고층건물 화재시 인명구조 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Rescue of the Human Life against the Fire in the High-rise Building)

  • It was because mankind could use the fire that we have been civilized. creating a brilliant culture and developing an industrial society. While fire is very useful to our life, the number of the victims of fire continues to increase, This study suggests the ways to rescue the people safely when they are subject to a fire in a high-rise building. To this end, the concept of fire is reviewed. Fire breaks out when the conditions for congestion are met, and therefore. if any of the conditions can be blocked, the fire will be extinguished. In other words. the knowledge of such conditions will greatly help the fire fighters to rescue the people, and so. such conditions for congestion as flammable, heat, oxygen and chain reaction are examined. In addition, the effects of such by-products of fire as heat and smoke on human body are reviewed. In order to rescue the people more safely, the fire fighters are requested to review the situation and design a rescue strategy before being engaged in a full-scale rescue activity. This study discusses various rescue methods using such passages or equipments as stair case, double ladder, special fire fighting vehicle, elevator, jumar, rope, helicopter, etc. In conclusion. since it is more difficult to rescue the people from a high-rise building than from the ground, it is essential to design a rescue program not after fire but before it and thereby, minimize the number of victims.

Increasing Flight Endurance of MAVs using Multiple Quantum Well Solar Cells

  • Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs) are useful devices to assess new features that may be utilized in a full size aircraft to enhance performance or to increase endurance. In this article, sources for energy saving in the micro air vehicles are initially addressed. Then, by specifying the important parameters on energy consumption of an aircraft, a feasibility study is conducted to assess the benefit of using solar cells to increase flight endurance. Next, a new solar cell has been designed and optimized for MAVs. This cell consists of a multiple quantum wells for which the quantum factor and the absorption coefficient are calculated by solving the Shrodinger equation using MATLAB software. Then, the manner and influence of MAVs parameters using the solar cells are examined to suggest optimal planform for different purposes. In order to increase flight endurance, it is noted that by using appropriate planform and the optimized solar cells, flight endurance can be increased by more than 30 percent.

수소충전소의 연료 계량 방법에 따른 계량 오차가 발생하는 원인 고찰 (The Study to Find Causes for Measuring Differences of Hydrogen Fillings in Hydrogen Refueling Station)

  • There has been an measuring errors between state of charge (SOC; kg) value and mass flow meter (MFM) value in dispenser for hydrogen refueling station. Finally, we observed average 15.5% weight difference between these two values and the MFM readings show a 15.5% higher readout of the SOC readings. Each car was charged with average 2.66 kg of hydrogen fuel during this period. In the initial charging of the day shows less measuring value than the final charging with the maximum 0.038 kg times number of filling. There is no effects of atmosphere temperature change for the hydrogen filled weight during one full year such as January's cold winters and August's hot summers.

  • 기존의 헤드업 디스플레이는 작은 허상 크기로 인하여 운전자가 영상 정보를 쉽게 인식할 수 없는 어려움을 가지고 있기 때문에, 본 연구에서는 수평 방향으로 영상을 넓히는 다중 화면 구조와 컴바이너 렌즈를 사용하여 영상 확대와 다채널 윈도우 구조의 헤드업 디스플레이를 연구하였다. 0.47inch 크기의 LCD를 사용하여 투과와 반사 기능의 허상 영상을 사람의 눈에서 3m 위치에 구현하는 기술을 연구하여 근거리와 원거리의 물체에 대한 운전자의 인지 시간을 짧게 하였다. 허상 영상의 콘텐츠로는 스마트 폰을 이용하여 다양한 내비게이션 정보 등을 디스플레이 할 수 있도록 하여 안전과 정보를 동시에 제공할 수 있도록 하였다.

고속철도차량 감속기 결함진단을 위한 진동 파라미터 분석 (Analysis of Vibration Parameters for the Fault Diagnosis of Reduction Unit for High-speed Train)

  • The reduction unit is one of the most important components in railway cars, due to the transmission of torque from the motor to the wheels. Faulty reduction gears in high-speed trains result from excessive wear on the gear or damage to the gear. These types of gear defects have a significant effect on high-speed rail operation and safety; thus, a diagnosis system for the reduction unit is needed. Vibration diagnosis technology is one of the most effective diagnostics. In this paper, the vibration parameters of a reduction unit were evaluated during a driving-gear test and a full-vehicle test, using kurtosis and the crest factor. These tests were performed under normal operating conditions; a specimen tester was used to diagnose problems in defective gears.

  • In this study, structural vibration analyses of a smart unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) have been conducted considering dynamic loads generated by rotating rotor and wakes. The present UAV (TR-S5-03) finite element model is constructed as a full three-dimensional configuration with different fuel conditions and tilting angles for helicopter, transition and airplane flight modes. Practical computational procedure for modal transient response analysis (MTRA) is established using general purpose finite element method (FEM) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technique. The dynamic loads generated by rotating blades in the transient and forward flight conditions are calculated by unsteady CFD technique with sliding mesh concept. As the results of present study, transient structural displacements and accelerations are presented in detail. In addition, vibration characteristics of structural parts and installed equipments are investigated for different fuel conditions and tilting angles.

  • Generally, A Dynamic Absorber by using Active viscous Damping is highlighted for effective suspension system, such as improved ride comfort and handling in the market. Lately, this system based on the Sky-Hook damper theory is introduced by the name of "Active Dynamic Absorber" to us. This system has an excellent performance in contrast to Passive. Adaptive Dynamic Absorber, besides having low cost components of system, low energy consumption. light weight of system. In this viewpoint. most of car-maker will adopt this system in the near future. For this reason, we developed Dynamic Absorber by using Active viscous Damping which is equipped with continuously variable Dynamic Absorber and Control logic consisting Filter and Estimator. control apparatus of Dynamic Absorber operated by 16-bit microprocessor of high performance. variable device of viscous Damping. G-sensor so on. In this paper. several important points of development procedure for realizing this system will be described with results in which is obtained from experiment by simulation and Full car test in Proving ground. respectively.pectively.

4-병렬 제어 기법을 적용한 6kW 영전압 스위칭 승압형 컨버터 개발 (Development of 6kW ZVS Boost Converter by 4-Parallel Operation)

  • This paper presents development of 6kw ZVS(Zero Voltage Switching) boost converter by 4-parallel operation. To realize a high capacity converter with 6 kw, 4-parallel operation of 1.5kW unit module is proposed in this paper. To meet high ratio input to output voltage, isolated type booster converter is designed. To achieve ZVS operation of 4-switches of full bridge and protect a voltage overshoot caused by switch turn-off, simple active-clamp circuit is applied to the primary side. For parallel operation of 4-modules, master-slave control method is proposed to achieve input current sharing of 4-unit converter modules accurately. For performance tests, simulation is carried out. Also, load and experimental tests of the developed booster converter, 230Vdc/6kW, are carried out under various conditions. For field tests, the developed converter is applied for boosting a battery power to high DC_link voltage for a VSI inverter which starts a micro-turbine(MT) installed in vehicle and it's performance is verified through high speed motoring a MT up to tens of thousands of rpm.

고속열차 대차 측면 페어링 적용을 통한 공기저항 저감 연구 (A STUDY ON THE AERODYNAMIC DRAG REDUCTION OF HIGH-SPEED TRAIN USING BOGIE SIDE FAIRING)

  • The aerodynamic drag of high-speed train has been calculated and the effect of bogie side fairing on the aerodynamic drag has been investigated. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation based on steady-state 3 dimensional Navier-Stokes equation has been conducted employing FLUENT 12 and the aerodynamic model of HEMU-430x, the Korean next generation high-speed train under development has been built using GAMBIT 2.4.6. Three types of bogie side fairing configuration, the proto-type without fairing, half-covered fairing to avoid the interference with the bogie frame and full-covered fairing have been adopted to the train model to compare the drag reduction effects of the bogie side fairing configurations and the numerical results yields that the bogie side fairing can reduce the aerodynamic drag of the 6-car trainset up to 7.8%. The aerodynamic drag coefficient of each vehicle as well as the flow structures around the bogie system have also been examined to analyze the reason and mechanism of the drag reduction by bogie side fairing.

WAVE 보안 알고리즘의 소프트웨어 구현 (Software Implementation of WAVE Security Algorithms)

  • IEEE에서는 V2I, V2V 등의 무선 통신 기능을 제공하여 차량 운행의 안전을 증대 시킬 수 있는 WAVE 규격을 정의하고 있다. WAVE 규격에서는 무선 통신이 갖는 보안 취약성을 극복할 수 있도록 메시지의 암호화 및 인증 기능을 지원하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 WAVE 규격에서 지원하고 있는 보안 알고리즘들을 openssl 라이브러리와 C언어로 구현하였으며, 구현된 알고리즘들은 관련 규격들에서 제시하고 있는 테스트 벡터를 이용하여 정상 동작을 확인하고 성능을 측정하였다. 본 논문에서 구현된 보안 알고리즘들은 플랫폼에 독립적으로 구현되어, WAVE 보안 규격의 구현에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
