기혼여성간호사의 성차별의식, 직장-가정 갈등과 지원 및 이직의도와의 관계 (The relationship of Gender Discrimination Consciousness, Work-Family Conflict and Facilitation and Turnover Intention of Married Female Hospital Nurses.)

  • 본 연구는 기혼여성간호사의 성차별의식, 직장-가정 갈등과 지원 및 이직의도와의 관계를 확인하고자 시도되었다. S시 병원에 근무하는 기혼여성간호사 101명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 대상자인 기혼여성간호사의 성차별의식은 모두 높은 수준으로, 온정적 성차별의식이 적대적 성차별의식보다 높았다. 직장-가정 갈등은 40세 미만, 자녀 1명, 근무경력이 5년 이상 10년 미만 일 때가 높았다. 이직의도는 40세 미만(t=3.66, p<.001), 자녀가 없는 경우(F=5.76, p=.004), 일반간호사와 책임간호사(F=5.86, p=.004)가 유의하게 높았다. 적대적 성차별의식은 가정-직장 방향 갈등과 지원과 상관관계가 있었다. 이직의도는 직장-가정 방향 갈등과 가정-직장 방향 갈등 모두 양(+)의 상관관계를 보였다. 본 연구 결과로 기혼여성간호사들의 성차별의식, 직장-가정 갈등과 지원의 정도와 이직의도를 이해할 수 있으며, 직장-가정 양립을 위한 전략을 개발하기 위한 반복연구가 필요하다.

한국청소년의 성평등의식 실태와 일반적 가치와의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Survey of Korean Youths' Gender Equality consciousness and Its Relationship with General Value)

  • 이 연구는 자라나는 미래세대인 청소년들의 성평등의식 실태를 살펴보고 청소년들의 성평등 의식 수준을 높이기 위한 방안을 모색하고자 하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 연구내용은 첫째, 전국 대표성 있는 표본에 대한 설문조사 결과를 토대로 한국사회 청소년들의 성평등의식 실태를 파악한다. 둘째, 청소년들의 일반적 가치 실태를 조사하여 청소년들의 성평등 의식 제고를 위한 단서를 도출하고자 한다. 이 연구의 분석 자료는 2006년 한국보건사회연구원의 "청소년가치관조사" 자료이며, 조사대상자는 전국 132개 학교에서 추출된 학생 11,240명이다. 분석 결과, 2006년 청소년들은 과거 청소년에 비해서 전반적으로 성평등의식 수준이 높아졌으며, 특히 '가정내 공평한 가사분담'에 대한 청소년들의 지지 정도는 과거에 비해 크게 높아졌다. 그러나 청소년 가치관 조사 결과 우려되는 부분은 성평등 의식 등 일반적인 태도 항목에서 남녀간 성별지체 현상이 매우 뚜렷하다는 점이다. 여학생의 성평등 의식이 남학생보다 훨씬 높을 뿐만 아니라, 차별감수성이 뛰어나다고 알려진 '보편주의 가치관', '자기 성취 가치관'도 여학생이 남학생 보다 높다. 이에 비해 남학생은 차별적 태도와 연결되는 '권력 가치'적 성향이 뚜렷하다. 따라서 학교교육을 비롯한 다양한 매체의 교육내용에 의식의 다양한 수준에서의 성별격차를 완화하는 내용이 중점적으로 다뤄져야 할 것이라는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.

한의사 직종에 대한 한의대생의 인식 연구 - 성별에 따른 차이를 중심으로 (A Study on Korean Medicine College Students' Perception of Korean Medicine Doctors: Focus on Gender Differences)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to investigate gender differences in the Korean Medical Community. Methods: Participants in the research study included 90 students regularly attending the fourth grade in Korean Medicine College, of which 48 were male and 42 were female. Results: 1. Patient's preferences for female KMD (Korean Medicine Doctor) had the lowest response rate in Korean Medical Society. Preferences for male KMD were due to factors including comfort level, rationality, good training, and patient's preference. 2. Patient's preferences for female KMD had the highest response rate in Gynecology, and Pediatrics. On the other hand, patient's preferences for female KMD had the lowest response rate in the other 7 specialty subjects. 3. The reasons for gender discrimination against male KMD were lack of subtlety, lack of empathy, authoritative attitude, and lack of patient management skills. The reasons for gender discrimination, against female KMD were childcare burden, social prejudices, lack of physical strength, and housekeeping burdens. Conclusions: The study results indicated that there was a lower preference for female KMD than male KMD among the Korean Medical Society and in patients' consciousness. Male-centered culture of Korean Medical Society had no role in this finding, but masculine image for KMD jobs and work-family double burden for female KMD were important contributing factors.

한국 대학생의 성역할정체감과 성차별의식 및 군대에 대한 태도에 관한 연구 (A Research on Gender-role Identity, Gender Discriminative Consciousness and Attitudes toward Military Service of Korean College Students)

  • 본 연구는 317명의 대학생을 군필과 미필, 여성 세 집단으로 분류하여 군복무 경험과 군사 이데올로기가 한국 대학생들의 군대에 대한 태도와 성역할정체감, 그리고 성차별의식에 미치는 영향을 검토하여 군대와 성차별 문제를 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 군복무 경험은 성역할정체감이나 성차별의식을 강화하는데 보편적인 영향을 미치지 않았지만 남성성이 강한 남성에게 군복무 경험은 남성성과 온정적 성차별의식을 강화하는 중요한 요인으로 작용하였다. 둘째, 미필보다는 군필과 여성 집단이 군대에 대한 태도가 긍정적이었다. 셋째, 군복무 경험의 유무와 성차에 관계없이 군대에 대한 태도가 긍정적인 사람이 여성에 대한 온정적 성차별의식이 높았다. 넷째, 세 집단 모두 적대적 성차별주의와 온정적 성차별주의 사이에 뚜렷한 정적 상관을 보였지만 집단 간 상관에 유의한 차는 보이지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 우리 사회의 뿌리 깊은 성차별의식은 군복무 경험을 통해 강화되기도 하지만 군대에 대한 이데올로기와도 관련 되어 있다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다.

아프리카계 미국 작가 - 강요된 이민자 의식/ 파편적 토박이 의식 (Afro-American Writer: Forced Immigrant/Fragmentary Native Consciousness)

  • Even though Paule Marshall and Ishmael Reed have differences of gender, generation, and literary techniques, they share common points in dealing with cultural conflicts and racial discrimination in the United States as Afro-American Writers. As black minority writers, Marshall and Reed write out of a perspective of forced immigrant/fragmentary native consciousness. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the protagonist's reaction to racial prejudice, different cultures and their attempts to reconcile and to coexist with other races and their culture in these writers' representative works. Marshall's uniqueness as a contemporary black female artist stems from her ability to write from the three levels, that is, African American and Caribbean black. So, Marshall's Brown Girl, Brownstones represents an attempt to identify, analyze, and resolve the conflict between cultural loss/displacement and cultural domination/hegemony. Reed's Japanes by Spring offers a blistering attack upon the various cultural and racial factions of the academy and the bankrupt value systems in America. Reed's depiction of Jack London College's existing racial problems-later compounded by the cultural dilemmas that accompany the Japanese occupation of the institution-reveals his interest in highlighting the ways in which any monoculturalist ideology ultimately results in racist and culturally exclusive policies. Marshall's and Reed's novels provide opportunities for reader to explore various manifestations of intercultual and interethnic dynamics. They present the possibility of reconciliation and coexistence between different race and ethnic cultures through asserting a cultural hybridity and multiculturalism.

중학생의 남녀평등의식수준 (Gender-Egalitarianism in Middle School Students)

  • Purpose : In an attempt to analyse gender-egalitarianism related to the general characteristics, sexual consciousness and behavior in middle school students, this study was carried out. This study will provide data that can be used to develop sexuality education programs on the basis of gender-egalitarianism. Method : The subjects were 141 students (70 boys and 71 girls) in 4 classes that were randomly selected from among 8 classes of first graders in a coeducational middle school, in Seoul. For the evaluation of gender-egalitarianism, a Gender Egalitarianism Scale modified by the researcher was used. Results : Major findings were as follows: 1. Gender-egalitarianism was significantly higher in girls compared with boys. All of the boys and girls, had high gender-egalitarianism in the aspect of woman's ability in groups without sexual discrimination, but low gender-egalitarianism in woman's sexual conversation and style of dress. 2. Gender-egalitarianism in boys who had experienced intersexual physical contact, categorized as holding hands, embracing, kissing, and petting, was significantly higher when compared with inexperienced boys. 3. Gender-egalitarianism significantly increased as the father's education level increased as well as the father's open-mindedness. Factors influencing gender-egalitarianism was social acceptance, the mass media, the attitudes of the school teachers, and the attitudes of older and younger student in school. Conclusions : Based on these results, boys' gender-egalitarianism was lower than that of girls. Systematic education on gender-egalitarianism, combined with sexuality education, is necessary for middle school students, especially boys. In the long term, social acceptable the, mass media, school and home life should be changed for the achievement of the equality of the sexes.

여성인력의 직무태도 변화 (An Empirical Study on the Job Attitude Changes of Women Employees)

  • As the living standards have been enhanced thanks to rapid to rapid economic growth following industrial progress, today the advancement of woman into specialized jobs keep expanding not only for economic purpose such as increasing family income but also due to changed perception on woman's role, i.e. self-realization. In the actual situations, however, women are generally placed in a inferior position compared with men in most jobs, despite existence of gender equality policy. Therefore, concern and study on female adaptation into job and their work attitude have become increasingly important, which can contribute to alleviating women's discontent in the work but to raising efficiency of job execution and improving work quality. In this treatise, I researched the job attitude of woman for the period of 1980 up to 2005, with interval of every 5 years. For empirical analysis, research has been done towards females teachers in elementary and middle schools as well as female works in financial institutions. Both job fields have comparatively high percentage of female employees and have less sexual discrimination. The purpose of this vertical research is (1) to find out how women workers perceive their job environment, (2) to analyze empirically the change in female job attitude and their flow of consciousness. Ultimately this treatise aimed at contributing to efficient management of female work force in our society.

성별에 따른 대학 내 성희롱에 관한 실태 및 인지도 분석 (Actual Condition and Sensitivity Analysis of Sexual Harassment in Campus by Gender)

  • The purpose of this study is to prevent and review counter-action for the sexual harassment in campus by revealing current state of sexual harassment in campus relatively weak in sexual discrimination with regard to sexual harassment emerged as social problem serious in our nation. The targets of study were students and assistants in three schools located at $Kwangju\cdot{Chonnam}$ area, a questionnaire made by pre-researcher was applied to student vs. assistant with regard to sexual consciousness and recognition, and current state of sexual harassment, with analysis of material processed through statistical analysis using SPSSWIN 10.0 for verification of $$\chi$^2$ for identification of difference vs. family and student vs. assistant. The result of this research with regard to sexual harassment is under following: Firstly, the recognition of concept of sexual harassment was proved to be aware of be more than half a responders above average, lack of recognition showed significant number requiring establishment of concept of sexual harassment, the responders stated that they could do it alone should be treated in the counseling room in school. Secondly, 28.7% of students and assistants answered that they have suffered from sexual harassment now and. before, even a great number of males have experienced such sexual harassment. In case of female assistants, more than half of them suffered from sexual harassment suggesting us significant level of sexual harassment to female assistants. A depth of sexual harassment to assistants should be investigated in a further way by preparing for and establishing concrete preventive actions and researches, mostly suffered by males; In this respect, a preventive training of sexual harassment should be deemed to be provided to males. Thirdly, as a result of investigation of sex education and preventive action against sexual harassment in college, most of elementary, junior, junior high school hardly provide no or inefficient sexual harassment, and they responded that the campus needs its education. As a way to educate campus with sexual harassment efficiently, a special lecture or regular class might be designed for systematic education or sexual harassment through schools counseling room might be effective emphasizing upon role of the room according to opinions of responders. The college is required to install such offices or centers as can exclusively manage and take charge of sex education program operation, legal system of anti-sexual harassment, or personnel arrangement for such activities in school by reflecting such result into school for appropriate and efficient education of or counseling to sex.

  • 경판30장본<춘향전>과 연극<성춘향>을 기존의 관습적 분석과 텍스트를 벗어나 새로운 시각으로 비교 분석하여 서사구조, 연극공연에서 나타난 춘향의 행동, 태도, 사랑에 나타난 성향 등을 비교 분석하여 경판30 장본<춘향전>의 춘향과 연극<성춘향>의 춘향의 시대적 변화에 따른 인물 변모와 정서를 비교함으로써 고전소설이 가지고 있는 인물에 현시대의 정서를 가진 인물을 부합함으로써, 같은 텍스트와 같은 배경이지만 현재성이 다른 인물이 등장함으로써 현대 시대의 부조리함, 여성차별, 등을 풍자함으로써 메시지를 직설적으로 관객에게 전달하고 있다. 또한, 서사적 사건 비교 분석 결과에 나타난 경판30장본<춘향전>에서 정절을 지키며 변 사또의 횡포에 저항하는 열녀 춘향이라는 관습적인 주제 관념에서 벗어나 평범한 서민의 삶 속에서 남녀차별, 신분갈등, 부조리한 사회라는 상황 속에서도 자신의 신념을 갖고 지키는 춘향을 연극이라는 특수성을 결부시켜 '페미니시트적 자의식과 신념을 지키는 춘향'이라는 새로운 주제의식으로 재해석할 수 있다.
