녹색항만의 구축과 활성화 방안 -인천항의 사례를 중심으로- (Study of the Strategy of Establishment and Expansion of Green Port - the Case of Incheon Port -)

  • 인류에게 환경가치는 생존과 발전을 위해 매우 중요하다. 물류부문에서의 환경가치와 그 중요성이 강조되며 관련 논의가 확대되고 있다. 녹색물류(green logistics)는 환경물류(environmental logistics)란 개념과 같은 개념으로 이해되고 있다. 녹색물류란 본래의 자연의 유지 또는 지속가능한 발전을 위해 원재료의 탐색에서 최종소비자에 이르는 과정과 사용 및 사용 후 재활용, 재사용, 폐기 등에 이르기까지의 전 과정에서 환경을 보호하며, 환경위해 요소와 행위를 원천적으로 차단하거나 최소화하는 여러 물류활동이라 할 수 있다. 인류의 거의 모든 활동 즉 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화 등 전 분야에서 환경을 유지, 보전하려는 노력이 진행되고 있다. 특히 다양한 재화를 생산하고 부가가치를 확대하는 경제활동과 이를 활용하는 사회적인 측면에서 환경보전이 강조될 필요가 있다. 물류는 경제활동의 일부로서 인류에게 소요되는 모든 물적 재화의 흐름을 포괄하며, 녹색(환경)물류는 지구상에서 환경의 보호와 파괴 방지 및 최소화를 지향하는 활동이라 할 수 있다. 항만은 물류활동의 중요 위치를 형성하는 중요한 물류거점이다. 본 연구에서는 녹색물류와 녹색항만의 개념에 대한 고찰과 기존의 선행연구를 검토하였다. 본 연구는 인천항을 사례로 선정하여 항만의 대기와 수질의 오염실태를 살펴보았다. 인천항의 환경오염 실태와 과제 등을 분석하고 향후 녹색항만으로서 인천항을 위한 다양한 대안과 전략을 모색, 제시하였다. 청정한 녹색항만은 항만 단독의 노력으로만 성취되기 어렵다. 관련 정부와 지방자치단체 및 시민사회의 관심과 참여 등이 통합적으로 조정될 때 더 효과적으로 성취될 수 있을 것이며, 본 연구에서는 관련 협력체계를 제시하였다. 녹색항만은 빠르게 변화하는 선진기술들을 수용하여 환경개선에 지속적으로 노력할 때 그 실효성이 더 향상될 것이다. 물류분야에서 녹색항만에 대한 연구는 향후에도 보다 구체적으로, 현장에 연계되어 추진될 필요가 있을 것이다.

업종별 환경 친화적 물류활동에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Environmentally Friendly Logistics Activities by Industry)

  • Need to make efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in order to slow global warming is globally recognized and also appealing to the United Nations. The main cause of greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide, and the nation has 23.9 percent of its total emissions in the transportation sector. It was also reported that 61.56 percent of living waste is being recycled, suggesting that environmentally friendly logistics activities should proceed with efforts on goods and services at each stage of distribution. In this study, we conducted a survey of green logistics activities that were environmentally friendly by businesses, divided into management, water/delivery and packaging waste, and identified the status and level of each business sector. As a result, data was collected from 36 manufacturing companies, 28 distribution businesses, and 40 logistics businesses, all of which were 104 companies, and based on the analysis results, a measure for environmentally friendly logistics activities was proposed.

녹색성장 정책과 정부 지원에 관한 연구 -녹색물류를 중심으로- (A Study on the Green Growth Policy and Government Support -Focusing on the Green Logistics-)

  • 세계 각국은 저탄소 녹색성장을 미래의 신성장동력으로 설정하고, 다양한 노력을 경주하고 있다. 이에 우리나라도 녹색성장을 전국가적인 최우선 정책과제로 설정하고, 다양한 정책을 추진하고 있다. 우리나라가 추진하고 있는 녹색성장의 경우 몇 가지의 정책을 중점적으로 추진하고 있다. 우선 우리나라가 추진하고 있는 녹색성장은 부가가치를 창출하고, 국가의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위한 녹색 산업 육성에 중점을 두고 있다. 녹색성장은 삶의 양식 전체의 전환을 통해 추진됨을 고려할 때 보다 균형 있는 시책의 추진에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 다른 하나는 중앙정부 주도의 정책추진에 무게가 실리고 있다. 정책의 기획이나 수립은 중앙정부의 주된 영역이라고 할 수 있지만, 녹색성장 정책은 결국 지역에서 실현된다고 볼 때, 중앙정부와 각 지역의 적절한 정책 조율 또한 다른 나라에서 볼 수 없는 우리나라만의 주요한 특징이라고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 녹색성장의 특성과 녹색물류의 추진 실태를 분석하고, 녹색물류의 정부 지원 정책을 연구하여 정부의 정책 지원에 대한 검토와 이에 대한 대안을 제시함으로써 우리나라의 녹색물류의 추진전략을 개발하고자 함이다.

Generalized Vehicle Routing Problem for Reverse Logistics Aiming at Low Carbon Transportation

  • Deployment of green transportation in reverse logistics is a key issue for low carbon technologies. To cope with such logistic innovation, this paper proposes a hybrid approach to solve practical vehicle routing problem (VRP) of pickup type that is common when considering the reverse logistics. Noticing that transportation cost depends not only on distance traveled but also on weight loaded, we propose a hierarchical procedure that can design an economically efficient reverse logistics network even when the scale of the problem becomes very large. Since environmental concerns are of growing importance in the reverse logistics field, we need to reveal some prospects that can reduce $CO_2$ emissions from the economically optimized VRP in the same framework. In order to cope with manifold circumstances, the above idea has been deployed by extending the Weber model to the generalized Weber model and to the case with an intermediate destination. Numerical experiments are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach and to explore the prospects for future green reverse logistics.

Analysis on Logistics Efficiency of China's Agricultural Products Cold Chain from the Green Perspective

  • Although the market demand for cold-chain logistics of agricultural products in China is growing rapidly, the technology and scale of cold-chain logistics in China still lag behind the developed countries, resulting in large energy consumption. In our country, many authors have studied the efficiency of cold-chain logistics by using analytic hierarchy process and data envelopment method, but they haven't eliminated the influence of environmental factors and random error factors on the efficiency of cold-chain logistics, and most of them are limited to regional research. Therefore, in this paper, the three-stage DEA method is used. Based on the green logistics idea, firstly, the efficiency of 29 listed logistics enterprises in China is analyzed. Secondly, this paper uses SFA model to exclude the influence of environment and error factors on the analysis results, taking the enterprise's operating years, local GDP and the proportion of cold chain assets as environmental variables. Finally, this paper estimates the efficiency value again by adjusting the input value. The results are as follows: the main reason of high efficiency enterprises is to achieve scale efficiency. So the scale of assets should be maintained or appropriately expanded. At the same time, the economic development and the number of years of enterprise establishment will significantly affect the efficiency of cold-chain logistics. The influence of these environmental variables on the accuracy of the analysis conclusion should be fully considered.

GCM 시스템 구축 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Construction of GCM System)

  • GCM(Green Chain Management) is being spread by that companies which apply with eco-friendly concept in entire SCM(Supply Chain Management) perspective is being increased for resolving some recent environmental problems. There are reasons that numerous companies focus on GCM. At first various governments began to directly manage components and material contents about various noxious substances. Second, environment problem management in the entire logistics process from procurement of product materials to distribution of product became to be important according to introduction of certification system that evaluate the environmental impact throughout life-cycle of products. Purposes of this paper are 1) to analyze the GCM process whose important is more increasing in the recent logistics environment change, 2) to comprehend places and sources that generate environmental elements like energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in elements of logistics function, and 3) to construct integrated GCM system for observing activity of logistics function throughout life-cycle of products.

  • The Korean Government decided to reduce 30% of carbon emissions as of 2020, tightening regulations to reduce greenhouse gas in the international society. Therefore it will burden Korean logistics industry that overland trucking freight covers 70~80% of all, to lower emissions. As known, rail and coast(feeder) transport systems can be substituted for road transport but there are many problems to solve in Korean multimodal (intermodal) transport system such as time, cost, etc. Because of this, multimodal transport system should be improved systematically. For the reason, it aims to study a conceptual model with Thinking Process of TOC(theory of constraints) and System Dynamics to help improve the existing multimodal transport system for green logistics.

A Green Logistics Network Design to Increase Responsiveness to Eco-Friendly Consumers

  • Purpose: The industrial sector, especially in developed countries, is seen as the primary threat to sustainability. As a result, contemporary organizations prioritize establishing sustainable business practices. This sustainability can be achieved by organizations being concerned with their external environments, which is referred to as going green. This study aims to provide a green logistics network design to explain how to attract green consumers. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted a comprehensive process to obtain textual dataset in the current literature and finally the author could collect total 26 relevant prior studies to achieve the purpose of the study. All dataset was thoroughly screened and selected for the high-degree of validity. Results: Based on the intensive literature review, the author insists that the four findings presented in this study will be useful as they provide evidence of the importance of technology in achieving global sustainability.in the situation we face that technology has become an important part of human life. Conclusions: This study provides meaningful insights into the environmental strategies that organizations across the world can implement to achieve a green supply chain based on the solutions in this study. The strategies presented in this study are evidence-based and have been tested through different studies.
