A Novel Battery Charge/Discharge System with Zero Voltage Discharge Function (영전압 방전 기능을 갖는 새로운 배터리 충방전시스템)

  • One important test for formation and grading of the lithium-ion battery is to confirm the performance of the battery while discharging battery down to zero volts. In this paper, a novel charge/discharge converter with zero-voltage discharge function is proposed. The proposed converter is able to discharge the battery until the voltage reaches to zero volts. The phase-shifted full bridge method is used to charge the battery and the current-fed push-pull method with bidirectional switches is used for the discharge. The ZVS turn-on is achieved in the charge operation and the ZVS turn-off in the discharge operation. The performance of the system is verified by the experiments using lithium-ion batteries.

  • A zero voltage and zero current switching(ZVZCS) fullbridge (FB) PWM converter with secondary auxiliary circuit is proposed. Based on the ZVZCS technique, the ZCS of the lagging-leg switch and ZVS of the leading-leg switch are implemented. And the each secondary side voltage overshoot is decreased by additional secondary auxiliary circuit in this paper. The illustration of its operation principle and the simulation result are presented here.

  • The conventional 60(Hz) power supply for driving magnetron in microwave oven has disadvantages of heavy weight and low efficiency due to 60(Hz) High Voltage Transformer(HVT), capacitor and the phase control of thyristors with open-loop controller. To alleviate these disadvantages, this paper proposes a 20(kHz) phase-shifted(PS) Full-Bridge(FB) Zero- voltage-Switched(ZVS) PWM converter to drive a 600(W) magnetron in an 1(kW) microwave oven and to control the average anode current.

  • In this paper proposed method of maximum power point tracking using boost converter for a connected single phase inverter. The maximum power point tracking control is based on generated circuit control MOSFET switch of two boost converter and single phase inverter uses predicted current control to control four IGBT's switch in full bridge. The predicted current control provide current with sinusoidal wave shape and inphase with voltage.

  • In this paper, development of laser diode driver with 2.5kW rating is presented. The driver is configured with interleaved PFC converter, high frequency full bridge DC-DC converter, two laser diode drivers and ${\mu}$-processor based controller. The system has two laser diode drivers for providing high current and low current. High current driver delivers normal output power of diode; low current driver is for providing critical current of diode for long lifetime. Computer simulation and experiment was performed for verification, as the results, developed driver performs well.

  • The objective of the study is to design and develope a 6kW DC/DC converter with bidirectional power-flow capability. The DC/DC convener topology used in the study is the full-bridge(FB) pulse width modulated convener using ZVS. High-frequency transformer is included to provide isolation between the source and loads. This paper includes simulation and experimental results of the proposed convener.

  • This paper suggests a 6-pulse-shift converter with PWM current-source inverter based on buck-boost configuration to improve the efficiency and to reduce the switching frequency of inverter for photovoltaic generation system, the device can be operated as interface system between solar module system and power system grid without energy storage cell. the circuit has six current-source buck-boost converter which operate chopper part has one full bridge inverter which make a decision the polarity of AC output. Therefore, the proposed PWM power inverter has advantages such as the reduction of witching loss and realization of unity power factor operation. the theoretical backgrounds are discussed and the input-output characteristics for the implemented prototype inverter using TMS320F2812 are verified experimentally in this paper.

  • In paper, propose new partial resonance ZCS PWM controlled High frequency insulating Full-bridge DC/DC converter not using exciting current of high frequency transformer. It is compared with the existing principles in characteristics. It also realizes a widely stabilized ZVS operating using new On-Off control method at synchronized power rectification MOSFET of high frequency insulating transformer secondary. Finally, it is brought over 97[%] measurement -efficiency by proposed DC-DC converter. It is proved effectiveness of new methods using DC UPS PWM rectifier as switching power.

  • 본 논문에서는 2차 측 정류 회로에 GaN HEMT 소자를 이용하는 동기정류기법을 적용한 위상천이 dc-dc 컨버터를 구현한다. 기존 다이오드를 통한 정류회로와의 효율 비교를 통하여 GaN HEMT 동기정류 기반 위상천이 dc-dc 컨버터가 최고효율 1.5%, 평균 효율 0.85%, 전부하 효율 1.99%의 향상효과를 확인한다.

  • PSFB 컨버터(Phase Shift Full Bridge converter)는 다양한 전원장치에 응용되고 있다. 또한 빠른 응답과 1차 측 전류 피크의 불 평형을 방지하기 위해 PCMC(Peak Current Mode Control)를 적용해야 한다. 하지만 PCMC는 유효 시비율이 0.5 이상 일 때 저주파 발진이 일어나기 때문에 경사 보상 기법을 이용해 발진을 막아야 한다. 일반적으로 경사보상 기울기는 최댓값을 사용하기 때문에 전류 명령이 과 보상되며, 무효시비율 구간을 고려하지 않기 때문에 응답속도가 지연 되는 문제가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 무효 시비율 구간을 고려한 하이브리드 피크-밸리 전류 밴드 제어를 통해 BUCK 컨버터와 동일한 응답 특성을 가지는 PSFB 컨버터 제어 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 PSIM 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증되었다.
