다중 균열 보강 판재에 관한 파괴 역학적 해석 (Fracture Mechanics Analysis of Multiple Load Path Plate)

  • The compliance approach to the problem of load sharing between a cracked plate and multiple plate used to bridge the crack. The theory is validated by using calculated stress intensity factors for the multiple load path plate to reduce experimentally observed growth rate to a common base. Calculations are them made on the effect of multiple load path plate width on fatigue crack retardation in order to demonstrate the predictive capability of the technique.

  • Fatigue crack growth behavior of inclined cracked Al 6061-T6 thick aluminum plate(6mm) repaired with the bonded composite patch was studied. A 0°inclined crack bonded reinforced composite patch and 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°inclined crack plates were tested. The effect of patch and inclined angle were studied and compared to each other. Also we investigated to the crack propagation direction and debonding behavior during the fatigue crack growth test. In this paper. a study was con(ducted to get an fatigue life, fatigue crack growth ratio and crack growth direction. Finally, the effectiveness of composite patch on inclined cracked plate was investigated. The results demonstrated thats there was a definite variation in fatigue life and fatigue crack growth behavior depending on the inclined crack angle.

수종의 탄성 의치상 이장재에 대한 Candida albicans의 성장에 관한 연구 (IN VITRO GROWTH OF CANDIDA ALBICANS ON SEVERAL RESILIENT DINTURE LINERS)

  • For the purpose of this study was to determine the growth of Candide albicans on the surface of the resilient denture liners. The discs$(40\times40mm)$ of 2 resilient lining materals (Molloplast B, Mollosil) and one conventional acrylic resin (K-33) and one metal plate were processed and disinfected. Firstly, the test discs were placed into petri dish, and Candide albicans suspensions was overlayed on the test discs. And the test discs were incubated with intermitant shaking for 1 hour, 2 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours. After incubation, imprint culture method was achived and counted the colony on the agar plate. Secondly, the effect of denture cleansing agents on the growth of Candide alibicans on the resilient dentureliners was evaluated. The results were as follows : 1. The growth of Candida albicans on discs of Molloplast B and Mollosil was increased than that on discs of acrylic resin and metal plate (p<0.05). 2. As Candide albicans suspensions were incubated for 2 hours, the growth of Candida albicans on discs of Mollosil was increased than that on discs of Molloplast B (p<0.05), and the growth of Candide albicans on discs of metal plate was increased than that on discs of acrylic resin (p<0.05). 3. As Candide albicans suspensions were incubated for 6 hours, the growth of Candide albicans on discs of Mollosil was increased than that on discs of Molloplast B (p<0.05). 4. The growth of Candide albicans on discs of Mollosil and Molloplast B in treating denture cleansing agent was inhibited than control discs (p<0.05).

압력용기 보강재의 용접 형태에 따른 피로균열성장 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Crack Growth Behaviour for the Welded Configuration in Pressure Vessel Stiffener)

  • The study is to investigate the influence on the fatigue crack growth behaviors for the welded configuration in pressure vessel stiffener. In order to perform this goal, the automatic welded specimens were prepared. The material is ASTM A516 grade 60 steel used in pressure vessel mainly. In skip welding of pad-on-plate, continuous fillet welding and PWHT specimen, fatigue crack is generally initiated at the starting and end old toe zone, and ruptured at the starting old toe zone. The fatigue life of pad-on-plate of the continuous fillet welding specimen is larger than that of pad-on-plate skip fillet welding specimen about 85% under low load, about 20% under high load and less than that of two-pad continuous fillet welding specimen about 85%. In da/dN-$\Delta$K curve under low load, skip fillet welding specimen of pad-on-plate showed retardation on the initial crack, and the fatigue crack growth rate at the low region of $\Delta$K greater specimen E($3.8 {\times} 10^{-6}mm/cycle$). And the fatigue life of welding specimen was smaller than that of PWHT specimen.

소아 Hand AP영상에서 골연령 예측을 위한 TW3법의 응용 (The Application of TW3 method for Prediction about Bone Age in Hand AP Image of Children)

  • 본 연구는 TW3법에서 골성숙 가중치가 가장 높은 7부위를 선정하여 성장판과 골 말단부 사이의 길이를 측정하여 연령과의 상관관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 실험은 2014년 3월에서 2015년 3월까지 성장판검사를 시행한 소아 72명(남 36명, 여 36명)을 대상으로 하였으며, 소아 손 전후영상에서 성장판과 골 말단부 사이의 길이를 측정하여 회귀분석을 하였다. 그 결과 각 연령마다 특정범위에 상응하는 평균과 표준편차 값이 나타났으며, 연령이 증가할수록 성장판과 골 말단부 사이 길이가 감소하였다. 또한 여아가 남아에 비해 평균값이 작게 나타났으며, 회귀분석 결과에서 성장판과 골 말단부 부위 측정 길이와 연령이 통계적으로 유의(p<0.001)한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 소아 손 전후영상에서 TW3법의 응용을 통한 회귀방정식으로 골연령의 예측이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

복합재료 보강재로 보수되어진 균열을 가진 두꺼운 평판의 피로균열 성장에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Crack Growth of Composite Patching Repaired on Cracked Thick Plate)

  • An experimental investigation of the effect of composite patching repair was conducted to characterize the fatigue crack growth behavior in thick A16061-T6 (6mm) panels with single bonded patch by fiber reinforced composite patch. Four patch lengths and no patch plate were examined. An analytical procedure, involving three-dimensional finite element method having three layers to model cracked aluminum plate, epoxy by adhesive and composite Patch, is calculated the stress intensity factors. From the calculated stress intensity factors, the fatigue crack growth rates are obtained. At the single patching type, different fatigue crack growth ratios through the palate thickness were investigated by using the experimental and analytical results. The results demonstrated that there was a definite variation in fatigue life depending on the size of composite patch. While crack reached the patch end, retardation of crack growth was also revealed in the bonded repair.

홍국으로부터 불리한 Monascus 균주의 향균효과 (Antimicrobial Effect of Monascus Strains Isolated from Ang-Khak)

  • Total 29 Monascus strains were isolated from Ang-Khak and 4 of them were selecte based on the relative intensity of soluble red pigment and growth rate. The optimum growth temperature of the selected isolates was 32.5$^{\circ}C$ on malt extract agar(MEZ) plate. The optimum growth pH was 5.0 on czapek yeast extract agar plate, while it was pH 6.2 or 6.5 on MEA plate. Isolate No. 116, especially, showed the strongest animicrobial activity aganist Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus but much less aganist Escherichia coli and Enterobacter aerogenes. The maximun antimicrobial activity of isolate No. 116 against St. aureus was achieved at initial pH 5.3 on rice extract broth. The acitivity was increased with increasing amount of culture broth concentrate of isolate No. 116.

판상형 산화아연의 합성 및 응용에 관한 연구 동향

  • As one of the most versatile semiconductors, zinc oxide (ZnO) with one-dimensional (1-D) nanostructures has been significantly developed for the application of ultraviolet (UV) lasers, photochemical sensors, photocatalysts, and so on. Such 1-D nanowires could be easily achieved due to the anisotropic growth rate along the [0001] direction. However, such typical growth habit leads to decrease the surface area of the (0001) plane, which plays a central role in not only UV lasing action but also photocatalytic reaction. This fact lead us to develop ZnO crystal with enhanced polar surface area through crystal growth control. The purpose of this review is to provide readers a simple route to plate-type ZnO crystal with highly enhanced polar surfaces and their applications for UV-laser, photocatalyst, and antibacterial agents. In addition, we will highlight the recent study on pilot-scale synthesis of plate-type ZnO crystal for industrial applications.

냉각 평판에서 서리 성장 모델링 (Modeling for Frost Growth on a Cold Plate)

  • This paper presents a mathematical model to predict the frost properties and heal and mass transfer within the frost layer formed on a cold plate. The laminar flow equations for the air-side are analyzed. and the empirical correlations of local frost properties are employed in order to predict the frost layer growth. The correlations of local frost density and effective thermal conductivity of frost layer, obtained from various experimental conditions, are derived as functions of various frosting parameters (Reynolds number, frost surface temperature, absolute humidity and temperature of moist air, cooling plate temperature, and frost density). The numerical results are compared with experimental data and the results of various models to validate the present model, and agree well with experimental data within a maximum error of 10%. The heat and mass transfer coefficients obtained from the numerical analyses are presented, as the results, it is found that the model for frost growth using the correlation of heat transfer coefficient without solving air flow have a limitation in its application.

Effects of Bojungikgitang-gagambang on Longitudinal Bone Growth in Adolescent Rats

  • Objectives: This study was aimed to investigate the effect of Bojungikgitang-gagambang (BJIG) on longitudinal bone growth in rats. Methods: The BJIG treated group (300 mg/kg) and the control group (vehicle) were administered orally twice daily for 4 days. To investigate the effects of BJIG we measured body weight gain. The bone growth effect was analyzed by measuring between fluorescent lines marked with tetracycline, which plays the role of fluorescent dye on the surface of the tibia. Tetracycline was intraperitoneally injected. The height of growth plates in the epiphyseal plate was measured. The expression of bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) and insuline-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) was investigated by immunohistochemistry. Results: BJIG caused a significant acceleration of longitudinal bone growth of $349.7{\pm}15.9{\mu}m/day$ compared to control ($319.8{\pm}21.4{\mu}m/day$). The height of overall growth plate was not significantly more compared to the control, but the size of cells in the proliferative zone and hypertrophic zone were. In the immunohistochemistry, BMP-2 and IGF-1 were expressed markedly in the proliferative or hypertrophic zone, respectively. Conclusions: BJIG stimulated the chondrocyte hypertrophy and chondrogenesis in the growth plate and directly increased the longitudinal tibia length of rats.
