Automatic obfuscation is known to be the most viable method for preventing reverse engineering intentional1y making code more difficult to understand for security purposes. In this paper, we study and implement an obfuscation method for protecting MS Visual C++ programs against attack on the intellectual property in software like reverse engineering attack. That is, the paper describes the implementation of a code obfuscator, a tool which converts a Visual C++ source program into an equivalent one that is much harder to understand. We have used ANTLR parser generator for handling Visual C++ sources, and implemented some obfuscating transformations such as 'Remove comments', 'Scramble identifiers', 'Split variables', 'Fold array', 'Insert class', 'Extend loop condition', 'Add redundant operands', and 'Insert dead code'. We have also evaluated the performance and effectiveness of the obfuscator in terms of potency, resilience, and cost. When the obfuscated source code has been compared with the original source code, it has enough effectiveness for software protection though it incurs some run-time overheads.

Cogeneration systems are seen as a significant innovation for dispersed energy generation since they are both environmentally friendly and has comparatively high degrees of efficiency. It is especially suited for the decentralized provision of electricity and heat. However, it causes operational problems such as voltage regulation, voltage variation, protection and safety. Especially, it is expected that the interconnection/disconnection operation of cogeneration system has an effect on distribution voltage regulation and variation. Recently, with the increased use of customer-owned computers and other sensitive electronic equipment, electric power quality has become an important concerns. Therefore, the voltage quality problems with cogeneration system should be investigated because the voltage quality is an important part of electrical power quality. In this paper, the momentary voltage dips associated with the interconnection/disconnection operation of cogeneration system are analyzed, including restraint solutions at the customer level. In addition, the unit capacity of cogeneration systems per feeder are evaluated from the view point of momentary voltage variations. The results of this paper are useful analysis data for interconnection standards/guidelines of cogeneration systems and dispersed generation (DG)

Cutback control in a grid code is one of the functions of a wind power plant (WPP) that is required to support the system protection and frequency stability. When a cutback control command signal is delivered to the WPP from the system operator, the output of a WPP should be decreased to 20% of the rated power within 5 s. In this paper, we propose a dedicated cutback control algorithm of a WPP based on the ratio of the command power to the available power. If a cutback control signal is delivered, the algorithm determines the pitch angle for the cutback control and starts the pitch angle control. The proposed algorithm keeps the rotor speed at the speed before the start of the cutback control to quickly recover the previous output prior to the cutback control. The performance of the algorithm was validated for a 100 MW aggregated WPP based on a permanent magnet synchronous generator under various wind conditions using an EMTP-RV simulator. The results clearly shows that the proposed algorithm not only successfully reduces the output to the command power within 5 s by minimizing the fluctuation of the pitch angle, but also rapidly recovers to the output level before the cutback control.

This study analyzed the Vulnerability of Network Communication devices when IEMI is coupled with the Network System. An Ultra Wide Band Generator (180 kV, 700 MHz) was used as the IEMI source. The EUTs are the Switch Hub and Workstation, which are used to configure the network system. The network system was monitored through the LAN system configuration, to confirm a malfunction of the network device. The results of the experiment indicate that a malfunction of the network occurs as the electric field increases. The data loss rate increases proportionally with increasing radiating time. In the case of the Switch Hub, the threshold electric field value was 10 kV/m for all conditions used in this experiment. The threshold point causing malfunction was influenced only by the electric field value. The correlation between the threshold point and pulse repetition rate was not found. However, in case of the Workstation, it was found that as the pulse repetition rate increases, the equipment responds weakly and the threshold value decreases. To verify the electrical coupling of the EUT by IEMI, current sensors were used to measure the PCB line inside the EUT and network line coupling current. As a result of the measurement, it can be inferred that when the coupling current due to IEMI exceeds the threshold value, it flows through the internal equipment line, causing a malfunction and subsequent failure. The results of this study can be applied to basic data for equipment protection, and effect analysis of intentional electromagnetic interference.

An aircraft power distribution device distributes and controls the power generated by the generator and provides overcurrent protection. There are many defect phenomena that make AC power distribution impossible during flight, which poses a problem in because some electronic equipment cannot be operated. We describe a process of deriving the root cause of defects by using vibration testing equipment to simulate the vibration conditions during aircraft flight, which result in defects. The results show that the cause of the defect is internal wiring damage caused by the vibration of the contactor of the AC power distribution device. Therefore, the shape of the contactor was improved to solve this problem. We also improved the test procedure by performing defect detection tests using vibration testing equipment to detect a faulty contactor. As a result of the improvements, a component certification test and flight test proved that the defect phenomena of the AC electrical master box were improved.
The number of facilities using radiation generators increases and related regulations are strengthened, the establishment of a shielding management and evaluation technology has become important. The characteristics of the radiation generator used in previous report differ from those of currently available high-frequency radiation generators. This study aimed to manufacture lead, iron, and concrete shielding materials for the re-verification of half-value layers, tenth-value layers, and attenuation curve. For a comparison of attenuation ratio, iron, lead, and concrete shields were manufactured in this study. The initial dose was measured without shielding materials, and doses measured under different types and thicknesses of shielding material were compared with the initial dose to calculate the transmission rate on 50-300 kVp X-ray. All the three shielding materials showed a tendency to require greater shielding thickness for higher energy. The attenuation graph showed an exponential shape as the thickness decreased and a straight line as the thickness increased. The difference between the measurement results and the previous study, except in extrapolated parts, may be due to the differences in the radiation generation characteristics between the generators used in the two studies. The attenuated graph measured in this study better reflects the characteristics of current radiation generators, which would be more effective for shield designing.

In this study, we have investigated the shielding evaluation methodology for facilities using kV energy generators. We have collected and analysis of safety evaluation criteria and methodology for overseas facilities using radiation generators. And we investigated the current status of shielding evaluation of domestic industrial radiation generators. According to the statistical data from the Radiation Safety Information System, as of 2022, a total of 7,679 organizations are using radiation generating devices. Among them, 6,299 facilities use these devices for industrial purposes, which accounts for a considerable portion of radiation. The organizations that use these devices evaluate whether the exposure dose for workers and frequent visitors is suitable as per the limit regulated by the Nuclear Safety Act. Moreover, during this process, the safety shields are evaluated at the facilities that use the radiation generating devices. However, the facilities that use radiating devices having energy less than or equal to 6 MV for industrial purposes are still mostly evaluated and analyzed according to the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements 49 (NCRP 49) report published in 1976. We have investigated the technical standards of safety management, including the maximum permissible dose and parameters assessment criteria for facilities using radiation generating devices, based on the NCRP 49 and the American National Standards Institute/Health Physics Society N.43.3 reports, which are the representative reports related to radiation shielding management cases overseas.

Fruit and vegetables are subjected to complex dynamic stresses in the transportation environment. During a long journey from the production area to markets, there is always some degree of vibration present. Vibration inputs are transmitted from the vehicle through the packaging to the fruit. Inside, these cause sustained bouncing of fruits against each other and container wall. These steady state vibration input may cause serious fruit injury, and this damage is particularly severe whenever the fruit inside the package is free to bounce, and is vibrated at its resonance frequency. The determination of the resonance frequencies of the fruit and vegetables may help the packaging designer to determine the proper packaging system providing adequate protection for the fruit, and to understand the complex interaction between the components of fruit when they relate to expected transportation vibration inputs. Instrumentation and technologies are described for determining the vibration response characteristics of the fruits with frequency range 3 to 150 Hz. The computer program for controlling the vibration exciter and the function generator and for measuring the vibration response characteristics of the fruits was developed. The resonance frequency of the pear ranged from 64.5 to 72.2 Hz and the amplitude at resonance was between 1.78 and 2.21 G-rms. The resonance frequency and amplitude at resonance decreased with the increase of the sample mass, and they were slightly affected by mechanical properties such as bioyield deformation and rupture deformation. Regression analysis was performed among the relatively high correlated parameters from the results of correlation coefficient analysis.
