To maximize effectiveness of standardization activities, it is essential to set priorities for determined standardization work items in the next generation internet protocol television (NG-IPTV) technologies. In this study, the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is employed and applied to ranking of NG-IPTV standardization work items as a multi-criteria decision making tool which involves comprehensive surveys. Survey results are analyzed and we identified a useful three level segmentation of standardization strategic plan which shows standardization work item priorities.

The sheet parts are formed with dies conventionally. But this conventional forming process is not suited to small volume and varied production for the reason of high cost. For the solution of this problem, a new forming process, which is called CNC incremental sheet forming, is being introduced. This process can form sheet parts without die, and is very well suited to small volume and varied production in space flight and automobile. In this paper, dieless CNC forming system based on a machining center is developed. A special device to grasp and pull the blank sheet built in the machining center and tool path generation S/W from STL file of 3-D model are developed. Several sheet parts are incrementally formed to verify the effectiveness of the developed system.

We simulated an electric upsetting process by the rigid-thermoviscoplastic finite element method. Several engineering assumptions were made to calculate the heat generation due to the electric resistance. The skin effect of the bar was taken into account for the heat generation. The approach was applied to simulate an artificial electric upsetting process for the exhaust valve of the ship engine.

Chemical mechanical planarization is one of the core processes in fabrication of semiconductors, which are increasingly used for information storage devices like solid state drives. For higher data capacity in storage devices, CMP process is required to show ultimate precision and accuracy. In this work, 2-dimensional finite element models were developed to investigate the effects of the slurry particle impact on microscratch generation and the phenomena generated at pad-particle-wafer contact interface. The results revealed that no plastic deformation and corresponding material removal could be generated by simple impact of slurry particles under real CMP conditions. From the results of finite element simulations, it could be concluded that the pad-particle mixture formed in CMP process would be one of major factors leading to microscratch generation.

This study is about the production and properties of waste concrete powder that recycling aggregate is crushed to the waste concrete. We researched the generation and the disposal of recycled concrete powder. It is chemica] and physical features that is compared and analysis according to its production system and repeated crushing of time. Recycled concrete powder is more generated wet process than drying process. In addition, the more it is repeated crushing of time, the more recycled concrete powder is generated. Recycled concrete powder is discovered that wet process is larger of the specific area, lower density and particle size.
Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) have attracted much attention due to clean, efficient and environmental-friendly generation of electricity for next-generation energy conversion devices. Recently, many studies have been reported on improving the performance of SOFC electrodes and electrolytes by applying atomic layer deposition (ALD) process, which has advantages of excellent film quality and conformality, and precise control of film thickness by utilizing its unique self-limiting surface reaction. ALD process with these advantages has been shown to provide functional ceramic interfaces for SOFC electrodes and electrolytes. In this article, recent examples of successful functionalization and stabilization on SOFC electrodes and electrolytes by the application of ALD process for realizing high performance SOFC cells are reported.
This study started from the concern for Bjrake Ingels, an emerging architect in the architecture circle, who is creative and popular. Recently, the architecture field provides architects with a foundation to express a process on a new form creation through various new expressive languages, design concepts, and methods. The global Danish group BIG(Bjarke Ingels Group) develops a story by their distinctive architectural language. The storytelling is being used in various fields and now the tool called 'story' is settling down as an important element in the life that human lives. Bjarke Ingels leading the group BIG aims for the form expression by the scientific analysis and adaptation after being affected by Danish regional background and OMA. It creates a form to share stories with local members by visually simplifying the region, culture, environment, social phenomenon, economy, and politics that are invisible and do not have the form in the modern society. The elements and expressive features of the space storytelling include locality, cultural, natural environment, and connectivity which are the content structure(story) that enables you to intervene in the story according to the main agent to imagine a new space. The expressive element includes the watching moving line story of the successive, hierarchical, and organic structures which are constructive elements creating various spaces through the mixture, transmutability, and relocation of the program and inducing users to the space. The space storytelling is composed of the symbolism, community, and eco-friendliness to appear diversely through BIG's case analysis. This study will have significance that it drew a method and feature looked at by many contemporary architects from the storytelling viewpoint in the form-creating process, classified the form-creating process through a new storytelling type, and showed a possibility on the development of various methodologies.
Since the 1960s, semiconductor packaging technology has developed into electrical joining techniques using lead frames or C4 bumps using tin-lead solder compositions based on traditional reflow processes. To meet the demands of a highly integrated semiconductor device, high reliability, high productivity, and an eco-friendly simplified process, packaging technology was required to use new materials and processes such as lead-free solder, epoxy-based non cleaning interconnection material, and laser based high-speed processes. For next generation semiconductor packaging, the study status of two epoxy-based interconnection materials such as fluxing and hybrid underfills along with a laser-assisted bonding process were introduced for fine pitch semiconductor applications. The fluxing underfill is a solvent-free and non-washing epoxy-based material, which combines the underfill role and fluxing function of the Surface Mounting Technology (SMT) process. The hybrid underfill is a mixture of the above fluxing underfill and lead-free solder powder. For low-heat-resistant substrate applications such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high productivity, laser-assisted bonding technology is introduced with two epoxy-based underfill materials. Fluxing and hybrid underfills as next-generation semiconductor packaging materials along with laser-assisted bonding as a new process are expected to play an active role in next-generation large displays and Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) markets.

Hypothesis is defined as a proposition intended as a possible explanation for an observed phenomenon. The purpose of this study was to generate a grounded theory on the process of undergraduate students' generating hypothesis-knowledge about scientific episodes. Three hypothesis-generating tasks were administered to four college students majored in science education. The present study showed that college students represented five types of intermediate knowledge in the process of hypothesis generation, such as question situation, hypothetical explicans, experienced situation, causal explicans, and final hypothetical knowledge. Furthermore, students used six types of thinking methods, such as searching knowledges, comparing a question situation and an experienced situation, borrowing explicans, combining explicans, selecting an explican, and confirming explicans. In addition, hypothesis-generating process involves inductive and deductive reasoning as well as abductive reasoning. This study also discusses the implications of these findings for teaching and evaluating in science education.

In this paper, we present EDF (Event Data Factory), an interactive tool designed to assist event log generation for process mining. EDF integrates various data connectors to improve its capability to assist users in connecting to diverse data sources. Our tool employs low-code/no-code technology, along with graph-based visualization, to help non-expert users understand process flow and enhance the user experience. By utilizing metadata information, EDF allows users to efficiently generate an event log containing case, activity, and timestamp attributes. Through log quality metrics, our tool enables users to assess the generated event log quality. We implement EDF under a cloud-based architecture and run a performance evaluation. Our case study and results demonstrate the usability and applicability of EDF. Finally, an observational study confirms that EDF is easy to use and beneficial, expanding small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) access to process mining applications.
