  • This paper describes the general process of making augmented reality game for real objects without markers. In this paper, point cloud data created by using slam technology is edited using a separate editing tool to optimize performance in mobile environment. Also, in the game execution stage, a lot of load is generated due to the extraction of feature points and the matching of descriptors. In order to reduce this, optical flow is used to track the matched feature points in the previous input image.

  • One of drawbacks of the current edutainment game system is that its frame is fixed with limited contents. Under the condition of the above game structures, nobody can select one's interesting contents to increase educational efficiency easily. To overcome such a problem, we will propose the system named UCG(User Combinative Game) based on Web 2.0 in which users can make a choice among various educational contents and select game frames. The structure of the UCG system and its process are shown in this paper.

  • Online game market accounts for 56.4% of entire game industry in Korea. MMORPG games account for a great part of online game market which have 45.27%. However, most of them are wholly reliant on their subjective criteria - not general rule or standard in the planning and developing process. For this reason, they can be easily misunderstood imitation game which has no difference or creativeness from masterpiece. In this paper to solve this problem especially deals with the quantification of flow through analysis of MMORPG to propose common information or method of quantitative analysis. The method of quantitative analysis which deals with the quantification of flow through analysis of successful MMORPG verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • To strengthen the competitiveness of the game industry, one needs to develope a tool for evaluation of the satisfaction level of the game users, which leads to the improvement of the quality of games and increment of the amount of game trade. In this study, we developed factors to measure the satisfaction level and estimate their distributional properties. For the purpose, using a survey data for RPG games, we discussed several aspects for normalization of score distribution for satisfaction factors and estimated their density function by use of parametric density estimation of SAS/INSIGHT. We believe that the proposed results help us to predict or estimate the satisfaction level of newly developed games as well as the current popular games.

  • In this paper, we present an efficient method for simulating massively virtual clients in an online game environment. Massively multi-player online games and other multi-user based networked applications are becoming more attractive to the gamer players. Such kind of technology has long been researched in the area called Networked Virtual Environments. In the game development process, a set of beta tests is used to ensure the stability of online game servers. A set of testing processes consumesa lot of development resources such as cost, time, and etc. The purpose of VENUS system is to provide an automated beta test environment to the game developers to efficiently test the online games to reduce development resources.

  • Screen-based games often go to many places to install. In this case, there may be a change in the sensor or a difficulty in installation due to a difference in space configuration. Also, it is meaningful to experience the same thing as a real game, but there are cases where it is necessary to control the degree of difficulty to make it feel more fun. In this paper In the process of developing a screen archery game, which is a sensible game similar to screen golf, we will introduce a technique that facilitates installation according to changes in space. And we will explain how to control game difficulty automatically according to user's skill. And we will show you the results of the experiment.

  • This study examined the role of enjoyment in the relationship between perceived auditory feedback (PAF), which provides information about the situation during game play, and user experience factors. 100 undergraduates played a mobile game, 'Classy Royale' and took a survey about their user experience. As a result of analyzing the available data from 98 participants, PROCESS MACRO showed that PAF was positively associated with enjoyment, immersion, and intention to use; enjoyment mediated the effects of PAF on immersion and intention. These results can help game research and development regarding the functional value of audio factors.
