실내 동상시스템을 이용한 노상토의 동상민감성 평가 (The Frost Heaving Susceptibility Evaluation of Subgrade Soils Using Laboratory Freezing System)

  • 겨울에는 시베리아기단에 의해 한랭 건조한 대륙성 고기압의 영향을 받는 계절동토지역인 우리나라는 춥고 건조하여 1월 평균기온이 $-6{\sim}-7^{\circ}C$의 영하의 온도로 낮아져 지반동결시 수분이동으로 동상현상이 발생하여 지반구조물의 불균형 동결팽창을 초래한다. 동상 발생시 토립자는 모관력에 의해 지하수를 흡수하여 아이스렌즈를 형성하며, 이 모관 흡수력은 토립자의 크기에 영향을 받는다. 본 연구에서는 흙의 종류에 따른 동상민감성의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 공학적 특성이 다른 10종류의 흙시료에 대하여 물리적 특성 파악과 통일분류법에 의한 흙 분류를 통해 실내동상실험을 실시하였다. 이에 각각 흙의 종류에 따른 동결깊이, 동상팽창량, 부동수분, 아이스렌즈와 같은 동상특성을 확인하여 시료의 동상민감성을 평가하였다.

  • Based on experimental impact testing data, due to changing of velocity and mass of the impactor simultaneously under constant impact energy, crashworthiness of polyurethane foam has been observed. Dynamic tests were carried out in an instrumented impact-testing machine. Also, modified Sherwood-Frost model was proposed to investigate the crashworthy behaviour of rigid polyurethane foam under the condition of constant impact energy.

복합열화 환경하에서의 고로슬래그미분말 사용 콘크리트의 내구성능 평가 (A Durability Assessment on Complex Deterioration of Concrete with Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag Replacement)

  • 본 연구는 동결융해, 염해 및 중성화가 복합적으로 작용하는 콘크리트 구조물의 내구성능을 평가하기 위하여 일반강도 콘크리트를 대상으로 동결수를 달리하여 동결융해 시험을 실시함으로서 염해와 동결융해 복합작용에 의한 콘크리트의 열화를 평가하였고, 염해, 동결융해 및 중성화의 세가지 열화가 복합적으로 발생되는 복합열화에 대해서는 적절한 평가방법이 부재하여 동결수에 따른 동결융해 시험 후의 시험체에 대하여 중성화 촉진시험을 실시함으로서 복합열화에 의한 콘크리트 내구성능 저하 특성을 평가하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 동결수의 종류나 물-결합재비 수준과 무관하게 고로슬래그미분말을 사용한 배합의 경우 염해와 동결융해가 동시에 복합적으로 발생되는 환경에서도 우수한 저항성능을 보이는 결과를 나타내므로 동결융해를 포함한 복합열화 환경에서 충분한 내구성 확보를 위해서는 최소한의 설계기준강도의 확보와 고로슬래그미분말 등 적절한 시멘트 결합재의 선정이 무엇보다 중요하다는 결론을 얻었다.

Effect of porosity on frost resistance of Portland cement pervious concrete

  • Portland cement pervious concrete (PCPC) is an effective pavement material to solve or reduce the urban waterlogging problems. The Mechanical properties, the permeability, the abrasion resistance and the frost resistance of PCPC without fine aggregate were investigated. The increase of porosity was achieved by fixing the dosage of coarse aggregate and reducing the amount of cement paste. The results show that the compressive strength and the flexural strength of PCPC decrease with the increase of porosity. The permeability coefficient and the wear loss of PCPC increase with the increase of the porosity. The compressive strength and the flexural strength of PCPC subjected to 25 freeze-thaw cycles are reduced by 13.7%-17.8% and 10.6%-18.3%, respectively. For PCPC subjected to the same freeze-thaw cycles, the mass loss firstly increases and then decreases with the increase of the porosity. The relative dynamic modulus elasticity decreases with the increase of freeze-thaw cycles. And the lower the PCPC porosity is, the more obvious the dynamic modulus elasticity decreases.

항온챔버에서 히트펌프 실외기의 성능 평가를 위한 시뮬레이션 (Simulation for Performance Evaluation of Heat Pump Outdoor Unit in the Constant Temperature Chamber)

  • 에너지를 절약하기 위해 고효율 히트펌프를 개발하기 위한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그 중, 실외기 코일에 발생하는 서리가 발생하는 현상을 줄이거나 없애기 위한 연구도 동시에 이루어지고 있다. 계절과 관계없이 히트펌프의 실외기에 서리가 발생하지 않는 연구를 진행할 수 있도록 자연 상태와 동일한 조건에서 실험할 수 있는 항온챔버를 구축하였다. 항온챔버 내에 설치된 히트펌프의 실외기에 자연 상태와 같은 조건으로 시뮬레이션하였으며, 그 결과 외기온도가 낮을수록 냉매의 질량유량은 감소하였으며, 냉매의 건도 역시 외기온도에 따라 선형적으로 증가함을 확인하였다.

  • The present study was investigated the local heat transfer characteristics and temperature distribution on the louver fin by using the expansion model. Heat transfer rate, frost mass and temperature distribution of the louver fin under frosting condition were experimentally investigated. Local heat transfer rate and heat flux on the louver were analyzed by the conduction heat transfer between top and lower part of the louver. The experimental key parameter was brine inlet temperature(-5, -10, $-15^{\circ}C$). The heat transfer performance and frost mass at brine temperature of $-15^{\circ}C$ were increased by maximum 3 time than the brine temperature of $-5^{\circ}C$. At all experimental case, local heat transfer rate and heat flux of the louver were almost symmetry at the louver number of 6. Especially, local heat transfer rate and heat flux were maximum increased on the louver number of 4 and 8.

열전도성 플라스틱 평판에서의 착상거동 (Frosting Behavior on the Plate of Thermally Conductive Plastic)

  • An experimental study has been carried out to investigate the frosting behavior on the plate of thermally conductive plastic (PBT based resin) by comparing it with those of aluminum and some plastic test specimens (PTFE based resin). It is found that the frosting behavior of plastic specimens with 1 mm thickness shows similar trend to that of aluminum except PTFE. The properties of frost formed on the specimens are found to be affected by both thermal conductivity and surface characteristics of the materials. The results indicate that the heat and mass transfer rates of PBT resin are almost equivalent to those of aluminum.

운전조건 변화에 따른 루버휜 열교환기 성능변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance of the Louver Fin Type Heat Exchanger by the Change of the Driving Condition)

  • The present study was investigated the effect of the driving condition on the performance of a louver fin and tube type heat exchanger under frosting condition. Heat transfer rate and pressure drop by frost were experimentally investigated. Effects of the wet blub temperature and the shape of a fin on heat transfer performances has been also investigated. The key parameters were fin type(louver and corrugate fin) and the wet blub temperature of air (0.5, 1.0, $1.5^{\circ}C$). The heat transfer performance of the louver fin and tube type heat exchanger was higher by 0.89% than the corrugate fin type. As the wet blub temperature of air were increased, the heat transfer rate, pressure drop and mass of frost of three test models(Type A, B, C) were increased. Especially, the maximum heat transfer rate and maximum pressure drop were shown for the louver fin and tube type heat exchanger. As a experimental result, the enhancement factor(EF) of louver fin and tube type heat exchanger was $0.2{\sim}0.4$ due to the high pressure drop.

  • This paper summarizes the results of a study which uses the recently developed Optical Profile Microscopy technique (Dove and Frost, 1996) as the basis for investigating the role of geomembrane surface roughness on the shear strength of goomembrane/geotextile interfaces. The results show that interface friction can be quantitatively related to the surface roughness of the geomembrane. The peak and residual interface strengths increase dramatically through the use of textured geomembranes as opposed to smooth geomembranes. For the smooth geomembranes, the sliding of the geotextile is the main shear mechanism. For the textured geomembranes, the peak interface strength is mainly mobilized through the micro-texture of the geomembrane, however, the residual interface strength is primarily attributed to macro scale surface roughness which pulls out and breaks the filaments from the geotextile. The results of this study can be extended to the other interfaces such as joints in rock mass, and also can be used to provide a quantitative framework that can lead to a significantly improved basis for the selection and design of geotextiles and geomembranes in direct contact.

  • Considering properties of the low-heat concrete mixed with the blended cements, the influences compared blended cements with ordinary portland cement made experiments on. (1) Blended cements were superior to OPC in the fresh concrete flow that the use of blended cements reduced chemical admixture. (2) The more the use of additive increase, the more bleeding happens. So it is considered to heights, order, and rate of placement, curing methods and so on. (3) The use of blended cements increase long term strength after 28 days, but decrease early strength and durability. So it is considered to the curing methods and early frost damage, and endurance limit.
