컴퓨터를 이용한 기하 변환학습에서 남녀성차에 따른 연구 (Gender Differences in Learning Geometric Transformations Using a Computer)

  • 본 연구는 남녀학생의 학습을 공평하게 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 모색하기 위한 일환으로, GSP를 사용한 테셀레이션 활동이 중학교 남녀학생의 수학적 성취도와 수학적 성향에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 중학교 남녀학생의 4학급을 대상으로 컴퓨터 환경의 기하적 교수학습자료가 2005년 2학기 3개월에 걸쳐 사용되었으며 사전, 사후 검사지로 자료수집이 이루어졌다. 연구결과는 테셀레이션 활동을 하였을 때 기하의 변환 학습의 성취도에서 유의미하게 차이가 났으며 여학생이 남학생보다 우수하였다. 이는 기하 또는 테크놀로지 환경에서 선행연구의 결과와 크게 대조를 이루는 것으로 매우 높은 여학생의 학습 성취 결과는 여학생들이 이런 종류의 학습 환경을 지원받았을 때, 자신들이 활동한 것을 학습요소와 더 잘 연결함을 나타낸다. 수학적 성향에서는 여학생들은 유의미한 수준은 아니었지만 긍정적인 변화를 나타내었고 향상도가 가파르게 상승하는 것으로 보아, 이보다 장기간의 테셀레이션 활동을 하게 된다면 더욱 유의미한 산출물을 가져올 것으로 예측할 수 있었다.

마들렌느 비오네의 작품에 나타난 기하학적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Geometry in Madeleine Vionnet´s Works)

  • The aim of this research is to analyze Vionnet´s geometric features, which can be regarded as the key formative beauty among the external characteristics of her works. and to thereby establish the theory that her works emitted a time-transcending life force because they were patterns designed based on a geometrical frame of mind. To prove such argument, studies to understand the basic geometrical aspects appearing in her works will be made by taking a look at the general features of geometry, viewing Vionnet´s philosophy for designing, and examining the geometric cutting methods. The period covered in this paper will center mainly on dresses Vionnet made from her very active days in the fashion sector, 1919. till when she retired from the fashion industry, around 1939. What's outstanding about Vionnet´s geometric principle expressed in her works is the unique cutting method that acknowledges the silhouette of the human body as a cubic or three-dimensions concept, through insight of the human body, the mechanics of the materials, and geometry. Vionnet introduced a simple and elegant design by combining geometric figure cuts, such as rectan히es. quadrants, and triangles. Moreover, she created a new sewing structure that plans everything about the materials to the tiniest detail, resulting in producing a softer style With this, Vionnet showed the geometrical correlation can bring about harmony and the beauty of ideal proportion, forming the source of eternal beauty. As discussed so fu, the geometrical characteristics appearing in Vionnet´s works are marked such as spirals, zig-zag lines, asymmetries. panels, gradation, golden proportion, and the mobius-band.

가치관과 의복이미지 및 의복디자인 선호도에 관한 연구 (Clothing Image and Clothing design Preferences)

  • The purposes of this study were to 1) classify the contents of clothing image preferences, 2) find out the relationship among personal values, preferences for clothing image and clothing design, and 3) investigate the relationship between clothing image preferences and clothing design preferences, Questionnaire was comprised of three section. The clothing image preference measure was included 36 bipolar adjectives of 7-point scales. Clothing design preferences measure was included the items of patterns, colors, and textures. 'Survey of Personal Values' by Eung-Un Hwang and Kyung -hye Lee was used for measurement of 6 values : practical mindedness ; achievement ; variety ; decisiveness; orderliness; and goal orientation. Samples were 288 college women. The data were analyzed using pearson's correlation coefficient and factor analysis. The results of the study were the following. 1. Four segments of clothing image preferences derived by factor analysis : F. 1 'progressive-conservative' ; F.2. 'casual-formal'; F.3 'plain-splendid'; F.4 'masculine-feminine'. 2. In relation between personal values and clothing image preferences, 1) achievement was positively related to the preference of progressive image 2) variety was positively related to the preferences of progressive and masculine image, and 3) goal orientation was negatively related to the preferences of the progressive and masculine image, and positively related to plain image. 3. In relation between personal values and clothing design preferences, 1) practical mindedness was positively related to the preference of black, 2) achievement was positively related to the preferences of blue and such realistic pattern as floral, 3) variety was positively related to the preferences of geometric or abstract patterns and thick or transparent texture, and 4) orderliness was negatively related to the preferences of abstract pattern. 4. In relation between clothing image preferences and clothing design preferences, 1) progressive image was positively related to abstract pattern, red, blue, and black, 2) casual image was positively related to geometric pattern, green, blue, and negatively related to red and soft rexture, 3) plain image was negatively related to lustered and transparent texture, abstract pattern, red, and black, and 4) masculine image was negatively related to lustered, thin, soft, and transparent texture, floral and dotted patterns, red, orange, and yellow.

화순 운주사의 문화원형을 활용한 텍스타일 디자인개발 (The Development of Textile Design by Using Prototype of Hwasun Unjusa)

  • In Honam province, the cultural prototype are largely unknown to the people, also the research on this subject are scarce, the artistic excellence, somewhat under evaluated, both in our country and internationally. It is imperative that we develop the modern design using this prototype. thereby apply it to many areas of cultural products. We should extend the dimension not only to the local festival but also to the mass production resulting in the commercial gains. The Unjusa Buddha festival for promoting the public relation would be greatly benefited by using the concept of the temple, the local prototype, by which we expect to create a ingenious textile design pattern, coinciding with the main purpose of this study. The ancient material around Unjusa come to be the subject of our textile design by way of selecting the most remarkable ones of heritage among the materials of Unjusa. In the long run, the harmonious contrast of both traditional and modern image were sought in this study. Designed patterns were edited using Adobe Photoshop CS3, a multi-purpose graphic program and were simulated in the towel for visual presentation. The design is of two kinds, the one is of the free style using combinations of reclining Buddha, stone Buddha, stone pagoda, and geometric patterns freely not to be standardized. The other one is mixing of lotus pattern, reclining Buddha, and geometric patterns. These designs were applied delicately on the towel, necktie and handkerchief, and the various colors were suggested by the 6 color ways. The brilliance of our traditional cultural property should be noted by these designs and I hope that this study would be a help to develop our cultural prototype and make a product of using the outstanding heritage.

쇄기형 유전체의 양면에 평면파 입사시 다극전개를 이용한 회절패턴 계산 (Calculation of Diffraction Patterns for Incidence of Planewave on Both Sides of a Dielectric Wedge by Using Multipole Expansion)

  • 임의의 각을 가진 쇄기형 유전체의양 경계면을 E-편파된 평면화가 입사할 경우 발생하는 전자파의 회절패턴을 기하광학해와 모서리회절파의 합으로 표시하였다. 모서리 회절파의 회절계수는 물리광학근사로 구한 회절계수를 모서리 끝에 분포한 다극선전원으로 수정하여 구하였다. 쇄기각 $120^{circ}$, 입사각 $60^{circ}$ 인 유전체의 비전율을 2, 5, 10으로 변화시키고, 측정거리도 모서리 끝점으로 부터 5와 10파장인 경우에 대해 기하광학해와, 물리광학해, 다극선전원으로 교정한 수정해 순으로 각각의 회절패턴을 그림으로 나타내었다. 본 논문에서 구한 수정해는 모서리 끝점으로 부터 멀리 떨어진 곳에서만 유용한 점근해임을 알 수 있으나, 유전체 경계면에서 경계조건을 만족함을 보였다.

전통 회 문양과 포 셔닐 텍스타일을 활용한 패션 디자인 개발 (Development of fashion design applying traditional fretwork patterns and Faux Chenille textiles)

  • The purpose of this study is to apply the traditional Chinese fretwork on the 'Faux Chenille' textile work method in a way of enhancing the decorative features of patterns and developing the fashion design. As for the method, it works on the historic background and advancement of the fretwork and it refers to the bibliographies pertinent to the traditional Chinese geometric pattern. The result are as follows. First, pure cotton and 100% rayon are mixed to make it feasible to produce the texture for the material to be tender and enhanced, and in the process of washing and drying the Faux Chenille textile. The Faux Chenille textile is an important material that is required to select materials with great absorption capability as the most effective material to re-visualize the lines and patterns by sustaining the diagonal lines. Second, the fretwork is designed to process the basic formation for 90° angle with the sense of unlimited extensive line and changes with straight line. It has been confirmed that, if the angle that controls the Faux Chenille textile and the tailoring interval are well aligned, the expression of traditional geometric pattern would be effective and it may be expressed in contemporary style. Third, through the fashion design application by utilizing the Faux Chenille textile of the fretwork, it is confirmed that the contemporary application of the traditional culture could be expressed uniquely and creatively while it is affirmed that the western technique and Asian culture can be blended in harmony.

전자 스페클 패턴 간섭법을 이용한 형상 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Shape Measurement by Using Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry)

  • Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry(ESPI) has been used to measure surface deformations of engineering components and materials in industrial areas. ESPI, a non-contact and non-destructive technique, is capable of providing full-field results with high spatial resolution and high speed. One of the important application using electronic speckle pattern interferometry is electronic speckle contouring of a diffused object for 3-D shape analysis and topography measurement. Generally the electronic speckle contouring is suitable for providing measurement range from millimeters to several centimeters. In this study, we introduce the contouring method by modified dual-beam speckle pattern interferometer and the shift of the two illumination beams through optical fiber in order to obtain the contour fringe patterns. We also describe formation process of depth contour fringes and grid contour fringes by shifting direction of the two illumination beams. Before the experiments, we performed the geometric analysis for dual-beam-shifted ESPI contouring, and then, the electronic speckle contouring experiment with various specimens. For quantitative analysis of the contour fringes, we used 4-frame phase shifting method with PZT Finally, good agreement between the geometric analysis and experimetal results is obtained.

  • The main subject of this paper is analyzing the patterns of maximum oil film pressure and the minimum oil film thickness under various pre-conditions of geometric shape as functions of bearing groove and proceeding oil hole in the connecting rod bearing. As the major analytical tool, elastohydrodynamic lubrication analysis has been applied and two-intertwined results of maximum oil film pressure and minimum oil film thickness have been compared and analyzed using EXCITE program. From computed results, the optimal lubrication conditions as geometric shape of bearing groove and the proceeding oil hole have been investigated. This may be useful for the bearing designer as a firm reference.

  • Mathematically, a proof is to create a convincing argument through logical reasoning towards a given proposition or a given statement. Mathematics educators have been working diligently to create environments that will assist students to perform proofs. One of such environments is the use of dynamic-geometry-software in the classroom. This paper reports on a case study and intends to probe into students' own thinking, patterns they used in completing certain tasks, and the extent to which they have utilized technology. Their tasks were to explore the shape-to-shape, shape-to-part, and part-to-part interrelationships of geometric objects when dealing with certain geometric problem-solving situations utilizing dissection-motion-operation (DMO).

This optical method is capable of providing full-field results with high spatial resolution, high speed and is the non-contact technique. One of important application aspects using electronic speckle pattern interferometry is to generate contours of a diffuse object in order to provide data for 3-D shape analysis and topography measurement. The contouring method by modified dual-beam speckle pattern interferometry is proposed. We introduce a shift of the illumination beams through optical fiber in order to obtain the contour fringe patterns. The speckle pattern correlation technique is suitable for providing measurement range from millimeters to several centimeters. The complete geometric analysis of the contoretical and experimental results are obtained.
