It is very important to analyze effectively the tolerance of an optical system with high resolution as the projection lens of photolithography or as the objective lens of a microscope. We would like to find an effective assembly structure and compensators to correct aberrations through global wavefront sensitivity analysis using Zernike polynomial expansion from the field and pupil coordinates rather than from only pupil coordinates. In this paper, we introduce global wavefront coefficients by small perturbations of the optical system, and analyze the optical performance with these coefficients. From this analysis, it is possible to see how we can enlarge the tolerance through the proper assembly structure and compensators.

In the environment of protectionism and bilateral trade agreements, Korea has promoted the conclusion of FTAs for its export-oriented trading policy, and 16 FTAs have entered into force at present. The main goal of this paper is to introduce the ISI system and its benefits and to extend the preferential rule of origin regime by using the Integrated Sourcing Initiative in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. The ISI illustrates with impressive clarity the fact that it considered as a tool of expanding the geographic limit of states and maximizing the global sourcing strategy of multinational corporations, allowing the developing countries to gain access to the market of developed ones that avoid the complexity and costs of many rules of origin regimes. This paper utilizes the literature research and analyzes a case study of FTAs which have adopted the ISI system. In conclusion, it presents several implications of additional measures to satisfy rules of origin in Korea's existing FTAs relating to the global supply chain strategy.

The objective of this study has two folds. The first is to investigate current global certification system and the second is to suggest some possible solutions for expanding global e-trade networks. Both research and industrial communities recognize the importance of global certification problems in connection with global e-trade payment because global e-trade volume continue to grow. But not many research results have been reported to the communities in identifying some barriers against active global certification systems. This paper intents to suggest some possible solutions for improved global certification system and the results are summarized as follows: First, strict certification structure has to be relaxed by considering diverse mutual certification methods in global e-trade practice. This paper provides some comparative results about mutual certification methods among different nations. Second, numerous business models have to be derived such that they can be applied to other global certification applications than global e-trade. Third, global certified networks have to be expanded beyond mutual certification level. Once the certified structure among different nations have been established then diverse certified authority channels have to be implemented. Finally, since Korea has already established very good public certification infrastructure within the nation this platform has to be positioned in the center of global e-trade networks. This paper has of course to accept a critique such as this study provided limited results to generalized global e-trade certification model, and therefore empirical study for assessing robust model should be pursued in the future.

All over the world, energy environment dramatically changes because of highly oil price, global warming and reduction of greenhouse gas. The power sector is effected directly indirectly by these factors. Especially, the power expansion planning of power sector should adapt itself to new surroundings. This paper presents the new system of the power expansion planning that reflects Genco's needs, power market and variable conditions. This presented system would provide regulator and Gencos with useful information about a power planning.

Error of the geometric series expansion method for the structural sensitivity analysis is estimated. Although the semi-analytic method has several advantages, accuracy of the method prevents it from practical application. One of the promising remedies is the use of geometric series formula for the matrix inversion. Its result of the sensitivity analysis converges that of the global difference method which is known as reliable one. To reduce computational efforts and to obtain reliable results, it is important to know how many terms need to expand. In this paper, the error formula is presented and Its usefulness is illustrated through numerical experiments.

관망상배관(Looped networks)시스템에서 관수로시스템의 전체비용은 폐회로유량(Loop flows)에 따라 영향을 받는다. 따라서 관망상배관의 최적설계를 위한 수학적모형을 추계학적 최적화방법에 적용하기 위하여 폐회로유량의 섭동(Perturbations)으로 전체비용이 변하게 하였다. 관망상 배관문제의 분석가능영역은 수많은 국지해(Local optimum)를 갖는 비볼록(Nonconvex)이므로 분석가능영역의 효율적인 심사를 위하여 수정추계학적 심사방법을 제안하였으며 이 방법은 국부심사단계(Global search phase)와 국지심사단계(Local search phase)로 구성되어 있다. 국부탐사에서는 점차적으로 국지해를 증진시키며 국지탐사에서는 국부탐사단계에서 교착상태에 있는 국지해로 부터 벗어나게 하거나 최종국지해를 증진시킨다. 제안한 방법의 효율성을 검정하기 위하여 참고문헌에 있는 기존관수로시스템의 병열관로(Parallel pipe line) 확장문제를 표본으로 채택하여 제안한 방법을 적용한 결과 먼저 발표된 연구자들의 비용보다 적은 비용으로 설계할 수 있었다.

The substantial slowdown of economic growth since the global financial crisis of 2008-2009 is rekindling debate on whether developing Asia should use fiscal expansion to boost aggregate demand. A key factor in the debate is the effectiveness of countercyclical fiscal policy in the region. The global crisis, as well as the fiscal stimulus packages implemented by developing Asian countries at that time, give some clues to this important issue. The region weathered the global crisis well and experienced a robust V-shaped recovery. According to conventional wisdom, the fiscal stimulus packages put in place by Asian governments played a key role in the region's recovery. The central objective of this paper is to empirically test this wisdom by using cross-country panel data. Our main finding is that the stimulus has had a limited but positive impact on developing Asia's output during the global crisis. This lends some support to the notion that countercyclical fiscal policy can help the region cope with severe external shocks. The broader, more fundamental implication for regional policymakers is that the region's long-standing commitment to fiscal discipline can yield significant benefits beyond macroeconomic stability. An important consequence of this commitment - relatively healthy fiscal balance sheets - enabled the region's governments to quickly and decisively embark upon fiscal stimulus programs.

교통분야에서 이용되는 최단경로 알고리듬은 분할탐색 기법에 기초를 두고 있다. 분할탐색 기법이란 기점으로부터 일정 영역을 분할하여 경로를 탐색, 종점가지의 경로를 구축하는 방법으로써 수형망(Tree Building)알고리듬이나 덩굴망(Vine Building) 알고리듬 등이 여기에 속한다. 그러나 이러한 분할탐색기법의 경우 교통망내에서 복수 수단간의 환승비용이 고려될 경우나 동적 최단경로를 탐색하는 경우에는 교통망을 확장하지 않으면 기종점간의 올바른 최단경로를 찾을 수 없다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제를 본 연구에서는 탐색 영역 문제(Searching Area Problem)라고 정의하였다. 본 연구에서는 탐색영역문제를 교통망 확장없이 해결할 수 있는 전역 탐색기법으로 유전 알고리듬을 이용하여 개발하였다.

These days, Korean government has been expanding Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with major countries. Expansion of FTA, which means opening up the markets, can be the opportunity to develop for those enterprises with global competency; however, it surely brings disadvantages to such small and medium enterprises which function as an outsourcing and a subcontracted to large enterprises. For Korean economy to overcome the national income of US$20,000 and to jump up to the level of advanced countries, it is imperative to perceive a limit to the large enterprises only. Not only the leading efforts of small and medium enterprises to double the exports, but also realizing the policy reform for the consistent and intimate policy between the government and companies have to be proceeded. Therefore, primarily in this study, first, it includes the overview of the change in trade-environment in an era of FTA, governmental system and policy to support export for the small and medium enterprises; secondly, examination of the export capacity and some problematic factors in export for small and medium enterprises. Ultimately, it is suggested both reinforcement for global competency of the small and medium enterprises and an alternative policy for the support system in the time expecting export expansion.

Facing a mature domestic market and the challenges of the global consumer market, retailers in Taiwan are in pursuit of international development strategies for increasing its market opportunities as one of its key growth strategies. In the global market, the Chinese market becomes Taiwan retailers' main international development milestone due to its similarity of language, culture and historical background with China. Therefore, this research uses case study method based on Eclectic paradigm (Dunning 1981) to explore the various advantages of a Taiwanese children's clothing retailer Les Enphants, which include ownership advantage, internalization advantage, and location advantage. These advantages in turn demonstrate rationales behind Les Enphants' internationalization necessity (Why to Go), selecting China as an expansion target (Where to Go), and management and operation strategies implemented in China (How to Go). Our study highlights a successful entry and expansion model of the Taiwanese children clothing retailer, and may have solid contribution to the practical application of internationalization strategy theory.
