and reducing the development cost by implementing the most proper squib current supply circuit. Also, we presented a hardware interlock logic instead of the commonly used software safety logic to improve the safety of guided-missile fire control systems. The proposed squib interlock circuit enhances safety requirements of guided-missile fire control systems. We confirmed that simulation and measurement results of the proposed design method are the same as theoretical analysis results.

A Study on Factors Influencing the Intention of Playing On-line Games (온라인게임 플레이 의도의 영향요인 연구)

  • This study investigates the determinants of continuous user intention of playing on-line games. Based on the data collected through on-line survey, we find that telepresense and commitment influence on the perceived utility of on-line games which, in turn, has effects on continuous user intention of and information sharing among on-line game players. In addition, the findings support the premise that the method of playing game and challenges influence on commitment, whereas rewards for playing game do not. As another determinant of perceived utility of on-line games, telepresense is found to be guided by diplomatic system and storytelling in on-line games.
