  • Body-on-frame type vehicle has a set of frame bushes which are installed between body and frame fur vibration Isolation. Such frame bushes are important vibration transmission paths to passenger space. In order to reduce the vibration level of passenger space, therefore, the change of complex stiffness of the frame bushes is more efficient than modification of other parts of the vehicle such as body, frame and suspension. The purpose of this study is to reduce the vibration level for ride comfort by optimization of complex stiffness of frame bushes. In order to do this end, simple finite element vehicle model was constructed and the complex stiffness of frame bushes was set to be design variable. Objective function was defined to reflect passenger ride comfort and genetic algorithm and sub-structure synthesis were applied for minimization of the objective function.

  • Body-on-frame type vehicle has a set of frame bushes between body and frame for vibration isolation. In order to reduce the vibration level of passenger space, therefore, change of complex stiffness of the frame bushes is more efficient than modification of other parts of the vehicle such as body, frame and suspension. The purpose of this study is to reduce the vibration level for ride comfort by optimization of complex stiffness of frame bushes. In order to do this, a simple finite element vehicle model was constructed and complex stiffness of the frame bushes was set to be design variables. The objective function was defined to reflect frequency dependence of passenger ride comfort. Genetic algorithm and sub-structure synthesis were applied for minimization of the objective function. After optimization level at a position of interest on the car body was reduced by about 43.7 % in RMS value. Causes for optimization results are discussed.

  • 본 논문은 은유적 표현이 단순한 수사학적인 표현이 아닌 사고의 영역에 관련되어 있다는 인지언어학적인 관점을 따른다. 이러한 관점은 은유는 특정한 사고의 틀(frame)을 동원하여 그 틀에 의해 대상을 보게 하므로 어떤한 면을 부각시키는 반면 여전히 실재하는 다른 면을 감추기도 하면서 우리의 삶에 영향을 주고 있음에 주목한다. 정치에서의 은유표현들은 정치적 의도를 관철시키기 위해 사용된다. Lakoff는 미국의 보수주의에는 '엄한 아버지' 모델이 라는 도덕관이 작동하고 있다고 주장한다. 본고는 '엄한 아버지' 모델에 근거한 동일한 은유가 조지 H. 부시 대통령의 걸프전 연설문과 조지 W. 부시 대통령의 이라크전 연설문에 공통적으로 사용되고 있음을 확인하였다.

프레임을 유연체로 고려한 대형트럭 컴퓨터 모델의 개발 (Development of a Computer Model of a Large-sized Truck Considering the Frame as a Flexible Body)

  • This paper develops a computer model for estimating the handling of a cabover type large-sized truck. The truck is composed of front and rear suspension systems, a frame, a cab, and ten tires. The computer model is developed using ADAMS. A shock absorber, a rubber bush, and a leaf spring aunt a lot on the dynamic characteristic of the vehicle. Their stiffness and damping coefficient are measured and used as input data of the computer model. Leaf springs in the front and rear suspension systems are modeled by dividing them three links and joining them with joints. To improve the reliability of the developed computer model, the frame is considered as a flexible body. Thus, the frame is modeled by finite elements using MSC/PATRAN. A mode analysis is performed with the frame model using MSC/NASTRAN in order to link the frame model to the computer model. To verify the reliability of the developed computer model, a double lane change test is performed with an actual vehicle. In the double lane change, lateral acceleration, yaw rate, and roll angle are measured. Those test results are compared with the simulation results.

  • Dynamic behavior of a scroll compressor has been investigated analytically. The equations of motion of moving elements of the scroll compressor such as the orbiting scroll, anti-rotation device, slider bush, and the crank shaft with eccentric crank pin have been set up. As the solutions of these equations, reaction forces between the moving elements, and also between the moving elements and the compressor frame have been calculated. The reaction forces from the moving elements to the frame are the unbalanced forces, which produce accelerations of the compressor body. These accelerations can be used as a measure of the compressor vibration. The major contributions to the unbalanced forces come from the orbiting movement of the orbiting scroll.

국내 주거생활에 나타나는 라탄(Rattan)가구 활용사례 연구 (A study on the examples of rattan furniture's applications in Korean residence)

  • Rattan furniture is strips of cane around the frame that consists of wisteria, bamboo and wood. The materials are originally from Southeast Asia, and the material of domestic Rattan goods is Korean wisteria. Rattan, which is strong and elastic, is often used for craft materials, and it also retains the original feel of the material with great touch. It is beautiful and suitable for expressing curves. It is shiny, light in weight, easy for cleaning and ventilation. Rattan furniture is unique product made by human hands and nature and is an environment friendly well-being furniture. The use examples of these domestic rattan furnitures is condensed as below. First, the materials of rattan product is wisteria, rice straw, bush clover wood, reed and bamboo. Second, the use of rattan product which is made of domestic wisteria is limited to farming equipments and living wares. Third, the materials of rattan furniture differs in domestic made and foreign made product. As is the characteristics of timbers growing in warmer climates of Korea, it has many twist and strong and it is not straight in length so it is hard to manufacture into and use as furniture also it is hard to acquire right size for the material.

자동차 프런트 서브프레임 모듈 설계기술에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Design Technology for Automobile Front Subframe Module)

  • Even in the world wide automobile companies where a few simple modules are put into practical use, the front subframe modules of which performances of durability, NVH and crash are significantly important are under planing. In this study, design technology for the automobile front subframe module, which consists of an engine, a transmission and steering parts, structural components (frame, upper arm, lower arm and brake etc.) and rubber components(engine mount, axle mount and rubber disc etc.), was developed. A FEM-based analytical approach was used to evaluate the multiaxial high cycle fatigue damage of the front subframe module. Strain-life fatigue database system and expert system for fatigue properties of welded materials were developed. Stiffness values of the various rubber bushes mounted on the front subframe were evaluated by experimental method and FEM. TWB(Tailor Welded Blank) technology was applied to forming the cross member of the front subframe. Performance evaluations in relation to NVH and crash were conducted by using CAE technologies.
