Euler 방정식에 대한 LU implicit scheme의 수렴성 해석 (Convergence Analysis of LU scheme for the Euler equations)

  • A comprehensive study has been made for the investigation of the convergence characteristics of the LU scheme for the Euler equations using von Neumann stability analysis. The stability results indicate that the convergence rate is governed by a specific parameter combination. Based on this insight it is shown that the LU scheme will not suffer convergence deterioration at any grid aspect ration if the local time step is defined using appropriate parameter combination. The numerical results demonstrate that this time step definition gives uniform convergence for grid aspect ratios from one to $1\times10^4$.

광역 도심 배송을 위한 Efficient Grid 기반 경로 계획 알고리즘 연구 (Research of the Efficient Grid-based Path Planning for Large-Scale Delivery in the Urban Environment)

  • This study focuses on the path planning algorithm for large-scale autonomous delivery using drones and robots in urban environments. When generating delivery routes in urban environments, it is essential that avoid obstacles such as buildings, parking lots, or any other obstacles that could cause property damage. A commonly used method for obstacle avoidance is the grid-based A* algorithm. However, in large-scale urban environments, it is not feasible to set the resolution of the grid too high. If the grid cells are not sufficiently small during path planning, inefficient paths might be generated when avoiding obstacles, and smaller obstacles might be overlooked. To solve these issues, this study proposes a method that initially creates a low-resolution wide-area grid and then progressively reduces the grid cell size in areas containing registered obstacles to maintain real-time efficiency in generating paths. To implement this, obstacles in the operational area must first be registered on the map. When obstacle information is updated, the cells containing obstacles are processed as a primary subdivision, and cells closer to the obstacles are processed as a secondary subdivision. This approach is validated in a simulation environment and compared with the previous research according to the computing time and the path distance.

소형 연료전지 연계형 DC GRID 부하 특성 (Load Characteristics of the DC GRID Connected to Small Fuel Cells)

  • In recent years, understanding the dynamics of DC distribution system has become critically important due mainly to the increasing needs for the interconnection of DC distributed generators and the (DC-based) electric vehicle (EV) charging systems. In this paper, the characteristics of the DC grid system connected to the compact proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) has been studied. In particular, the voltage and current transient phenomena were measured by varying the load of the DC grid system. Also, the voltage and current ripple were measured at the different load conditions. Our experimental results clearly manifested that the study contributes to the establishment of fundamental method to characterize the small DC grid system including distributed generation.

Exploring Low-Cost Grid-based Tactile Instruments for Understanding and Reproducing Shapes for People with Visual Impairments

  • While tools exist for blind people to understand shapes, these are not commercially available nor affordable and often require the assistance of sighted people. Thus, we designed two low-cost grid-based tactile tools using toggle buttons (TogGrid) and cotton balls (CottonGrid). To assess the potential of these as an educational tool, we conducted a user study with 12 people with visual impairments where they were asked to understand and reproduce shapes under different conditions. Although CottonGrid is relatively cheap and easy to make, findings show that TogGrid was perceived to be better in terms of perceived easiness, task completion time, accuracy, and preference in general. Particularly, participants valued TogGrid for enabling them to identify and correct errors. Based on the findings, we provide implications for utilizing toggle buttons for designing educational instruments for learning and expressing shapes for blind people.

  • In distributed computing paradigm, mobile surrogate systems migrates from on host in a network to another. However, Mobile surrogate system have not gained wide acceptance because of security concerns that have not been suitably addressed yet. In this paper, we propose a security framework based on Grid Proxy Gateway for mobile Grid service. The current Grid Security Infrastructure is extended to mobile computing environments. The surrogate host system designed for mobile Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) users can access the certified host and get his proxy credential to launch remote job submission securely.

그리드 인덱스 기법을 이용한 교통 빅데이터 맵핑 방안 연구 (A Study on Traffic Big Data Mapping Using the Grid Index Method)

  • 최근 자율주행의 발달로 차량에 장착된 다양한 센서가 일반화 되고 그 센서에서 발생되는 빅 데이터는 교통 분야에서 활용도가 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 교통 빅 데이터의 활용을 위해 실시간으로 발생되는 차량 센싱 빅 데이터와 도로 기상 등 공공데이터를 지도상에 효율적으로 맵핑하기 위한 그리드 인덱스 기법을 제안하였으며, 제안한 그리드 공간 분할 방식과 그리드 ID 부여 방식에 대하여 적용 가능성 및 효과를 분석하였다. 차량 센서에서 실시간 분석된 강수 데이터를 전국 화물차의 디지털 운행기록장치(DTG, Digital Tachograph) 데이터를 기반으로 가상 생성하여 좌표기반으로 맵핑하였으며, 제안 방식과 링크 단위 처리방식의 처리 속도를 비교하였다. 제안 방식은 링크 단위의 처리 방식 대비 약 2,400배 이상의 데이터 처리 성능 개선을 나타냈다. 추가로 그리드 맵핑의 적용 가능성 및 링크 단위 맵핑과의 차별성을 확인하고자 가상 생성한 데이터를 시각화하고 비교하였다.

사회연결망분석을 활용한 스마트그리드 연구동향 분석 (Research Trend Analysis for Smart Grid using Social Network Analysis)

  • As the power grid has been changed to a smart grid, existing power technologies are evolving into convergence technology through interdisciplinary research. According to the government policy to increase the proportion of renewable energy to 20% by 2030, the speed seems to be accelerating. This study analyzes the relationship between research technologies in order to grasp research trends of smart grid technology. To this end, we analyze the relationship between keywords extracted from topic modeling using social network analysis methodology. This is because, in the field where interdisciplinary research such as smart grid is active, each research topic is not independent, but research technologies emerging in one topic coexist in different topics, and linkage between research technologies can be important information. Therefore, this study can contribute to the analysis of research trend as it can be used as a package tool together with a topic modeling methodology.

Techno-Economic Optimization of a Grid-Connected Hybrid Energy System Considering Voltage Fluctuation

  • This paper proposes an optimization approach of a grid-connected photovoltaic and wind hybrid energy system including energy storage considering voltage fluctuation in the electricity grid. A techno-economic analysis is carried out in order to minimize the size of hybrid system by considering the benefit-cost. Lithium-ion battery type is used for both managing the electricity selling to the grid and reducing voltage fluctuation. A new technique is developed to limit the voltage perturbation caused by the solar irradiance and the wind speed through determining the state-of-charge of battery for every hour of a day. Improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) methods, referred to as FC-VACPSO which combines Fast Convergence Particle Swarm Optimization (FCPSO) method and Variable Acceleration Coefficient Based Particle Swarm Optimization (VACPSO) method are used to solve the optimization problem. A comparative study has been performed between standard PSO method and PSO based methods to extract the best size with the benefit cost. A sensitivity analysis has been studied for different kinds and costs of batteries, by considering variable and constant state-ofcharge of battery. The simulations, performed under Matlab environment, yield good results using the FC-VACPSO method regarding the convergence and the benefit cost of the hybrid system.

미래 융합산업 표준 전략: 전기 자동차 충전 표준과 스마트그리드 통신 표준 충돌 사례 (Standard Strategies for Convergence Industries: A Case of Clash between Electric Vehicle Charging Standards and Smart Grid Communication Standards)

  • 본 연구는 2012~2013년 국내 전기차 시장에서 크게 논란이 되었던 콤보 전기 자동차 충전 표준과 국내 스마트그리드 표준 간 충돌 사례를 이해관계자 이론을 활용하여 분석하였다. 사례 연구를 위해 문헌 조사 및 복수의 전문가 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 전기 자동차는 충전을 위해 전력망과 연결될 때 데이터 교환을 한다. 따라서 통신 표준 문제가 대두된다. BMW는 글로벌 전기 자동차 시장에서 업계를 대표하는 사실상 표준의 지위를 얻어 가고 있던 콤보 충전 기술을 채택하여 국내 전기차 시장에 진입하였는데, 그 과정에서 국내 스마트 그리드 전력망의 원격검칭용 통신 기술과 상호 주파수 간섭을 일으키는 문제가 발생하였다. 이 문제를 둘러싸고 이해관계자들의 대립이 계속되면서 국내 전기 자동차 충전 기술 관련 표준(국가표준 및 단체표준)화를 위한 의사결정들이 지연되었고, 이 논란은 2014년 1월 콤보 기술이 한국자동차공학회의 단체표준(KSAE SAE 1772-2040, 2014.1)으로 인정되면서 일단락되었다. 이 사건은 전기 자동차 표준 그 자체만이 아니라, 융합산업 시대에 있어서 타 산업 표준과의 충돌 및 조정의 필요성을 부각시키는 의미있는 사례이다. 본 연구는 전기 자동차 충전 표준과 스마트그리드 표준이라는 이종 산업 간의 표준 충돌의 복잡한 역학 관계를 이해 관계자 이론을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구는 표준화 과정을 둘러싼 경험적 및 이론적 연구가 충분하지 않다는 점에서, 이해관계자 이론을 활용한 사례 축적과 방법론 정립에 기여하고, 또한 표준화 과정에 참가하는 이해관계자들이 이 과정에 영향을 미치기 위한 행위 양식 정립과 전략 수립에 유용한 시사점을 제공한다.

비엇갈림 격자계에서 CIP법을 이용한 캐비티내의 유동해석 (Analysis of the Flow in Square Cavity Using CIP Method in Non-staggered Grid Arrangement)

  • In this study, we discuss CIP method, which can treat compressible/incompressible problem and multi-phase problem. We can apply this method to the general equations by using CCUP. In this paper, non-staggered grid arrangement and predictor-corrector method are used to enhance later development and the solution accuracy and convergence performance. To validate the numerical algorithm proposed in this paper, the two-dimensional unsteady flow in the driven cavity is simulated. The numerical results of this subject using the present algorithm are compared with other numerical results. As a result, it is prived that the present scheme gives stable and improved solutions, and the results even coarse grid are in good agreement with other result using a fine grid arrangement.
