단백질 상호작용 네트워크를 통한 유전체 단위반복변이와 트랜스유전자 발현과의 연관성 분석 (Genome-Wide Association Study between Copy Number Variation and Trans-Gene Expression by Protein-Protein Interaction-Network)

  • 인간 유전체에 존재하는 유전적 구조 변이(genetic structural variation) 중 하나인 유전체 단위반복변이(Copy Number Variation, CNV)은 유전자의 기능 발현과 밀접한 관련이 있다. 특히 특정 유전 질병이 있는 사람들을 대상으로 CNV와 유전자발현의 관계를 밝히는 연구가 계속 진행되고 있지만, 정상인 유전체에 대한 CNV의 기능적 분석은 아직 활발히 이루어지고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 정상인 샘플에서 찾아낸 공통된 CNV에 대하여 유전자들과의 기능적 관계를 유전자의 분자적 위치와 상관없이 밝힐 수 있는 분석 방법을 제시한다. 이를 위해 서로 다른 이질적인 생물학데이터를 통합하는 방법을 제시하고 공통된 CNV와 유전자와의 연관성을 분자적 위치와 상관없이 계산할 수 있는 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 방법의 유의성을 보이기 위해서 유전자 온톨로지 (Gene Ontology) 데이터베이스를 이용한 다양한 검증 실험들을 수행하였다. 실험결과 새롭게 제안된 연관성 측정방법은 유의성이 있으며 공통된 CNV와 강한 연관성을 갖는 유전적 기능의 후보들을 시스템적으로 제시할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

방향물질을 함유한 마이크로캡슐 제조 (The Production of Microcapsules containing Fragrant material)

  • The microcapsules containing fragrant material as functional compound were produced by in-situ polymerization. The prepolymer was made from urea-formaldehyde(UF) and melamine-formaldehyde(MF) as wall materials of microcapsules. The effects of wall material, dispersing agent and ratio of wall material to core material on the mean diameter variation were investigated. Thermal efficiency and release behavior of microcapsules were measured. The resultant UF and MF microcapsules are capable of preserving fragrant oil for long self-life.

  • In this paper, we deal with the null controllability of semilinear functional integrodifferential control systems under the Lipschitz continuity of nonlinear terms. Moreover, we establish the regularity and a variation of constant formula for solutions of the given control systems in Hilbert spaces.

  • In this paper we introduce a new formulation of symmetric homogeneous bivariate means that depends on the variation of a given continuous strictly increasing function on (0, ${\infty}$). It turns out that this class of means includes a lot of known bivariate means among them the arithmetic mean, the harmonic mean, the geometric mean, the logarithmic mean as well as the first and second Seiffert means. Using this new formulation we introduce a lot of new bivariate means and derive some mean-inequalities.

Seasonal Variability of Seaweed Biomass along the Vertical Shore Gradients of Nachido and Odo Islands, the Yellow Sea, Korea

  • Seasonal variation in seaweed biomass was examined along vertical shore gradients on the rocky shores of Nachido and Odo Islands, the Yellow Sea, Korea, from August 2007 to April 2008. The average annual biomass of seaweed was 404.07 g wet wt/$m^2$, with seasonal variation from 232.61 g in the spring to 754.90 g wet wt/$m^2$ in the summer at Nachido Island. At Odo Island, average biomass was 270.82 g wet wt/$m^2$ and ranged from 48.35 g in the winter to 451.66 g wet wt/$m^2$ in the spring. Seaweed biomass exhibited an even distribution across the shore gradient from the high intertidal zone to -5 m depth at Nachido Island, whereas seaweed biomass was concentrated from the mid intertidal zone to -1 m depth in the subtidal zone at Odo Island. Sargassum thunbergii was the most dominant species, occupying 28.24% (114.12 g wet wt/$m^2$) and 36.57% (99.05 g wet wt/$m^2$) of total biomass at Nachido and Odo Islands, respectively. Subdominant seaweed species was Gelidium amansii, comprising 15.23% (61.52 g wet wt/$m^2$) and 14.70% (39.82 g wet wt/$m^2$) of total biomass at Nachido and Odo Islands, respectively. Dominant functional group was the coarsely branched-form group, which grows under moderate environmental conditions and comprised 93.34% (377.15 g wet wt/$m^2$) and 66.96% (181.35-g wet wt/$m^2$) of total biomass at Nachido and Odo Islands, respectively. Percentage biomass of sheet-form seaweeds growing at relatively disturbed and polluted areas was approximately 20.83% (56.40 g wet wt/$m^2$) of total biomass along the Odo rocky shore. Based on the biomass and functional-form composition of seaweeds, we concluded that Nachido Island provides better environmental conditions than does Odo Island. In addition, the vertical distribution and dominant species of seaweeds on the two islands were very similar, but the functional-form composition of seaweeds at Nachido Island differed slightly from that at Odo Island.

국내 브로콜리(Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) 유전자원 내 Glucosinolate 함량 변이 (Variation of Glucosinolate Contents among Domestic Broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) Accessions)

  • 본 연구는 UPLC를 이용하여 국내 브로콜리 육성계통 95점의 화구 내 desulfo-glucosinolate를 표준물질과 비교하여 정량 분석하고 그 함량변이를 평가하여, 궁극적으로 고기능성 국내 브로콜리 품종 육성의 기초자료로 이용하고자 수행되었다. 브로콜리 화구에서 9종의 표준물질과 비교하여 progoitrin, glucoraphanin, sinigrin, gluconapin, glucobrassicanapin 및 glucobrassicin 등 6종의 glucosinolate가 동정되었다. 전체 브로콜리 육성계통 95점에 대해서 총 glucosinolate 함량은 $4.2-29.0{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}$ DW의 변이를 보였다. 총 glucosinolate 중 glucoraphanin의 함량은 $1.6-13.9{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}$ DW로 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였고 progoitrin은 제한적인 13개의 계통에서만 특이적으로 함유되어 있었으며 glucoraphanin의 함량과는 부의 상관관계를 보였다. 동정된 glucosinolate 중 glucobrassicanapin, glucoraphanin, glucobrassicin 및 gluconapin의 4종 물질이 전체 브로콜리 계통의 함량변이에 크게 영향하였고 이들 4종 물질 상호 간에는 높은 정의 상관관계가 있음이 확인되었다. 본 연구결과에서 선발된 브로콜리 유망계통에 대해서는, 향후 재배 작형 및 연차간 물질함량의 안정성 평가와 유전자원 간 추가적인 비교평가 연구를 통하여 고기능성 육종소재로의 개발이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

건강기능식품 중 잔류용매 분석법 개발 및 모니터링 (Analytical Method Development and Monitoring of Residual Solvents in Dietary Supplements)

  • Residual solvents in foods are defined as organic volatile chemicals used or produced in manufacturing of extracts or additives, or functional foods. The solvents are not completely eliminated by practical manufacturing techniques and they also may become contaminated by solvents from packing, transportation or storage in warehouses. Because residual solvents have no nutritional value but may be hazardous to human health, there is a need to remove them from the final products or reduce their amounts to below acceptable levels. The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate an analytical method for the screening of residual solvents in health functional foods. Furthermore, the aim of this study was to constitute a reasonable management system based on the current state of the market and case studies of foreign countries. Eleven volatile solvents such as MeOH, EtOH, trichloroethylene and hexane were separated depending on their column properties, temp. and time using Gas Chromatography (GC). After determining the GC conditions, a sample preparation method using HSS (Head Space Sampling) was developed. From the results, a method for analyzing residual solvents in health functional foods was developed considering matrix effect and interference from the sample obtained from the solution of solvents-free health functional foods spiked with 11 standards solutions. Validation test using the developed GC/HSS/MS (Mass Spectrometry) method was followed by tests for precision, accuracy, recovery, linearity and adequate sensitivity. Finally, examination of 104 samples grouped in suits was performed by the developed HSS/GC/MS for screening the solvents. The 11 solvents were isolated from health functional foods based on vapor pressure difference, and followed by separation within 15 minutes in a single run. The limt of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), recovery and coefficient of variation (C.V.) of these compounds determined by the HSS/GC/MS were found to be 0.1 pg/mL, 0.1-125 pg/g, 51.0-104.6%, and less than 15%, respectively. Using the developed HSS/GC/MS method, residual solvent from 16 out of 104 health functional products were detected as a EtOH. This method therefore seems t o be a valuable extension ofanalytical method for the identification of residual solvents in health functional food.

보습상태에서 피부각질의 구조 모델링에 관한 연구 (A study of structure modeling of the stratum corneum on the hydration)

  • 본 연구는 보습상태에서 피부의 각질층에 변화상태를 구조적으로 모델링한다. 피부구조에 따라 진행되는 형태는 세포사이와 세포횡단의 조건으로 조절 할 수 있도록 하였고, 구조적인 모델링으로 시스템의 변화상태를 확인하였다. 보습조건에서 크기 형태 조합의 모형을 구성하고, 결과적으로 보습상태의 피부 임피던스는 각층에 따라 피부에 측정 임피던스가 ${\xi}-R-SC-RH$, ${\xi}-R-SL-RH$, ${\xi}-R-SG-RH$, ${\xi}-R-SS-RH$${\xi}-R-SB-RH$ 로 다른 형태로 나타났다. 보습조건에서 S-Corneum, S-Lucidum, S-Granulosum, S-Spinosum 과 S-Basale의 변화의 차가 있고, 변환을 제어하는 전달시스템을 구성과 변환모델을 세분화하여 구축하였다. 이를 통하여 보습상태에서 피부의 기능적 효능조절이 가능한 보습조절시스템이 구성되어 지속적인 피부의 개선효과가 진행 될 것으로 예상된다. 투과 조절시스템이 구성되어 지속적인 피부의 개선효과가 진행 될 것으로 예상된다.

Comparison of Glucosinolate Contents in Leaves and Roots of Radish (Raphanus spp.)

  • Glucosinolates (GSLs), beneficial secondary metabolites for human health are abundantly present in radish vegetable. Radish is a member of Brassicaceae family and its seed, leaf and root contain very important GSLs. The objective of this study was to determine the variation of individual and total GSL contents in leaves and roots of 44 radish (Raphanus spp.) germplasm (26 R. sativus L., 3 R. raphanistrum, and 15 R. sativus L. var. raphanistroides Makino), and compare the GSL contents between leaves and roots among three Raphanus species. Thirteen GSLs were identified, being the glucoraphasatin (GRS) and glucobrassicin (GBS) the most abundant aliphatic and indolyl GSLs in both the leaves and roots. Variation in individual and total GSL contents was found among the germplasm of three Raphanus species. The GRS content was higher in roots than that of leaves in all three Raphanus species but the GBS content was higher in leaves than roots. GRS was represented 87.0%, 92.7% and 94.7% of the total GSL in roots of R. sativus L., R. raphanistrum and R. sativus L. var. raphanistroides (Makino) germplasm, respectively. Germplasm of R. raphanistrum exhibited the highest (average, $79.5{\mu}mol/g\;dw$) total GSL with a ranged from 62.7 to $92.9{\mu}mol/g\;dw$. The germplasm IT119288, Joseonmu and IT119262 from R. sativus L., RA 504 and K046542 from R. raphanistrum, and Gyeongju-2003-32 (G2003-32) and IT302373 from R. sativus L. var. raphanistroides (Makino) had high total GSL contents and these could be good candidates for developing the functional compounds-rich varieties in radish breeding program.
