Various methods and torque generating devices are developed and employed to apply proper torque clinically. In this study, clinically used torque control devices are measured whether uniformed and precise torque are generated. Digital torque gauge are employed for measurement and torque driver, torque limiting device, torque indicating device are used for torque generating devices. ${\chi}^2$ distribution was formed and One-way ANOVA(Turkey test) was performed to measure torque values generated by each torque generating device. In the results, all companies have been shown slight errors and deviations. This indicates a difficulty of applying precise torque. Therefore, it would be recommended torque generating device should be checked whether uniformed and precise torque can be generated and an error should be corrected.

Recently, energy harvesting technology is increasing due to the fossil fuel shortages. Energy harvesting is generating electrical energy from wasted energies as sunlight, wind, waves, pressure, and vibration etc. Energy harvesting is one of the alternatives of fossil fuel. One of the energy harvesting technologies, the piezoelectric energy harvesting has been actively studied. Piezoelectric generating uses a positive piezoelectric effect which produces electrical energy when mechanical vibration is applied to the piezoelectric device. Piezoelectric energy harvesting has an advantage in that it is relatively not affected by weather, area and place. Also, stable and sustainable energy generation is possible. However, the output power is relatively low, so in this paper, newly designed honeycomb shaped piezoelectric energy harvesting device for increasing a generating efficiency. The output characteristics of the piezoelectric harvesting device were analyzed according to the change of parameters by using the finite element method analysis program. One model which has high output voltage was selected and a prototype of the honeycomb shaped piezoelectric harvesting device was fabricated. Experimental results from the fabricated device were compared to the analyzed results. After the AC-DC converting, the power of one honeycomb shaped piezoelectric energy harvesting device was measured 2.3[mW] at road resistance 5.1[$K{\Omega}$]. And output power was increased the number of harvesting device when piezoelectric energy harvesting device were connected in series and parallel.

Since the oil crisis, we have been concerned about the energy saving techniques of electric generating systems. As a part of the effort to save energy, automatic electric load sharing device was developed. Usually, ship's electric generating system consists of two or three sets of generator. And, electric generating system is operated as single or parallel operation mode according to the demanded electric power. Therefore, it is important to investigate generators operating mode for the supply of required electric power in the ship in order to decrease the operating cost. So, this paper suggests the method to solve the optimal electric load distribution problem by dynamic programming. And, this thesis indicates that the proposed method is superior to the lagrange multiplier's method in obtaining optimal load distribution solution in the ship's electric generating system.
This experimental study is carried out one of the General Hospital in Kyungbok providence. Abdomen Phantom being located Anterior-posterior(AP) position on portable bed, and the portable X-ray generating device was placed the phantom at $-90^{\circ}$ direction. The experiment were set 65 kVp, 10 mAs, $10{\times}10\;cm^2$, 100 cm(FOD) for the measurement. Digital proportional counting tube survey meter was used for measuring the space scatter dose. Measurement points of horizontal distribution was set up at $30^{\circ}$ interval by increasing 50 cm radius of upside, downside, left and right. Vertical distribution of measurement points were set up for the vertical plane with a radius of at $30^{\circ}$ intervals with 50cm increments. It is concluded that longer distance from the soure of X-ray significantly decrease radiation dose to the patient and use of the radiation protection device should be applied in clinical practice to reduce dose to the patient.
In the maskless photolithography based on the Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) by Texas Instruments Inc. (TI), the micromirror array works as a virtual photomask to write patterns directly onto Flat Panel Display (FPD) at high speed with low cost. However, it is neither simple to generate region-based patterns for the micromirror array nor easy to deliver sequences of patterns for the micromirror controller. Moreover, the quality of lithography yields the precise synchronization between generating sequence of patterns and irradiation rate off micromirrors. In this study, the region-based pattern generating system for maskless photolithography is devised. To verify salient features of devised functionalities, the prototype system is implemented and the system is evaluated with actual DMD based photolithography. The results show that proposed pattern generating method is proper and reliable. Moreover, the devised region-based pattern generating system is robust and precise enough to handle any possible user specified mandate and to achieve the quality of photolithography required by FPD manufacturer.

The received signal of a mobile phone is normally sensed through two independent means which are the sound generation of a speaker and vibration generation of a vibration motor. As an improvement scheme to meet the consumer's demand on weight reduction and miniaturization of a mobile phone, the design and development of an integrated vibration and sound generating device are performed in this research. To this purpose, the optimal shapes of the voice coil. the permanent magnet and the vibration plate are designed, and the excitation force applied to the vibration system of the new device is estimated and verified through theoretical analyses, computer simulation, and experiments using an expanded model. In addition, vibration performance comparison of the device with the existing vibration motor is performed, and from the overall process, therefore, the method and procedure for the vibration performance analysis of the integrated vibration and sound generating device are established.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of mouthrinses prepared by sterilized water-generating $device(Purister^{(R)})$ on the control of gingivitis and incipient periodontitis when it was used as a adjunctives to the mechanical plaque control. 40 healthy patients with gingivitis or incipient periodontitis were divided into two groups. Patients in the experimental group use mouthrinses prepared by sterilized water-generating $device(Purister^{(R)})$ after tooth brushing while patients in the control group do only tooth brushing for plaque control. All patients received scaling and tooth brushing instruction. 1 week after scaling was set as baseline. Probing pocket depth, clinical attachment level, and bleeding on probing were scored at baseline, 4 weeks. Gingival index and plaque index were scored at baseline, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks. The results were as follows: 1. In the experimental group, gingival index, plaque index, probing pocket depth, and clinical attachment level showed statistically significant decrease, but in the control group, significant increase(p<0.05). 2. There was no significant difference between the experimental and the control group in bleeding on probing, but significant decrease in the experimental group and Significant increase in the control group In a time-dependent manner(p <0.05). From these results, it can be concluded that regular use of mouthrinses prepared by sterilized water-generating $device(Purister^{(R)})$ as adjunctives of mechanical plaque control, may be effective to prevent and treat gingivitis and incipient periodontitis.

In this study we propose noise energy harvesting for green infrastructure development. In this regard, infrastructures such as railroad, subway, and road are taken into consideration as sources of noise which provides energy through certain wave forms. As the need of recycling noise energy became reasonable due to the increase of infrastructure usage, the capacity and property of our noise energy generating device, which uses electromagnetic induction for electricity generation, are analysed in this paper. Consequently, the outcomes of this experiment show the fact that maximum electricity is generated from the device at a specific point of noise frequency, and the relation between air pressure caused by noise and the electricity generated by the device is in a specific proportional form either linear or non-linear. The major points of developing noise energy generating device in order to apply it into social infrastructure are discussed in this paper as well.

Liquid-based Triboelectric nanogenerator (L-TENG) is one of the alternatives to solid-based Triboelectric nanogenerator (S-TENG) because of the absence of surface damage which can decrease the durability of the generator. However, the L-TENG also has an obvious drawback of significantly lower output than that of S-TENG. This article produces water-sloshing-based electricity generating device (W-ED) with a new design of L-TENG that improves electrical output in portable form. The dual-electrode system, consisting of closed-loop circuit and inner electrode which enables water to contact directly in the bottle, can generate the open-circuit voltage and the short-circuit current of up to 348 V and 5.1 mA, respectively. By investigating the motion of water for each frequency, we propose that W-ED is suitable device for a variety of human motions. We expect that W-ED can be applied in small electrical devices or sensors in daily-use items.

Generating output characteristics of a EYE-type piezoelectric generator depending on ceramic size and materials of the elastic body were studied. EYE-type piezoelectric-generating device consist of the ceramic was attached between the both elastic body. piezoelectric-generating is that if the tension occurred at both ends of an elastic body, the piezoelectric effect occurs at ceramics through the form change of the elastic body. The structure of this EYE-type generator use various area. than a existing type generator, because the ceramic position of the directly force at does not apply. Resonance and output characteristics of the generator were analyzed by using FEM program. Generators were fabricated on the basis of analyzed results and attached on a frequency controllable vibrator to measure output characteristics. Also, the experimental results were compared with the simulated results. As a result, output characteristics of the generator increased depending on the increase in ceramic thickness. In case of increase in ceramic width, resonance frequency of the generator also decreased.
