  • The way to check whether the urban regeneration project is going in the right direction is fundamental for understanding the satisfaction of local residents relevant to the project. This study aims to analyze the satisfaction of residents by selecting factors that affect the satisfaction of Namhae-gun residents with urban regeneration projects. Through this, after examining whether the project is being implemented well in accordance with the purpose of the urban regeneration new deal project, this study presents the direction of the Namhae-gun urban regeneration new deal project. In result, in the case of the resident group, satisfaction with security and landscape influenced satisfaction with the entire project. In addition, publicity for urban regeneration projects had the greatest impact on satisfaction, and other neighborhood reliability, urban regeneration-related education, and meetings had the greatest impact on satisfaction with the project. In the case of the merchant group, it was found that the satisfaction with the entire project increased when the satisfaction with the public relations. However, it was found that physical factors, that is, factors for improving the living environment, did not affect satisfaction with urban regeneration projects. The findings of this study, as local parts of Namhae-gun urban regeneration project progresses, can be further expanded to the holistic county level.

  • Zoological Parks house exclusive animal species, thus creating a source of education and awareness for visitors. Big cats like tigers and leopards are among the most visited species in zoos globally. However, they often display stressful or stereotypic behaviours. Such behaviours are influenced by multiple factors including visitors, animal history, and captive environment. To understand this impact, we investigated the behavioural response of tigers and leopards to visitation, captive, and biological factors. The behaviour of eight big cats housed in the National Zoological Park, New Delhi, was monitored using focal sampling technique during May and June 2019. We recorded the captive and biological factors and visitor density for the subjects. The study revealed high proportions of inactive and stereotypic behaviours amongst the species. Tigers and leopards were found to perform stereotypic behaviours for 22% and 28% of their time, respectively. Generalised Linear Models revealed a significant variation of stereotypy in association with the factors. Stereotypy was influenced by visitor density, age, sex, breeding history, coat colour, and enclosure design. Adults, males, white-coated, previously bred, and those housed in smaller and simple enclosures display more stereotypy than young, females, normal-coated, unbred, and those housed in larger and complex enclosures, respectively. A high density of visitors induced more stereotypic behaviours amongst the big cats. As providing entertainment and awareness amongst the public is one of the fundamental objectives of the zoo, visitors can not be avoided. Thus, we suggest providing appropriate enrichments that would reduce stereotypies and promote naturalistic behaviours.

  • This study examines the relationship between safety factors and health management systems based on accident statistics in the construction industry stipulated in the Serious Disaster Punishment Act. To determine the level of safety achieved by companies through their health management system, the top 1000 construction firms in the country were surveyed online. Four hundred sixty companies responded to the survey by providing their statistics on major accidents (mortality, accidental mortality, and injury rates). Statistical tests showed that companies with a team dedicated to the oversight of safety and health management had fewer accidents than those without one. Factor and regression analyses revealed that three factors affected the mortality and accident rates: safety and health plan, safety and health professionals, and safety and health activities. Moreover, two factors significantly influenced the injury rate: safety management supported by a cooperative company and implementation of on-site safety and health activities. The findings of this study can be used as a fundamental reference for further research and consultation on the formulation of safety and health management systems for construction companies.

  • This study investigated recent seasonal changes in the phytoplankton community in the southern coast of Korea, analyzing monthly samples collected at four stations (St.1-4) in Jinhae Bay from 2017 to 2022. Environmental factors except nutrients were similar each station. Water temperature ranged from 6.0 to 29.0℃ and DO ranged from 2.7 to 11.6 mg L-1 with salinity ranging from 25.9 to 33.8 psu. There was no significant differences in environmental factors between stations except for nutrients. Phytoplankton cell concentrations ranged from 5.0×103 cells L-1 to 7×105 cells L-1, with patterns similar to chlorophyll-a at each site. Phytoplankton taxa identified here were 42 genera and 77 species, including 49 diatoms, 27 dinoflagellates, and one Dictyochophyceae species. Diatoms dominated throughout all monitoring stations and seasons; however, dinoflagellates exhibited sporadic patterns during spring seasons. Nine harmful phytoplankton were identified, including one diatome Psuedo-nitzschia and eight dinoflagellate Alexandrium spp., Akashiwo sanguinea, Margalefidinium polykrikoides, Dinophysis spp., Gymnodinium spp., Pheopolykrikos hartmannii, Polykrikos kofoidii and Prorocentrum spp. The appearance pattern of the harmful phytoplankton showed a high correlation with seasonal factors. This study provides fundamental data on the composition of phytoplankton and their relationship with environmental factors in Jinhae Bay. In addition, they may be useful for understanding long-term changes in harmful phytoplankton in the southern coasts of Korea.

  • Added value of music industry in Korea is not distributed and calculated properly, and this obstacle brings various problems in a creative environment. Meanwhile, a new business model such as Open Collaboration, Crowdsourcing and platform that makes decisions and innovation from external resources has been appeared in commercial area. This new model like a composer delivers to consumers directly through Youtube.com, and multi collaboration is applied to the music industry, and it enables a new type of mechanism for creation, distribution, division, and calculation of music. However there are not enough empirical study of the music market because existing relative researches has been centered around fundamental concepts and application methodologies. This research defines Open Collaboration Platform in the music industry, and studies affecting factors of Participation Intention for example Justice, Information System Quality and Perceived Value. For a survey we apply PLS(Partial Least Square) to analyse Equity, Information System Quality and structural equation between Perceived Value and Participation Intention. Analysis results show Distributive Justice and Procedural Justice affects Platform Trust, and Service Quality, Economical Value and Emotional Value affects Platform Usefulness. Also Platform Trust and Platform Usefulness affects Platform Participation Intention. We discussed academic and practical implication based on research results.
