신재생에너지 기기로서 히트펌프의 신재생에너지 생산량 (Renewable Energy Production by Heat Pump as Renewable Energy Equipment)

  • Most European economies, Japan, and many governments have made it a major policy to expand the green business by disseminating heat pump technology, which has a large $CO_2$ reduction effect. The heat pump of all heat sources has been recognized as renewable energy and the policy to encourage has been implemented. In the recently revised Renewable Energy Law, the hydrothermal source (surface sea water) heat pump was newly included in renewable energy. In addition, the scope of application of heat pumps has expanded in the mandatory installation of renewable energy for new buildings, remodeling buildings, and reconstructed buildings based on this law. However application to heat pumps using all natural energy as heat source has been put off. In this revision, the ratio of renewable energy to the total energy produced by the heat pump was fixed at 73%, which depends on coefficient of performance of heat pump. The ratio of renewable energy is $1-1.8/COP_H$, and should be calculated including the coefficient of performance of the heat pump. Using a high efficiency heat pump or a high-temperature heat source increases the coefficient of performance and also reduces $CO_2$ emissions. It is necessary to expand the application of heat pumps as renewable energy equipment and to improve the correct calculation of renewable energy production.

  • 오염지하수에 대한 복원시 필요한 주입관정, 지하수 인공함양을 위한 주입정 및 지열펌프에 사용되는 지하수 관정 등 지하수 관정을 이용하는 다양한 활동이 향후 국내에서 활발해질 것으로 사료된다. 그러나 이에 관한 법적 규정이 충분치 않아 일반 국민이나 담당 공무원에게 실무적으로 혼란이 있을 수 있다. 이에 미국 미주리주의 관련 규정 몇 가지를 간단히 소개함으로써 이에 관한 규정이 전문가들의 논의를 거쳐 국내에서도 속히 마련되기를 바란다.

2중열원 히트펌프시스템의 냉방성능예측에 관한 연구 (Cooling Performance Evaluation study of Dual-Source Heat Pump System)

  • A steady-state simulation model for Dual-Source Heat Pump(DSHP) of 8RT was presented. A Dual-Source Heat Pump(DSHP) has been designed to make up for the conventional air source heat pumps. The performance evaluation has been conducted under internal standard test conditions such as ISO-13256-1 and KS C 9306. However, as test conditions such as entering water, indoor and outdoor air conditions could not be controlled to satisfy the standard test conditions in outdoor tests, a series of experiments have been conducted with the actual test conditions. Then, computer models for DSHP could be used for the standard condition have developed using EES program. The model was developed from basic thermodynamic principles and heat transfer relations. Most of the parameters were obtained with EES from the actual catalog data. The simulation results were in good agreement with the experiments.

2단 승온 캐스케이드 히트펌프의 성능 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Performance of a Cascade Heat Pump with Two-stage Water Heating Process)

  • It is estimated that only heating and cooling take about one third of the total energy consumption worldwide. However, the conventional heating and cooling systems have low efficiencies. Also, boilers and electric heaters that are mostly used to generate both domestic and industrial hot water are inefficient and high energy consumers. For this reason, cascade heat pumps which are known to be very energy efficient and have less environmental impact are being promoted to replace conventional heating, cooling and hot water systems. In this study, a newly designed cascade heat pump by two-stage water heating method has been experimentally investigated. By adopting the auxiliary heat exchanger, the performance of the system was increased. The performance enhancement rate of the system could be maximized by adjusting the low stage compressor speed rather than the high stage compressor speed. The performance of the system with the auxiliary heat exchanger was enhanced by 16.5%.

시계열 분석을 이용한 지열히트펌프 가동에 따른 지하수특성변화 해석 (Time Series Analysis of the Effect of Ground-source Heat Pumps on Groundwater Characteristics)

  • 본 연구에서는 원주에 위치한 상지대와 괴산에 위치한 중원대의 여름철 지열히트펌프 가동에 따른 지하수 특성 변화를 이해하기 위해 각 관측정의 2010년 5월 21일에서 10월 12일까지의 수위, 수온, 전기전도도에 대하여 시계열분석을 실시하였다. 지하수를 직접 이용하는 수주지열정 방식의 지열히트펌프가 설치된 상지대의 경우 지열히트펌프 가동에 따른 영향을 많이 받아 지하수 특성이 많이 변화하였다. 반면에 유체를 통해 열교환을 하는 수직밀폐형 방식의 지열히트펌프가 설치된 중원대의 경우 지열히트펌프 가동에 영향을 많이 받지 않아 지하수의 특성 변화가 일어나지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과는 지열 히트펌프시스템의 설치 종류에 따른 지하수 특성 변화를 이해하기 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

신재생에너지 설비 설계방안 개발 및 시뮬레이션 사례 연구 (Development of a Renewable Energy Facility Design and Its Simulation Case Study)

  • Economic feasibility was conducted regarding the regulation that dictates obligatory installation of renewable energy facilities in small proportion. A concern is how to allocate the capacities of candidate facilities (solar collectors, PV cells and geothermal heat pumps) with minimum cost, and meet the obligatory energy supply proportion. A design rule has been developed, with which a designer can tune his or her design strategy between installation cost and LCC. This was derived mainly from documents regarding the KEMCO installation guide. It was concluded that PV was the cheapest, with respect to installation cost, but a geothermal heat pump was the most recommended, when LCC was also taken into account. The proposed design result was also confirmed, by simulation results obtained from Energy Plus.

기상청 지중 온도 데이터를 이용한 지중 온도 및 토양 열확산계수 산정 (Evaluation of Ground Temperature and Soil Thermal Diffusivity Using the Soil Temperature Data of KMA)

  • Storing and transferring heat in soils is governed by the soil thermal properties and these properties are therefore needed in many engineering applications, including horizontal ground heat exchanger for ground-coupled heat pumps. This paper presents the evaluation results of the ground subsurface temperature and apparent thermal diffusivity of soils by using ground temperature data collected at the depths of 0.5 m, 1.0 m, 1.5 m, 3.0 m, and 5.0 m at four sites. The existing correlation assuming that the soil was homogeneous and of constant thermal diffusivity was applied to calculate the subsurface temperature and two analytical equations, amplitude and phase equation, were also used to evaluate the soil apparent thermal diffusivity. Comparison of the estimated and of the measured values of the subsurface temperature has shown that the empirical correlation predicts quite accurately the ground temperature at various depths. Based on the one-dimensional heat conduction equation, the apparent thermal diffusivity can be estimated by the two equations.

  • 최근 에너지 위기와 지구 온난화의 영향으로 국내에서 건물의 냉난방에 지열에너지를 비롯한 재생에너지의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 지열히트펌프시스템은 지금까지 지구상에서 가장 환경친화적인 냉난방 공조설비의 하나로 알려져 있다. 그러나 지열히트펌프시스템의 설치 및 운영이 토양 지하수환경에 미칠 수 있는 몇 가지 영향들에 대한 보고가 있다. 이들 영향으로는 주로 지열히트펌프시스템의 부적절한 설치, 운영 및 폐쇄와 관련된다. 본 논문에서는 지열히트 펌프시스템이 토양 지하수환경에 미칠 수 있는 영향에 관하여 고찰하였다.

  • 최근 공공건물에 신재생에너지 적용이 의무화되었고, 기후변화협약의 발효로 이산화탄소배출 절감에 대한 관심이 매우 높다. 가장 효율이 높은 냉난방 시스템인 지열히트펌프를 대표적인 신재생에너지인 태양광발전을 이용하여 구동하여 건물을 냉난방을 수행하도록 적용되었다. 야간 또는 태양에너지 밀도가 낮은 날을 위하여 축열과 축냉을 할 수 있는 수축열시스템과 연계하여 적용되었다. 지열히트펌프는 도심지역의 열섬현상 해소에 기여할 수 있으며, 외기 온도의 변화에 관계없이 쾌적한 실내환경을 유지할 수 있으며 향후에 그린 빌딩인증등을 위해 에너지 절약과 신재생에너지 사용량을 높일 수 있는 방안으로 판단된다. 이를 적용한 설치 사례에 대한 사양과 운전 조건이 제시된다.

지열원 시스템 히트펌프의 냉방 성능 특성에 관한 실증 연구 (Verification experiment of a ground source multi-heat pump at cooling mode)

  • Recently, small and medium-sized buildings have employed a multi-heat pump. The major benefits of the multi-heat pump over a conventional system are that it is easier system to maintain along with a diversification of facility use, and high comfortability. The performance of multi-heat pump systems can be enhanced by using geothermal energy instead of air source energy. This paper describes the multi-heat pumps applied in an ground source heat pump system for an actual building. The performance of a ground source multi-heat pump installed in the field was investigated in cooling mode. The maximum COP of the systems with single U-tube and double tube ground loop heat exchangers were 6.6 and 6.0, respectively. It is suggested that the new algorithms to control the flow rate of secondary fluid for ground loop heat exchanger have to be developed in order to enhance the performance of the system.
