간호교육을 통하여 학생들에게 육성해야하는 능력에 대한 고찰 - 학제 및 일반적인 대학교육과의 차이를 중심으로 - (Study of Abilities Required to Develop for Student in Nursing Education)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify key abilities needed to develop for student nurses. Methods: A methodological research design was used in this study. The abilities for student nurses were developed through literature review and educational objectives analysis of 60 nursing colleges in Korea. Results: Finally, the abilities required to develop for student nurses in higher education were 8 cluster of abilities and 19 abilities such as problem solving ability, relationship ability, professional ability, ability in information processing, globalization, voluntary service. Conclusion: To perceive and achieve abilities for student nurses in higher education has to be needed a systematic approach in setting objectives, to improve curriculum and to develop program and educational methods.

단일 의과대학에서 학생 선발 전형 요소와 학업성취도의 관계 (Student selection factors of admission and academic performance in one medical school)

  • Background: This study was conducted to examine the academic achievements of first year medical students in one medical school based on their characteristics and student selection factors of admission. Methods: The admission scores of student selection factors (Medical Education Eligibility Test [MEET], grade point average [GPA], English test score and interview) and demographic information were obtained from 61 students who had interviewed (multiple mini interview [MMI]) for admission (38 graduate medical school students in 2014, 23 medical college-transfer students in 2015). T-tests and ANOVA were used to examine the differences in academic achievement according to the student characteristics. Correlations between admission criteria scores and academic achievements were examined. Results: MEET score was higher among graduate medical students than medical college transfer students among student selection factors for admission. There were no significant differences in academic achievement of first grade medical school between age, gender, region of high school, years after graduation and school system. The lowest interview score group showed significantly lower achievement in problem-based learning (PBL) (p=0.034). Undergraduate GPA score was positively correlated with first grade total score (r=0.446, p=0.001) among admission scores of student selection factors. Conclusion: Students with higher GPA scores tend to do better academically in their first year of medical school. In case of interview, academic achievement did not lead to differences except for PBL.

학생 설문조사를 통한 탄소중립캠퍼스 조성요인 분석 - 충북대학교 재학생을 대상으로 - (Analyzing Carbon-Neutral Campus Development Measures through Recognition Analysis of Students - Focused on Chungbuk National University -)

  • In response to climate change under a university level, this study has intended to find carbon-neutral campus development measures for Chungbuk National University (CBNU), which is composed of such facilities as education, research, and residential buildings. To reach this goal, we reviewed related literatures to find development measures for carbon neutral campus, employed a survey method asking students to show their preference and suitability toward provided measures, and statistical analyses to find appropriate measures using factor analysis. We have found the following results. First, based on literature review, we have identified several concepts regarding carbon-neutral city and has found the elements of carbon-neutral campus development. Second, we have drawn carbon-neutral campus development measures of CBNU through factor analysis. Finally, based on the characteristics and the present carbon-neutral campus conditions of the CBNU, we presented development measures.

고분자불질 및 계면활성제의 유동마찰 저감 특성 비교 연구 (A Comparison Study on Drag Reduction Characteristics of Polymer and Surfactant as Drag Reduction Additive)

  • The drag reduction(DR) of non-ionic surfactant and polymer according to the variation of fluid velocity, temperature and surfactant concentration was investigated experimentally. For this experiment, the kind of surfactant was non ionic amine-oxide and the kinds of polymer were polyacrylamide and xantan gum. An experimental apparatus equipped with one water storage tanks was built and two flow meters, two pressure gauges for data logging system was installed. Results showed that the kinds of polymer, polyacrylamide and xantan gum, had DR of below 20% for below 500 ppm in fluid temperature of $50{\sim}80^{\circ}C$. But the kind of surfactant, amine oxide, had DR of above 40% for 500~1000 ppm in fluid temperature of $50{\sim}80^{\circ}C$. As a result, amin oxide showed better materials to use to the district heating system.

도시 기온차이의 주간 변동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Weekly Variation of Urban Air Temperature Difference)

  • 도시화, 산업화로 인해 도시는 그 주변지역보다 기온이 높은 도시열섬 현상이 발생하고 있으며 이는 인간 활동에 의한 인공폐열 배출량의 증가에 기인한다. 이러한 인간 활동에 의한 도시기온의 변화는 도심과 농촌지역의 차이로 인한 공간적 변이와 아울러 주중과 주간에 기온 차이가 발생하는 시간적 변이를 포함하고 있으나 도시열섬현상의 공간적 변이에 의한 연구에 비해 시간적 변이에 의한 연구는 많이 수행되고 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 서울 도심의 주중과 주말의 기온차이를 다년간 관측을 통하여 주중과 주말의 주간 변동의 특성을 파악하여 도시 기온의 시간적 변이를 파악하기 위하여 서울시 강남구를 사례로 2007년 10월 31일부터 2010년 12월 11일까지 약 3년간 관측한 자료를 이용하여 분석한 결과 5개 관측지점 모두 주중(weekday)이 주말보다 $1.6{\sim}1.7^{\circ}C$ 기온이 더 높았으며 이는 주중에 도시 내에서 방출하는 인공폐열의 양이 더 많음을 의미하며 고밀도지역은 냉난방수요가 많아 토지이용에 따라 기온의 차가 크므로 이를 저감시키기 위한 도시 및 조경계획이 필요하다.

A Study on Multi-Objective Fuzzy Optimum Design of Truss Structures

  • This paper presents decision making method of structural multi-objective fuzzy optimum problem. The data and behavior of many engineering systems are not know precisely and the designer is required to design the system in the presence of fuzziness in the multi-goals, constraints and consequences of possible actions. In this paper, in order to find a satisfactory solution, the membership functions are constructed for the fuzzy objectives subject to the fuzzy constraints, and two approaches are presented by using the different types of fuzzy decision making. Thus, multi-objective fuzzy optimum problem can be converted into single objective non-fuzzy optimum problem and satisfactory solution of the multi-objective fuzzy optimum problem can be found with general optimum programming. Illustrative numerical example of the ten bar truss for minimum weight and minimum deflection is provided to demonstrate the process of finding the solution and the results are discussed.

Determinants of Business Education on Student Satisfaction in Higher Education: A Case Study in Cambodia

  • The study uses an innovative management perspective to investigate the environment of higher education institutions to ensure the survival of universities in Cambodia. This has led Cambodian universities to expand their educational offerings to students in Years 2, 3 and 4. The data was collected through a Google Forms survey to facilitate and accelerate data collection. The sample of 500 students come from three higher education institution by employing multi-stage sampling technique of probability and non-probability sampling methods to ensure representation of the research population. The data were analyzed by using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM) to investigate the impact of these determinants on students' satisfaction and loyalty, via answering 54 questions. The results showed that the three Cambodian universities perform well in terms of satisfactory conditions such as transformative quality and university image. There are four issues to which universities need to pay attention, namely, teaching methods, infrastructure facilities, learning material, and academic environment that are yet to meet the needs of students. This study contributes to the principle of innovative management in the context of Cambodian academic environment. The results help to fathom the depth of enhancing quality and institutional survival.

Algorithm for Discrimination of Brown Rice Kernels Using Machine Vision

  • An ultimate purpose of this study is to develop an automatic brown rice quality inspection system using image processing technique. In this study emphasis was put on developing an algorithm for discriminating the brown rice kernels depending on their external quality with a color image processing system equipped with an adaptor for magnifying the input image and optical fiber for oblique illumination. Primarily , geometrical and optical features of sample images were analyzed with unhulled paddy and various brown rice kernel samples such as sound, cracked, green-transparent , green-opaque, colored, white-opaque and brokens. Secondary, an algorithm for discrimination of the rice kernels in static state was developed on the basis of the geometrical and optical parameters screened by a statistical analysis(STEPWISE and DISCRIM Procedure, SAS ver.6). Brown rice samples could be discriminated by the algorithm developed in this study with an accuracy of 90% to 96% for the sound , cracked, colored, broken and unhulled , about 81% for the green-transparent and the white-opaque and about 75% for the green-opaque, respectively. A total computing time required for classification was about 100 seconds/1000 kernels with the PC 80486-DX2, 66MHz.

벽체-감쇠 복합시스템을 갖는 건물의 지진취약도 분석 (Seismic Fragility Analysis of Buildings With Combined Shear Wall-Damper System)

  • Structural vibration induced by earthquake hazards is one of the most significant concerns in structure performance-based design. Structural hazards evoked from seismic events must be properly identified to make buildings resilient enough to withstand extreme earthquake loadings. To investigate the effects of combined earthquake-resistant systems, shear walls and five types of dampers are incorporated in nineteen structural models by altering their arrangements. All the building models were developed as per ACI 318-14 and ASCE 7-16. Seismic fragility curves were developed from the incremental dynamic analyses (IDA) performed by using seven sets of ground motions, and eventually, by following FEMA P695 provisions, the collapse margin ratio (CMR) was computed from the collapse curves. It is evident from the results that the seismic performance of the proposed combined shear wall-damper system is significantly better than the models equipped with shear walls only. The scrutinized dual seismic resisting system is expected to be applied practically to ensure a multi-level shield for tall structures in high seismic risk zones.
