The Study of Single Phase Source Stability consider for The DSC Cell's Operation Character by Controlled Feed-back Circuit

  • Recently, with increasing efficiency of DSC (photo-electrochemical using a nano-particle), The Performance of DSC solar generation system also needs improvement. The approach consists of a Fly-back DC-DC (transfer ratio 1:10) converter to boost the DSC cell voltage to 300VDC. The four switch (MOSFET) inverter is employed to produce 220V, 60Hz AC outputs. High performance, easy manufacturability, lower component count., safety and cost are addressed. Protection and diagnostic features form an important part of the design. Another highlight of the proposed design is the control strategy, which allows the inverter to adapt to the: requirements of the load as well as the power source. A unique aspect of the design is the use of the DSP TMS320LF2406 to control the inverter by current and voltage feed-back. Efficient and smooth control of the: power drawn from the DSC Cell is achieved by controlling the front end DC-DC converter in current mode.

  • The low voltage DC-DC Converter(LDC) is used for various electronic devices of electric vehicle. Depending on the growth of the car, the capacity of power conversion circuits must be increased. They have to provide the high efficiency and the high load capacity. The phase shift controlled full-bridge converter can be designed for LDC. The operating characteristics are considered through by simulation.

A New High Efficiency Half Bridge Converter with Improved ZVS Performance

  • A new asymmetrical pulse width modulation (PWM) half bridge converter with improved ZVS performance is proposed. The ZVS operation of the proposed converter can be maintained from no load to full load conditions since the magnetizing current of the transformer contributes to the ZVS operation at light loads without considerable conduction loss of the transformer and switch. Synchronous rectification is employed to reduce the rectification loss. Operational principles, large signal modeling, ZVS analysis and design equations are presented. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed converter can achieve a large ZVS range and significant improvement in efficiency for a 100W (5V, 20A) prototype converter.

Input-Series-Output-Parallel Connected DC/DC Converter for a Photovoltaic PCS with High Efficiency under a Wide Load Range

  • This paper proposes an input-series-output-parallel connected ZVS full bridge converter with interleaved control for photovoltaic power conditioning systems (PV PCS). The input-series connection enables a fully modular power-system architecture, where low voltage and standard power modules can be connected in any combination at the input and/or at the output, to realize any given specifications. Further, the input-series connection enables the use of low-voltage MOSFETs that are optimized for a very low RDSON, thus, resulting in lower conduction losses. The system costs decrease due to the reduced current, and the volumes of the output filters due to the interleaving technique. A topology for a photovoltaic (PV) dc/dc converter that can dramatically reduce the power rating and increase the efficiency of a PV system by analyzing the PV module characteristics is proposed. The control scheme, consisting of an output voltage loop, a current loop and input voltage balancing loops, is proposed to achieve input voltage sharing and output current sharing. The total PV system is implemented for a 10-kW PV power conditioning system (PCS). This system has a dc/dc converter with a 3.6-kW power rating. It is only one-third of the total PV PCS power. A 3.6-kW prototype PV dc/dc converter is introduced to experimentally verify the proposed topology. In addition, experimental results show that the proposed topology exhibits good performance.

  • In this paper, the power electronics requirement and the controls of an induction motor for fuel cell electric vehicle system are presented. The power topology is selected based on performance, cost, size, volume, manufacturability, component count and simplicity. Another highlight of the topology is the reduction of battery bank and its control strategy. The proposed approach consists a full-bridge DC/DC converter to boost the fuel cell voltage. The induction motor operated with vector control is driven by a three-phase PWM inverter supplied by the DC-link voltage. The investigation of the electric vehicle performed due to parameter variation of the induction motor has been presented.

  • In paper, propose new partial resonance ZCS PWM controlled High frequency insulating Full-bridge DC/DC converter not using exciting current of high frequency transformer. It is compared with the existing principles in characteristics. It also realizes a widely stabilized ZVS operating using new On-Off control method at synchronized power rectification MOSFET of high frequency insulating transformer secondary. Finally, it is brought over 97[%] measurement -efficiency by proposed DC-DC converter. It is proved effectiveness of new methods using DC UPS PWM rectifier as switching power.

Novel SRM Drive Systems Using Variable DC-Link Voltage

  • This paper proposes two SRM driving systems using a variable dc-link voltage controlled by a single-phase inverter. Two SRM converter topologies of a half bridge type and a full bridge type are proposed according to the power circuits of an inverter. The phase current can be controlled by means of a PWM controller at the inverter, and the turn-on/off angle at the phase switches can be controlled by a position sensor at the converter in the drive system. The inverter acts as a peak-current limiter if the transient current exceeds its maximum value. SRMs using the proposed topologies maintain high efficiency due to energy regeneration after the turn-off of power switches. The operational modes of the proposed topologies are verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • 본 논문에서는 각각의 스위치 시비율(Duty ratio)의 변화를 이용한 기존의 풀-브릿지 방식과 두 쌍의 스위치 신호 위상 변화를 이용한 위상천이 풀-브리지(Phase-shift Full-bridge) 방식의 차이점을 서술하였다. 위상천이 컨버터의 안정성을 연구하기 위하여, 출력 전류의 맥동(ripple)을 작게 하는 배전류(Current Doubler) 정류회로와 효율을 높이기 위한 동기 정류기(Synchronous Rectifier)를 포함한 평균화 된 스위치 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델을 이용하여 PSPICE 시뮬레이션을 통해 안정성을 고찰하였으며 1.2kW급 170-14V DC-DC 컨버터의 시작품을 제작 후 시뮬레이션 결과와 시작품 결과를 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션의 경우 위상여유는 $58^{\circ}$ 시작품의 위상여유는 $68^{\circ}$로 나타났으며 교차주파수는 12kHz로 동일하게 나오는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 제안한 시뮬레이션 모델을 이용하여 실제 회로의 안정성을 예측할 수 있으며 이를 실제 회로 제작에 활용 할 수 있다.

A Voltage-fed Single-stage PFC Full-bridge Converter with Asymmetric Phase-shifted Control for Battery Chargers

  • A novel voltage-fed single-stage power factor correction (PFC) full-bridge converter based on asymmetric phase-shifted control for battery chargers is proposed in this paper. The attractive feature of the proposed converter is that it can operate in a wide output voltage range without an output low-frequency ripple, which is indispensable in battery charger applications. Meanwhile, the converter can maintain a high power factor and a controllable dc bus voltage over a wide output voltage range. In this paper, the realization of PFC and the operation principle of asymmetric phase-shifted control are given. A small-signal analysis of the proposed single-stage power factor correction (PFC) full-bridge converter is performed. Experimental results obtained from a 1kW experimental prototype are given to validate the feasibility of the proposed converter. The PF is higher than 0.97 over the entire output voltage range with the proposed control strategy.

HEV용 풀-브릿지 DC-DC 컨버터 디지털 제어에 관한 연구 (Study on a digital controlled Full-Bridge DC-DC converter for HEV)

  • 본 논문은 친환경 하이브리드 자동차의 높은 배터리 전압을 자동차 전장에 사용할 수 있게끔 낮은 전압으로 변환 시키는 DC-DC 컨버터 회로에 관한 연구이다. 자동차의 전장들이 증가함에 따라 전력변환회로의 용량도 증가하는 추세이며, 높은 용량의 전력변환회로를 구현하기 위하여 풀-브릿지 컨버터 토폴로지를 선택하여 실험 회로를 구현해 보았다. 회로의 효율을 향상시키기 위하여 영전압 스위칭 방식과 동기정류기를 적용하였으며 대전류 출력에 적합한 배전류 정류 회로를 사용하였다. 각각 아날로그 제어 IC와 MCU를 사용하는 두 종류의 800W급 풀-브릿지 DC-DC 컨버터 실험 회로를 제작 후 실험하였으며 MCU를 사용한 디지털 제어를 적용한 실험 회로의 최대 효율이 90.5%로 아날로그 IC를 사용한 실험 회로의 최대 효율 86%보다 높은 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.
