이산 선형 시스템의 등가 모델 변환에 관한 연구 (A Studyon the Equivalent Model Transformation of the Discrete Linear Systems)

  • This paper is equivalent model transform which reduces the restriction of digitalization in the discrete linear system. This algorithm is the method that weight is given to contribillity and obserbility gramian, the regular matrix T of coordinate transform is obtained and then the state space coefficents of weighted model can be obtained. This study shows the frequency reponse of low quantization error according to the order of weighting function. The result shows that frequency response of the proposed algorithm is better than that of the balanced realization in the system of smaller bit.

주파수 응답함수를 이용한 구조 파라메터 예측 (Identification of Structural Parameters from Frequency Response Functions)

  • An improved method based on a normal frequency response function (FRF) is proposed to identify structural parameters such as mass, stiffness and damping matrices directly from the FRFs of a linear mechanical system. The method for estimating structural parameters directly from the measured FRFs of a structure is presented. This paper demonstrates that the characteristic matrices are extracted more accurately by using a weighted equation and eliminating the matrix inverse operation. The method is verified for a four degree-of-freedom lumped parameter system and an eight degree-of-freedom finite element beam. Experimental verification is also performed for a free-free steel beam whose size and physical properties are the same as those of the finite element beam. The results show that the structural parameters, especially the damping matrix, can be estimated more accurately by the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes a new method for tuning a linear quadratic - proportional integral derivative controller for second order systems to simultaneously meet the time and frequency domain design specifications. The suitable loop-shape of the controlled system and the desired step response are considered as specifications in the time and frequency domains, respectively. The weighting factors, Q and R of the LQ controller are determined by the algebraic Riccati equation with respect to the limiting behavior and target function matching. Numerical examples show the effectiveness of the proposed LQ-PID tuning method

화자 확인을 위한 다중대역에 기반한 주성분 분석 공분산 모델 (PCA Covariance Model Based on Multiband for Speaker Verification)

  • Feature vectors of speech are generally extracted from whole frequency domain. The inherent character of a speaker is located in the low band or high band frequency. However, if the speech is corrupted by narrowband noise with concentrated energy, speaker verification performance is reduced as the individual characteristic is removed. In this paper, we propose a PCA Covariance Model based on the multiband to extract the robust feature vectors against the narrowband noise. First, we divide the overall frequency band into several subbands. Second, the correlation of feature vectors extracted independently from each subband is removed by PCA. The distance obtained from each subband has different distribution. To normalize against the different distribution, we moved the value into the normalized distribution through the mapping function. Finally, the represented value applying the weighting function is used for speaker verification. In the experiments, the proposed method shows better performance of the speaker verification and reduces the computation.

Relationship between executive function and cue weighting in Korean stop perception across different dialects and ages

  • The present study investigated how one's cognitive resources are related to speech perception by examining Korean speakers' executive function (EF) capacity and its association with voice onset time (VOT) and f0 sensitivity in identifying Korean stop laryngeal categories (/t'/ vs. /t/ vs. /th/). Previously, Kong et al. (under revision) reported that Korean listeners (N = 154) in Seoul and Changwon (Gyeongsang) showed differential group patterns in dialect-specific cue weightings across educational institutions (college, high school, and elementary school). We follow up this study by further relating their EF control (working memory, mental flexibility, and inhibition) to their speech perception patterns to examine whether better cognitive ability would control attention to multiple acoustic dimensions. Partial correlation analyses revealed that better EFs in Korean listeners were associated with greater sensitivity to available acoustic details and with greater suppression of irrelevant acoustic information across subgroups, although only a small set of EF components turned out to be relevant. Unlike Seoul participants, Gyeongsang listeners' f0 use was not correlated with any EF task scores, reflecting dialect-specific cue primacy using f0 as a secondary cue. The findings confirm the link between speech perception and general cognitive ability, providing experimental evidence from Korean listeners.

  • 철도차량의 승차감은 승객이 느끼는 감정이므로 물리적인 진동의 크기뿐만 아니라 인간의 감응도(느낌)도 고려하여야 하며, 이러한 진동에 대한 인간의 감응도를 나타낸 것이 주파수 보정곡선이다. 주파수 보정곡선은 라플라스 변환형태의 전달함수이기 때문에 이 전달함수를 직접 사용하여 시간 영역에서의 승차감의 평가가 불가능하다. 이를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 라플라스 변환형태의 전달함수를 시간 영역에서 사용할 수 있는 전달함수로 변환하는 방법을 제시하고 다양한 예제를 통해 이 방법에 대한 타당성을 입증하였다.

데이터 전송을 위한 최적 FIR 필터 설계 (Design of Optimal FIR Filters for Data Transmission)

  • 제한된 주파수 대역폭을 이용하여 신호를 전송하기 위해서는 여러종류의 특성을 갖는 필터들이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 필터들을 효율적으로 설계하기위한 두가지 방식을 제시하였다. 특히 fractionally-spaced(FS) 구조가 사용될때 더욱 효율적으로 필터를 설계할 수 있다. FS 구조의 특성을 최소자승 오차 방식과 결합하여, 출력오차에 영향을 주지않고, 적절한 주파수 특성을 갖는 SF 필터 설계 방식을 제시하였다. 예로, noise 신호들을 적절히 이용하면, 한개의 SF 필터가, QAM 복조에 필요한 phase splitter, 수신 필터 그리고 등화기 기능까지 갖도록 설계할 수 있다. 두번째로 임의의 주파수 특성이 요구되는 필터의 설계 방식을 제시하였다. weighting factor를 이용한 최소자숭법을 iterative하게 사용하여 최적설계를 얻는다. 이를위해 weighting factor를 효율적으로 update하기 위한 새로운 알고리듬을 이용하였다. 마지막으로, 더욱 복잡한 조건을 갖는 필터를, 이 두가지 방식을 같이 이용하여, 효율적으로 설계할 수 있는것을 보였다.

가중함수에 따른 능동제어 알고리듬의 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on Active Control Algorithms through Weighting Functions)

  • 성능지수는 제어 대상이 되는 구조물의 응답과 제어기의 성능에 관한 가중함수로 구성되어 있다. 따라서 가중함수의 설계에 따라 성능지수가 변화되며 제어 효율이 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 최적 능동제어 알고리듬의 일종인 시간 영역에서의 성능지수를 고려한 LQR기법과 LQG기법 및 주파수 영역에서의 성능지수를 고려한 H₂기법에 대하여 동일한 가중함수를 적용하여 제어 성능인 제어율과 제어력을 비교하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 그러나, LQG기법은 모든 상태 변수를 알아야 하는 LQR기법의 한계를 극복할 수 있으며 LQR기법과 동일 수준의 제어율과 제어력을 보이고 있고 출력 제어라는 장점을 고려하면 현실적인 기법이라고 말할 수 있다. 마지막으로 구조물 응답과 제어기의 주파수 특성을 고려하여 주파수 필터의 가중함수를 설계하는 H₂기법을 분석하였다. H₂기법은 제어력을 저주파수 영역에 집중시킬 수 있기 때문에 구조물 응답을 효과적으로 제어할 수 있는 방법으로 분석되었다.

  • A friction-type clutch system sometimes generates spick-slip vibration during engagement, which disturbs smooth start of a car and makes a passenger uncomfortable. In this study, the spick-slip vibration in four types of friction couples was investigated at two different engagement conditions respectively of which the amount of slip time and clutch travel was varied. Results are found as follows. First, the vibration increased at the condition of small engine torque and large torque fluctuations due to higher harmonics of engine speed. Second, the friction couple without a pre-damper has advantages of reducing the vibration. This study also suggested an evaluation method of vehicle vibration in the view point of human perception by using the frequency weighting of ISO2631-1.
