A Study on Gender Difference in Antecedents of Trust and Continuance Intention to Purchase Voice Speakers

  • This study aims at understanding gender difference in trust and the related factors affecting the intention to purchase voice speakers VS. VS are one of the innovations that are emerging at a fast pace in the market. Although it seems to be widely embraced by both genders, people do not intend to use them in some cases due to a lack of trust and the rumors circling these types of technologies. Nevertheless, there are particular barriers to the acceptance of VS technology between females and males due to unfamiliarity with the effective components of such technologies. Therefore, assuming that increasing the knowledge-based familiarity with an effective technique is essential for accepting it. So far, only little is known about VS and its concepts to increase the familiarity and, as a consequence, the acceptance of effective technology. Technology adoption in gender has been studied for many years, and there are many general models in the literature describing it. However, having more customized models for emerging technologies upon their features seems necessary. This study is based on Theory of Reasoned Action and trust-based acceptance which provides a background for understanding the relationships between beliefs, attitude, intentions, and subject norms and how it's affecting gender trust in VS. The statistical analysis results indicate that perceived system quality and perceived interaction quality have stronger influences on trust for males, while privacy concern and emotional trust have stronger influences on trust for females with the intention of purchase for both genders. Our study can be beneficial for future research in the areas of Perceived risk and Perceived utility and behavioral intention to use and human-technology interaction and psychology.

고등학생의 성별·계열과 메타인지 및 과학적 태도의 관계 (The Relationship among High School Students' Gender, Academic Track, Metacognition and Scientific Attitude)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 성별과 계열에 따른 고등학생들의 메타인지와 과학적 태도를 분석하기 위한 것이다. 또한 메타인지와 과학적 태도의 하위 요소들간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 분석 자료는 고등학생 220명을 대상으로 한 검사지이다. 성별에 따른 메타인지 분석 결과 남학생이 여학생보다 점수가 높게 나타났다. 그러나 t-검증 결과 두 집단간 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 계열에 따른 메타인지 분석에서는 이과 계열 학생들의 점수가 문과 계열 학생들보다 높았고, 두 집단간 차이는 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 과학적 태도에 대한 분석 결과 남학생이 여학생보다 상대적으로 조금 높게 나타났지만 두 집단간 유의미한 차이는 없었다. 반면에 계열에 따른 과학적 태도 분석에서는 이과 계열 학생들이 문과 계열 학생들보다 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 메타인지와 과학적 태도 하위 요소들간의 상관 관계 분석 결과 각 요소들간에는 높은 상관관계가 나타났다. 다중회귀분석 결과에서는 모니터, 조절, 비판성, 개방성이 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과는 고등학생들의 메타인지를 촉진하고 과학적 태도를 함양하기 위한 교수-학습 전략을 수립하는 데 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다. 또한 과학 학습 등 다양한 요인들과의 관계를 분석하는 후속 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있다.

안양시내 초등학교 6학년 남.여학생의 식행동과 식품기호도 비교 (A Study of gender difference on Dietary behavior and Food Preferences of the 6th grade Elementary School Children in Anyang city)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate of gender difference on dietary behavior and food preferences of elementary school children. This survey was carried out through questionnaire method for 274 male and 257 female of the 6th grade elementary school children in Anyang city. By calculating WLI(weight-length index), 26.9% of students were overweight, and 26.2% were under-weight. Average height of male was 147.9cm and that of female was 148.9cm, and their weight was 40.9 kg and 39.2kg respectively. The average BMI(body mass index) was 18.1 kg/㎡. The self-recognition of health status was different according to gender, male recognized better health status than female. There was no significant difference of parents´ education level and the occupation depending on gender. The 56.7% of students had regularly for breakfast, and 60% for lunch and 42.9% for dinner. The female students had irregular meal time more frequently than male did for dinner(p<0.01). They skipped more breakfast(7.0%) than other meals. Reasons of skipping meal were lack of time to eat(50%), boring side-dishes(17.0%) etc. For snacks, choice depends on taste (55.4%), and they bought at the shop nearby (36.5%) and convenience shop(29.9%). They had a meal outside once a month(42.9%), and selected Korean traditional food(52.5%). For almost all of foods male students´ preference showed higher than female except cucumber. Low score of preference was obtained in such as salted vegetables, soy pastes, and fish(shellfish) groups raw or fermented. The preference level was a little higher in such as vegetables & kimchi group and pot stews. The results assert the importance of nutrition education for the students in puberty. It is necessary breakfast should be taken regularly, and therefore we should carry out the education of importance of nutrition and health for children considering the dietary behavior and food preference for balanced diet.

퇴원후 뇌졸중환자의 사회적 지지망 특성과 성별에 따른 차이 (Social Support Network and Gender Difference in Post-hospitalized Stroke Patients)

  • Social support was found to have buffering effects on the stress response of stroke patients. Especially, the aspects of social support found to be most influential were support from a close, personal source, and overall satisfaction with support. The purpose of this study was to identify the current social network and its characteristics according to gender difference in post-hospitalized stroke patients in Korea. The sample consisted of a convenience sample of 254 patients was recruited 129 men and 125 women who were receiving follow-up care at outpatients clinics. Four aspects of social support-source, quantity, qualify & type- were measured using the modified Social Support Inventory for Stroke Survivors(SSISS) which was developed by McColl & Friedland(1989). Regarding sources of social support, 61.4% reported for 'spouse' as primary caregiver and 31.9%, 'children'. But the distribution of sources of personal support were related to gender; 82.2% of male patients had support from their spouses, while only 40% of female patients reported from 'spouse' but 51.4% from 'children'. Among the children, daughters and sons were more significant support persons than daughters-in-law. The percentages for sources of these significant other support persons were 55.5% for 'children', 8.7% for 'spouse', and 8.3% for 'brothers'. The physician at the outpatient department was the main source of professional support. For the quantify and qualify of social support, the primary caregiver's support was more significant than support by significant other persons. Male patients reported that primary the caregiver' support was greater than that of significant other persons, while female patients perceived significant other persons as giving greater support. Regarding the type of perceived social support, the stroke patients were highly satisfied with the primary caregiver's support in aspects of instrumental, emotional, and informational support. They also reported high satisfaction with support from significant others' support in the aspect of emotional support, while emotional and informational support from professionals was reported as satisfactory. In conclusion, gender difference in the social support network was found in that male patients perceived more support from their spouses, while female patients perceived more support from their children as compared to their spouses.

내적역량과 외적역량이 성인의 식품 쓰레기 처분에 대한 실천역량에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Internal and External Capacity on Adults' Food Waste Disposal Capacity)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of internal and external capacity on the practical capacity for food waste disposal in adults. Methods: The study subjects were 410 adults who answered a structured questionnaire. The survey was conducted in January 2021. Data were analyzed through descriprive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS Win 24.0. Results: First, in the analysis of internal capacity, attitude (3.95 out of 5 points) scored higher than knowledge (3.59 points). Attitudes showed significant differences according to gender (P < 0.001), age (P < 0.001), and income (P < 0.001). Knowledge showed significant differences according to gender (P < 0.01) and age (P < 0.05). Second, in the analysis of capacity, market constraints (3.73 points) scored the highest, followed by institutional conditions (3.48 points) and reference group (3.36 points). Market constraints differed according to gender (P < 0.001), and institutional conditions differed according to income (P < 0.001). There was a significant difference in the reference group according to the level of education (P < 0.05) and income (P < 0.05). Third, the practical capacity scores appeared in the order of separating discharge behavior, using behavior, purchasing behavior, and leadership behavior. Separating discharge behavior showed significant differences according to gender (P < 0.001), education level (P < 0.05), and income (P < 0.01). Using behavior showed a difference according to gender (P < 0.01), and purchasing behavior showed a significant difference according to income (P < 0.05). Leadership behavior showed no difference according to demographic factors. Fourth, internal capacity and external capacity showed a significant positive relationship with practical capacity. Factors affecting purchasing behavior were knowledge, attitude, institutional conditions, and reference group, and their explanatory power was 53%. Factors influencing using behavior were knowledge, attitude, institutional conditions, and reference group, and had an explanatory power of 37%. Leadership behavior was influenced by institutional conditions and the reference group, with an explanatory power of 31%. Conclusions: Internal capacity, external capacity, and practical capacity show differences according to demographic factors. Factors influencing the practical capacity of adults were knowledge, attitude, institutional conditions, and reference group.

한국 노인의 성별 일상생활활동 장애율 (Gender Difference in the Prevalence of Disabilities in Activities of Daily Living among the Korean Elderly)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 지역사회에 거주하는 한국의 65세 이상 노인들의 일상생활활동 장애율 및 이와 관련된 요인이 남자 노인과 여자 노인 사이에 차이가 있는지를 밝히는 것이었다. 분석 자료는 2005년에 실시한 <국민건강영양조사>이었고, 일상생활활동 장애를 측정하는 도구로는 원장원(2002)이 개발한 한국형 일상생활활동 측정도구(K-ADL)를 사용하였다. 일상생활활동 장애율의 성별 차이는 χ2검정 분석을 하였고, 일상생활활동 장애와 관련된 독립변수들을 통제한 상태에서의 성별 차이가 존재하는지를 알아보기 위해 로지스틱 회귀분석을 하였다. 이변량 분석 결과 노인 전체와 전기 노인에서는 여자가 남자보다 일상생활활동 장애가 많았으나 후기 노인에서는 차이가 없었다. 연령 및 기타 장애와 관련된 요인들을 통제한 상태에서 노인 전체, 전기 노인, 후기 노인을 대상으로 한 전반적인 일상생활활동 장애율의 성별 차이를 분석한 결과 성별 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 일상생활활동 각각의 장애율에 대하여 동일한 분석을 한 결과 목욕하기와 대소변 조절을 제외한 나머지 활동들에서 남자가 여자보다 장애가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 성별보다는 만성질환 등의 일상생활활동의 장애와 관련된 다른 요인들에 더욱 주목할 필요성을 말해준다. 또한 남자의 일상생활활동 장애율이 여자보다 높은 것이 돌봄의 성역할 차이에서 비롯된 것인지에 대한 추후연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

노년기 인지기능과 우울증상의 상호 관계에 관한 연구: 성별 차이를 중심으로 (The Reciprocal Relationship between Cognitive Functioning and Depressive Symptom : Group Comparison by Gender)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 1) 노년기 인지기능과 우울증상의 양방적 상호관계를 분석하고, 2) 이 관계에서 성별차이를 검증하는 것이다. 이는 대부분의 기존연구가 인지기능과 우울증상의 일방적 관계를 가정한 것과 달리 상호영향력을 동시에 고려하고, 나아가 노년기 정신건강에서 성별에 따른 유의한 함의를 찾기 위함이다. 분석 자료는 우리나라의 중고령자를 대표하는 한국고령자패널 자료를 활용하였고, 분석 방법은 비재귀구조방정식모델(non-recursive structural equation modeling)과 다집단분석(multi-group analysis)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노년기 인지기능 저하가 우울증상을 악화시키고, 우울증상의 악화가 인지기능을 저하시키는 양방적 상호관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 인지기능과 우울증상의 관계에서 성별 차이가 명확히 나타났다. 여성노인에서는 우울증상에 대한 인지기능의 영향만 유의하였고, 남성노인에서는 인지기능에 대한 우울증상의 영향만 유의하였다. 이는 노년기 인지기능과 우울증상을 이해하고 관리함에 있어 상호영향력과 성별 차이를 고려한 접근이 필요함을 시사하는 결과이다. 이상의 결과가 노년기 정신건강에 대해 갖는 이론적 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

성인초기 남녀의 성차별 메타-인식에 대한 잠재프로파일 분석과 유형별 성역할갈등, 이성과의 거리감, 성차별 논쟁에 대한 지지도 차이 (Latent Profile Analysis of Meta-Awareness of Gender Discrimination Among Korean Young Adults: Group Differences in Gender Role Conflict, Sense of Distance from the Opposite Sex, and Support for Gender Discrimination Issues)

  • 본 연구는 성별 간 갈등이 가장 극심하게 나타나는 성인초기 남녀의 성차별 메타-인식 양상을 탐색하기 위해 '여성의 남성을 향한 양가성에 대한 인식'과 '남성의 양가적 성차별에 대한 인식', '한국 사회의 성차별 실태'에 대한 지각을 측정하여 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시하고, 각 유형에 따른 성역할갈등, 이성과의 거리감, 성차별 논쟁에 대한 지지도의 차이를 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 만 18세 이상 39세 이하 남녀 330명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고, SPSS 20.0과 Mplus 7.4 프로그램을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 여성은 '성차별 둔감형 여성', '성차별 민감형 여성', '성차별 저항형 여성' 총 3가지 유형, 남성은 '성평등 인식형 남성', '역차별 인식형 남성' 총 2가지 유형이 도출되었다. 여성들은 성차별 메타-인식이 높은 유형일수록 성차별에 대한 지각과 성차별 논쟁에 대한 지지도가 높아진 반면, 남성들은 성차별 메타-인식이 높은 유형일수록 역차별에 대한 지각이 높아졌다. 남녀 모두 성차별 메타-인식 수준이 높은 유형일수록 더 높은 성역할갈등과 이성과의 거리감을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 현 한국 사회의 성별 갈등 현상에 대한 시사점과 본 연구의 제한점, 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

베이커리 카페 고객의 이용 실태 및 성별, 연령에 따른 차이 조사 : 서울 지역을 중심으로 (Differences in Bakery Cafe Use according to Gender & Age : Focused on Customers in Seoul)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine bakery cafe use and to identify differences according to gender and age. The questionnaires developed for this study were distributed to 320 males and females aged 20 and over in Seoul. A total of 285 questionnaires were used for analysis(89.1%) and the statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (12.0) for descriptive analysis and $x^2-test$. Over 80% of customers used bakery cafes once a month or less, and female customers visited more often than males. The main reasons for using bakery cafe were to chat and then, to buy and eat bakery products. There was a significant difference by age. Average time consumed at a bakery cafe was usually under 1 hour and 30 minutes. Female and younger customers stayed longer than male and older customers, respectively. The majority of customers(85.6%) were accompanied by 2 or less guests and there was no significant difference between the groups. The expenses per person per visit were usually $3,000won{\sim}10,000won$, and the percentage of customers who spent at least 15,000 won was highest in those aged 41 and more. The groups with different gender and age also differed in their choices of products. Customers who are female or under 41 years old used coffees or beverages more often than other group customers. There was no significant difference in understanding on bakery cafe between groups, and 64.9% of respondent answered that they understood bakery cafe as a complex of bakery and cafe. Overall, for early settlement and development of the bakery cafe industry, it seems very important to establish marketing strategy that meets target customers' needs on the basis of understanding their patterns of bakery cafe use.

친환경 행동 및 태도가 의복 재활용 행동에 미치는 영향 - 영국, 중국, 한국을 중심으로 - (The effect of eco-friendly behaviors and attitudes on behaviors of clothing recycling - Focused on UK, China, Korea -)

  • This study was executed to deduce the factors affecting eco-friendly behaviors and attitudes, to analyse the difference of eco-friendly behaviors and attitudes between countries, and to draw the variables affecting clothing recycling behavior. The sample comprised people from the UK, China, South Korea. The results were as follows. The four factors related to eco-friendly behaviors and the five factors related to eco-friendly attitudes were derived from the results of factor analysis. In the case of eco-friendly behaviors, four eco-friendly behavior factors showed a significant difference all according to gender and country. In the case of eco-friendly attitudes, saving of natural resources for eco-friendly life, recycling for eco-friendly life, and individual preference for eco-friendly life showed a significant according to gender, also recycling for eco-friendly life, individual preference for eco-friendly life, social awareness for eco-friendly life, and company's awareness for eco-friendly life showed a significant difference according to country. All of the variables related to clothing recycling behaviors showed the significant difference according to gender and countries. It was verified that the stronger the behaviors or attitudes for waste recycling and environmental protection, individual preference for eco-friendly life, saving of natural resources, buying eco-friendly products, and separate collection for recycling, the more positive the action to clothing recycling. The results of this study will be helpful to establish a marketing strategy for each country and to deduce a plan to attract clothing recycling form people.
