  • The purpose of this article is to introduce a useful methodology of effective goal-setting for the team-level units. As a way to overcome some common symptoms in terms of Strategic Performance Evaluation System such as lack of knowledge on goal-setting, disconnection of process, problem of judging the degree of difficulty about objectives, limits of staff departments evaluation, fairness and authority of evaluators, weakness in coaching technique, and quantity or figure-oriented evaluation, to name a few, and to seek a more plausible goal-setting methodology, the author suggests a persuasive goal-setting concept: VAR(Value-Added Results). VAR, as the end-results, is the team contributions that add value to the organization, and it results from the team's activities. In addition to these goal-setting technique based on the concept of value-added results, several aspects should be improved for Strategic Performance Evaluation System to be implemented more effectively. They are: 1) shift from MBO to MP & D(Managing Performance & Development), 2) impartial exercise of evaluation authority as a organizational public assets, 3) reinforcement of maternal leadership and servantship instead of paternal leadership, 4) utilization of IT-based evaluation system.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the type of participation motivation of lifelong education for the elderly influenced in the satisfaction of education and the life-changing. The research objects were 340 the elderly who participated in this program of lifelong education and over 65 years old. The results of this study are as below. Firstly, there was significant difference in the satisfaction of education and life-changing only in the sexuality, education, monthly pocket money and spouse. Secondly, in the satisfaction of education and life-changing, it was shown that the satisfaction of education of the type of education-oriented was higher than that of the type of activity-oriented and felt the life-changing much. Thirdly, the result of regression analysis dependent valuable was the satisfaction of education and independent valuables were the sub-factors of the type of participation valuables was shown that only education-oriented and goal-oriented influenced the positive effects. Fourthly, the result being proved whether there were the effects of life-changing according to the type of participation motivation of education was indicated that only the type of education-oriented and goal-oriented influenced the positive effects.

  • This study examined the effects of Cyber University students' educational participatory motivation and life satisfaction on their satisfaction with their major. The subjects were 937 adult learners at one of the Cyber Universities in Seoul, Korea, who were over 20 years of age. The results were as follows. First, the main motivation of the Cyber University students was goal-oriented, followed by learning-oriented motivation and activity-oriented motivation. Second, there were significant differences in their educational participatory motivation, life satisfaction and major satisfaction according to their sex, age, occupation, marriage and major. Third, their life satisfaction and three types of educational participatory motivation had positive effects on the satisfaction with their major in the order of life satisfaction, goal-oriented motivation, learning-oriented motivation and activity-oriented motivation. These findings suggest that adult learners' quality of life and motivation to learn are very important for increasing the degree of satisfaction with their major.

The participants were 217 teachers in private day care centers. LBDQ (Halpin, 1967), RSLQ (Houghton & Neck, 2002), and a teachers' efficacy questionnaire (Kim & Lee) were used. The data collected were analyzed by SPSS 18.0. The results of this study were as follows: First, teachers cognized that directors' leadership was very high. Second, directors' leadership was clustered by 4 types: human oriented, task oriented, leader and deficient type. And, teachers' efficacy was clustered by 4 types: leader, restricted, compensated and task oriented type. • This study analyzes the consumption patterns of the poor households. The first objective of this analysis is to show that the group living in poverty get not one consumption pattern but several types of consumption patterns. The second objective is to understand what factors effect the consumption patterns. This study use the data of Korea Welfare Panel Study in 2008 & 2009. In oder to achieve first goal, We conduct factor analysis and cluster analysis. And to achieve second goal, We conduct multinomial logistic Analysis. Major findings are as follows. First we find six patterns of consuming types of the poor households. They are education oriented consuming type, diet oriented type, social network oriented type, transportation-communication oriented type, health & medical oriented type, and housing expenditure oriented type. Second we find these consumption patterns are effected by not economic factors but socio-populational factors, especially by life cycle of members of household.

  • This study empirically analyzed the effects of elderly people participating in lifelong learning on their psychological well-being. For this purpose, 160 elderly people who participated in lifelong education programs in hospitals C and D located in Cheonan city were selected as the subjects. A survey was conducted for 10 days, from May 8, 2019 to May 17, 2019. First, does the goal-oriented factor, which is part of the lifelong learning motivation of the elderly, have a positive effect on their psychological well-being? Second, does the activity-oriented factor of the elderly have a positive effect on their psychological well-being? Third, does the learning-oriented factor of elderly people's motivation for participating in lifelong learning have a positive effect on their psychological well-being? To answer these research questions, variables such as gender, age, marital status, and education level were controlled through correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis was also performed. The results of the direct effect analysis showed that goal-orientation (${\beta}=.244$; p<.001) and activity-orientation (${\beta}=.321$, p<.001) have statistically significant positive effects on psychological well-being. However, a learning-orientation (${\beta}=.284$, p>.001) was found to have no statistically significant effect on psychological well-being. Based on these findings, lifelong learning programs for the elderly should be more goal-oriented and activity-oriented than learning-oriented to promote the psychological well-being of the elderly.

  • A speaker's intentions can be represented by domain actions (domain-independent speech act and domain-dependent concept sequence pairs). Therefore, it is essential that domain actions be determined when implementing dialogue systems because a dialogue system should determine users' intentions from their utterances and should create counterpart intentions to the users' intentions. In this paper, a neural network model is proposed for classifying a user's domain actions and planning a system's domain actions. An integrated neural network model is proposed for simultaneously determining user and system domain actions using the same framework. The proposed model performed better than previous non-integrated models in an experiment using a goal-oriented dialogue corpus. This result shows that the proposed integration method contributes to improving domain action determination performance.

  • Interdisciplinary treatment of Class III malocclusion with congenital missing of unilateral maxillary canine and anterior crossbite is discussed focusing on a problem-oriented treatment planning, treatment progress, and treatment result. Maxillary mini-implant provided anchorage for distalization of the maxillary right porsterior dentition. Mandibular mini-implants were used to distalize the whole mandibular dentition. Total treatment time was 17 months to achieve a successful treatment goal. Stable occlusion was maintained after 12 months of retention.
