Drug metabolism is a critical determinant of the therapeutic and adverse effects of many psychotropic drugs. The metabolism depends on the pharmacokinetics of a drug, which includes its absorption, distribution, and elimination. Psychotropic drugs are metabolized mainly by cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes; about 20 of these enzymes exist and they are often responsible for the rate-limiting step of drug metabolism. CYP2D6 is the best-characterized P450 enzyme that exhibits polymorphism in humans. This study determined the relationship between the CYP2D6*10 (P34S) polymorphism and the response to mirtazapine in 153 Koreans with major depressive disorder (MDD). The genotype frequencies were compared using logistic regression analysis, and between-genotype differences in the decrease in the 21-item Hamilton Depression (HAMD21) score over the 12-week treatment period were analyzed using a linear regression analysis. The proportion of remitters was lower in patients with MDD possessing the S allele than in P allele carriers after 2 weeks of mirtazapine treatment. Similarly, the reductions in the HAMD21 and Clinical Global Impression (CGI) scores in S allele carriers were smaller than those in patients with the P allele after 2 weeks of mirtazapine treatment. In the analysis of depression symptoms, the sleep and delusion scores had smaller reductions in S allele carriers. Based on the Liverpool University Neuroleptic Side Effect Rating Scale (LUNSERS), the psychic adverse effects of mirtazapine were associated with CYP2D6 P34S, while weight gain was not. These results suggest that CYP2D6 P34S affects the outcome of mirtazapine treatment in patients with MDD, and that this polymorphism may be a good genetic marker for predicting the clinical outcome of mirtazapine treatment.

Due to the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and global warming, the importance of forest ecosystems, as a place of carbon accumulation and emission, has received a great amount of recognition lately. This study was performed to help understand and provide the current status of carbon cycle in the pinus densiflora stand, Korea. The samples were collected from average 35-years-old Pinus densifiora rands in Gongju, Youngdong, Chungsan, Muju, Mupung, and Jangsu regions. Total thirty aboveground sample trees were cut, and ten roots were sampled, and soil samples were collected. Average carbon concentrations in foliage, branch, stem bark, stem wood, and root were 55.7%, 56.0%, 56.0%, 57.3%, and 56.5%, respectively. Carbon content was estimated by the model $Wt=aD^b$ where Wt is oven-dry weight in kg and D is DBH in cm. Total carbon content (aboveground and root) was 42.39tonC/ha in the Pinus densiflora stand. The proportion of each tree component to total carbon content was high in order of stemwood, root, branch, stem bark, and foliage. Total net primary production (aboveground and root) was estimated at 6.51tonC/ha/yr in Pinus densiflora stand. The proportion of each tree component to total net primary carbon content was high in order of sternwood, root, branch, foliage and stembark. Soil carbon contents in the study sites was 43.51tonC/ha at 0-50cm soil depth.
The purpose of this study is to examine the differences in appearance management behaviors and demographic variables among groups classified by the appearance management motives. The questionaries are administerd to 493 female and male adults above 20 years old in Seoul, Kyeonggi-do, Daegu and Kyungpook regions. For analysis of data from 478 respondents, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, cluster analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, ANOVA, Duncan test and ${\chi}^2$ test were applied. We show the following results: First, factor analysis for appearance management motives extracted three factors such as self-development, emphasis on the trendy appearance, and sexual appealing motive. Factor analysis for appearance management behaviors extracted four factors such as weight training, surgery/skin care, hair care and clothing selection. Second, three groups of the appearance management motives were classified into such as the social self-management type, the sexual appealing self-management type, the passive appearance management type. The social self-management groups are more interested in self-development, emphasis on the trendy appearance, and sexual appealing motive. And they are also more involved in appearance management behaviors: clothing selection is the most pursuing appearance management behavior. Third, among the demographic variables, the single and female in 20s and 30s with higher level of education belonged to the social self-management group. In this contribution, we find significant differences in the appearance management behavior and demographic variables classified by the appearance management motives.

As the seriousness of the global environment pollution is gaining our attention recently, researches on application of greenhouse gas emission of ship are being carried globally. However domestic study on greenhouse gas emission from ship was not carried out in various fields. In this study, quantitative data which was presented by greenhouse gas emission of training ship HANBADA and greenhouse gas emission was calculated by Tier 1 method based on total fuel consumption and amount of shore power. Actual voyage data for 1year in 2012 was used to analysis the greenhouse gas emission. This study showed how many weight of gases were exhausted per 1 gross tonnage and per 1trainee in the training ship. There is a need of further research to reduce pollutant and to respond to international environment regulation consistently.

Background: The prevalence of smoking among secondary school children continues to remain unchanged over the last 3 decades even though awareness regarding the health effects of smoking is increasing. Common misconceptions about smoking and parental influence could be factors influencing future intentions to smoke among these students. Hence, we looked at the common misconceptions as well as student perceptions about their future intention to smoke among Form 4 students in Shah Alam, Malaysia. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted by distribution of a questionnaire developed as part of the Global Youth Tobacco Survey to Form 4 student in 3 schools at Shah Alam. Results: Prevalence of smoking (current smokers) was 7.5%. Almost half of the children came from families where one or both parents smoked and a third of the parents had no discussion regarding consequences of smoking with them. A large number of students were classified as "triers" as they had tried smoking and were unsure of whether they would not be smoking in the future. Contrary to our expectations, students generally felt smoking did make one feel more uncomfortable and helped one to reduce body weight. Most students seemed to be aware of the ill-effects of smoking on health. They felt they had received adequate information from school regarding the effects on smoking on health. Conclusions: Our study showed that even though Form 4 students in Shah Alam were knowledgeable about ill-effects of smoking and were taught so as part of their school curriculum, the prevalence of smoking was still high. Students in the "trier group" represent a potential group of future smokers and strategies targeting tobacco control may be aimed at tackling these vulnerable individuals. Efforts are also needed to help educate secondary school children about common misconceptions and dispel myths associated with cigarette smoking.

Objective: This study was conducted to analyze the effects of stocking density on growth and carcass quality, and behavior of Hanwoo cattle to conform with global trends, targeting animal welfare production through the practice of environmentally friendly condition. Methods: Thirty six steers were randomly assigned to three treatment groups (C: 5 heads, T1: 4 heads, T2: 3 heads) and reared in separate pens with a constant stocking density of $50m^2$ (C: $10m^2/head$, T1: $12.5m^2/head$, T2: $16.67m^2/head$) per group from 12 to 30 month of age. Growth performance, behavior and carcass quality traits of each steer were recorded and compared between the treatment groups. Results: In general, the average daily gain during the fattening period was lower in group T2 than in T1 and the control groups. However, carcass weight and dressing percentage was lower in the control group than in T1 or T2 groups (p<0.05). Also, marbling score at 30 months of age was the lowest in the control group (p<0.05), while the three heads group (T2) had the greatest longissimus muscle area and marbling score (p<0.05). The behavior of walking time was the greatest in T2 group, while self-grooming and fighting occurred with the most frequency in the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Our results show that the steers in more spacious stocking density had better carcass quality and wellbeing related behaviors, indicating that a lower density has a positive effect on raising management and carcass quality. Thus it is a need to install appropriate pens fitted to welfare-oriented management practices from growing to fattening period in Hanwoo cattle.

Today venture holds highly skilled technical manpower and high-tech products. To maintain the superiority in competition in the market, it is necessary to complete preparations, first of all, the effectual global marketing strategy should take precedence over the others. Therefore, this research is based on the research report of the special feature, the state of affairs and marketing strategy of venture business and is made up the questionnaire to interview total 200 companies of venture that was registered in Dec. 2006 and then is made the analysis of relevance of the statistical data of 154 companies of them and set up a hypothesis. As the result of it, it is set up two hypotheses. One of them is the difference of products, price, distribution and promotion according to the growth period. And the other is the difference of distribution and promotion according to the turnover. The venture places the great deal of weight on the discriminatory products concerned technical development and marketing activity. It is pointed out that it is to be passive to seek a new market promote the products, because of limitations of manpower, funds, technology and information in the beginning with smalt turnover.
This study aims to provide suggestions for the development of educational contents on historical events that can solve the existing curriculum's problems, such as the disproportionate weight given to Western historical events. The study focuses on content ranging from the start of the Agricultural Revolution (7000 BC.) to the start of the Industrial Revolution (AD. 1760). The results are as follows. We used the Delphi technique for deriving global historical events. Among them, 56 historical events were selected as the data for Social Network Analysis (SNA). The results of SNA showed that topics related to Civilization has a high priority. In addition, the results of a coagulation analysis showed the events can be divided into seven groups. The classification criteria is different from the criteria used for the current period. We expect that the suggested framework developed for historical contents will constitute a new approach to historical interpretation through network visualization and linkage analysis.

Sea level rise due to global warming causes seawater intrusion into aquifers in coastal areas. Seawater intrusion vulnerability index was developed using PSR (Pressure, State, Response) model and analysis hierarchy process (AHP). Coastal regions in Korea, Gangwon-do Sokcho-si, Incheon-si Ganghwa-gun, Chungcheongnam-do Taean-gun, Jeollanam-do Yeosu-si, Jindo-gun were chosen and 14 indicators were selected by considering the humanities, economic, social, environmental aspects. Re-scaling method was used for the standardization of indices and questionnaire survey was performed to calculate weight values for each index. The results showed that Yeosu-si was selected as the most vulnerable region to seawater intrusion. The seawater intrusion index developed in this research can be used to analyze the vulnerable regions to seawater intrusion and to establish a policy to minimize the seawater intrusion problems in coastal regions.
Korea's automobile industry, which has grown rapidly to become the world's fifth-largest automobile producer, To cope with environmental pollution and energy problems in order to prevail competitive edge in global market We are investing a lot of research personnel and costs. Among them, for realizing alternative light weight It is a part of the automobile module system that has achieved the technological development before the breakthrough in the injection molding process in the press process. Door module PNL was the subject of research. The door module PNL is expected to cause warpage before the mold production due to the thin and flat product characteristics and fiber orientation characteristic of the material. In this paper, CAE analysis and reverse correction tool Design. CAE analysis to obtain the results of weld line position, bending position and deformation value Through the correction tool, think3, the original product was modified before the mold production to improve the completeness of the parts. In fiber orientation, the position and size of the cooling channel in the mold, the position and size of the gate, Temperature, pressure, time, and work environment. Compared with the result of CAE analysis, the product that was reverse-corrected by Think3 was manufactured, and injection molding was performed. Injection molding products were tested 24 hours later. 3.5 mm to 7.0 mm, and under the fixed condition, the deviation was from 1.1 mm to 1.5 mm. Unlike the CAE analysis, the deviation of the actual injection pressure and the cooling temperature, the fiber orientation of the material, In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to compare the injection conditions with the database, I knew I had to catch the standard.
