The data were collected from November 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 26.0 statistical program. The results of this study show that social support (family, friends, medical staff) and health literacy (functional, communication, critical) were positively correlated with treatment adherence. This study aims at looking into the use of oriental medical services in treating disease and patient's attitude of oriental medicine by social classes. The first to be explored through this study is medical accessibility, classifying them by age, gender and job. Second is to examine kinds of oriental medical services and expenses incurred in treating the disease. Third is to compare satisfaction for the services offered and investigate into relations between disease and oriental medicine through cross-analysis by class, and provide fundamental materials for enhancing accessibility to oriental medical centers for treating chronic diseases. The 1,376 households for the period of time from Apr. to Jun. 2005, were asked to answer to the questionnaires offered. The conclusion from the survey can be summarized as follows. Medical services for the onset of disease were less offered to females, older group, low schooling, and low-income bracket. It is attributable to an economic cause, in both genders. The in- and outpatients' rate were found higher in groups of female, older age, low-income and blue-color workers. Use of oriental medical centers were higher in outpatients than inpatients probably for low-income brackets were less frequently put on regular physical checkups, more exposing to diseases. Each hospitalization was found over six days longer in average; 19.7 days for oriental medical hospitals, 12.5 for hospitals. The hospital charges that patients should pay for one hospitalization showed 909,000 won in oriental medical hospitals, much higher than 518,000 won in hospitals. Outpatients were also found to pay more for oriental medical services; 55,000 won for oriental medical hospitals, 19,000 for hospitals. As to outpatients' satisfaction, oriental medical hospitals were generally found to be a little more satisfactory than general hospitals; 11.2% of respondents answered Very Satisfactory. Satisfaction to services offered to outpatients showed 82.2% of respondents responded to Over Satisfactory for herb clinics, 76% for general hospitals. For future intention to use oriental medical services, females, over 51 years old, lower education and income, and blue color workers showed more intention to use them. To be more competitive in treating chronic diseases, it is necessary that oriental medical services become more accessible through extending its coverage of insurance into more medical herbs and their prepared packs, as well as mapping out extensive publicity strategies to make known to the public about high efficacy of medical herbs and their safety.

Female marriage immigrants have increased since the mid-1990s in Korea. Thus, their adaptation to Korean society has been a big social issue in Korea. There are a lot of academic researches on their adaptation to Korean society so far. We cannot sufficiently understand general main factors of their adaptation to Korean society because of methodological problems in the studies on the female marriage immigrants. Particularly, there are very few studies on female marriage immigrants' adaptation to their communities. This study analyzes determinants of female marriage immigrants' adaptation to their communities, using stepwise multi-regression. Data are collected from questionary survey on female marriage immigrants in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, Daegu, Gyeong-buk, Gwangju, Jeon-nam. Dependent variables are community life, spatial cognition and activities, and neighborhood relationship. Each dependent variable is analyzed with 30 independent variables through stepwise multi-regression. As a result, 16 positive determinants and 2 negative ones are selected. Positive determinants are resident identity, age, adaptation to home, number of Korean friends and same nationals' friends in Korea and so on. But, Korean language fluence is not selected as a significant factor. This is different from a general recognition. As exiting researches, the importance of social network and adaptation variables is also identified in this study.

The purpose of the present study was to develop a Korean version of the scale of attitudes for disabled Persons and attitudes towards disabled person-original by translating and modifying the scale proposed by Antonak(1982). In order to test validation, this study was focused on processing survey and statistic data analysis and tried to find a way to applicate in Korea. The data were collected from 500 non-disabled persons divided into two groups, which were consist of target group (public officials, health care providers, teachers, journalists and rehabilitation facility staffs) and general group. Based on the descriptive analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of the data, validity and reliability were examined. Also to find the statistic significant difference on attitudes towards disabled person between target group and general group, t-test was proceed. The result of the exploratory factor analysis drew 15 items representing 3 factors (Pessimism-Stereotype, Optimism-Human Rights, Derogatory Personality Stereotype). A confirmatory factor analysis results provided the construct validity of this scale as good and reasonable fitness. Cronbach's alpha ranged from .67 to .85 showed internal consistencies of the sub-scales. The subscales were significantly correlated with convergent with DFS(Disability Factor Scale) variables. And the target group had more positive attitudes toward disabled person than general group. It is suggested this scale more suitable for various disability types be elaborated, and get a practical implication on attitudes towards disabled person.

The main purpose of the present study is to survey the major abstracting bulletins of national nature in Korea, to define such problem areas as lacunae, duplicates and limitation in coverage in the abstracting services currently available in Korea, and to make some suggestions for action for improving the abstracting services in the light of general principles and the tradition and situations unique to Korea. The major conclusions reached at this study are summarised as follows: (A) A new abstracting bulletin of general nature covering the whole field needs to be created in each of the following fields where no established abstracting service is available for the outcome of research and development activities in Korea. (1) Language (2) Religion (3) Art (4) Language (5) Literature (6) History (B) A new specialised abstracting bulletin needs to be created in each of the following fields of science where abstracting services limited in coverage are partially available. (a) Statistics (b) Sociology (c) political science (d) Public administration (e) Law (f) Folk lore (g) Military science (2) Pure sciences (a) Mathematics (b) Chemistry (c) Astronomy (d) Geology (e) Mineralogy (f) Life sciences (g) Botany (h) Zoology (3) Applied sciences (a) Agriculture (b) Architectural engineering (c) Mechanical engineering (d) Electrical engineering (e) Chemical engineering (f) Manufacturing industry (g) Domestic science (C) Publication of the abstracting bulletins suggested in (A) and (B) above may be ideally carried on by a qualified learned society established in the respective field. and should be financially supported by the public fund under the provisions of Art. 27 of the Research Promotion Act of 1979. (D) The current practice of adding the author's abstract and keywords to each of the records of the "Doctoral Theses in Humanities and Social Sciences" part of the" Catalogue of Doctoral and Master's Theses Submitted to the Universities in Korea" published by the National Assembly Library should be applied to all the other parts, i. e. to the parts of the "Master's Theses in Humanities and Social Sciences" and of the "Doctoral and Master's Theses in Natural Sciences': which will not only increase the Catalogue's use value but also discourage appearance of various theses abstracts of individual academic institutions such as the" Abstracts of the Doctoral and Master's Theses Submitted to Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology" which will in turn reduce inefficiency involved in the abstracting services at national level. (E) A general abstracting bulletin covering most part of the outcome of research and development activities in Korea other than that covered by the existing abstracts needs to be created to be temporarily. used till the abstracting journals suggested in this study will be fully available. A realistic way of having such a bulletin may be to expand the present coverage of "The Abstracts of the Reports of the Government-sponsored Projects" currently published by Korean Research Foundation.
