For ages, Furniture, it has been improved for human aesthetic needs as well as human life as a tool. In the 1960s, it's the age of an ideological conflict. And its war made the hippie-culture come out. And, it was economically bountiful. The epoch-making development of the scientific technology made the result of space development, conquering the moon in the first of the mankind. Made the appearance of the Anti-design against the modern design which was the also, it traditional values and the mainstream. The plastic has merits, low-priced, light, being perfectly able to do mass production of the all kind of shapes' furniture with all-desired colors. It was the wonderful material for the expression of the short-life character, the irony, the kitsch, and an intentional decoration to being chased by anti-design. And the result, the plastic furniture in the people's daily-life has well represented with reflecting the mind of the people in that age.

This study estimates relationships between physical and chemical weathering indices of various rock types and topographical relief. Physical weathering properties such as rock strength and joint and chemical weathering indices such as the $SiO_2/Al2O_3$, CIA and WPI were analyzed from 18 rock outcrops in mountain and valley areas consisting of 9 rock types. The results indicate that the elevation and relief of topography increase physical strength of rock increases. It can be suggested that the total r(rock-mass strength rating) and R(rock rebound strength by Schmidt Hammer) are most useful indices as a quantitative weathering property factor to explain formative causes of topographical relief. The results also suggest that rock types such as sandstone, granite, gneiss and schist are most suitable to explain meaningful difference in topographical relief with the physical and chemical weathering indices.

Chair design in recent international furniture exhibitions showed that chair products were varied with several elements in simple and basic shapes. Likewise, the project supposedly referred to a group that could be classified as a design with a concept of ranges, and if the design were aimed at mass production, those group concept could be even stronger in the fields of design. Based on many modern and contemporary examples of mass-produced chairs from three Scandinavian countries namely Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, this study was aimed at discovering new points of view, characteristics, and chair design concerning dominant products. The six companies and three artists were selected as this research's samples. The companies have to have more than four kinds of ranges, and they were Fritz Hansen, Bl Station, K llemo, Lammhults, Artek, and Vivero. We have chosen the 3 artists such as Hans J. Wegner, Bruno Mathsson, and Alvar Aalto who have repeatedly used their own motives to reflect their national identities in various works. The method of the research was the analysis of the current situations of chair designs' ranges. The results of the analysis on the product group for each of the six selected companies show the following variables: 1)Formative characteristics 2)Structural characteristics 3)Emotional characteristics. The artists' groups have symbolically expressed personal identities, and consequently, national identities. Finally, the variation in the simple elements of chair design made the identification of product groups ultimately easier, as the expressions and applications of their identities were used within the scope of mass products in various designs.

The purpose of this study is to examine how he successfully connected his ideas of fashion design for art with the commerciality without a conflict about for 40 years. It is expected that this study will be a precedent in the aspect of the symmetry between artistry and commercialization in Issey Miyake's works. We will examine Issey Miyake's idea of fashion design and its development for the commercialization since 1970s that he started to give shape to his ideas in the fashion works to exactly commercialize in the market. 1. Re-creation of tradition(a piece of cloth): throughout the 1970s, Miyake continued to experiment with a variety of Eastern design elements. The elements of Japanese or oriental tradition made him to be at the very center of supreme of the world of fashion. He took advantages of his identity, and developed the tradition for mass produce. 2. Design for mass(Pleats Please): Miyake decided to make clothes for the people, not only for the top class of the society. This thought developed the designs for the mass, which were functional, universal for the modem buyer, and accessible to a wide market. He realized his ideal by the medium of pleats, which were made through industrial processes, while he tried variously the aspect of formative of the pleats in the collections. His designs concept is summarized by the industrial product design and anonymous design. 3. Innovation of manufacturing system(A-POC): Miyake in 1999 developed A-POC. A-POC is used modern computers in conjunction with traditional technology. A-POC does not make only a new cloth but also makes a new manufacturing system of clothes.

Throughout the history of fashion and fashion collections, fashion design has been influenced by fine arts. Philosophy and concept of fine arts has been inspiration on the development of fashion design which brings on the close interrelation between fine arts and modern fashion. In order to analyze the affect of fine arts such as Pop art on fashion this study inquires into new perspective that considers different social contexts on the premise that acknowledges the essential difference between the genre of fine arts and design. This study researches the influence of Pop art which has been inspiration on fashion designers since the birth in the 1960s and often appears in recent fashion trends. In view of the results achieved in this study, Pop art-inspired fashion does not concern the aesthetic contemplation of everyday life in western society anonymously as in Pop art but deals with pop art as new ideas in a way that adopts images randomly from designer's convenience which is equivalent to the conception of pastiche. In addition, it was inferred that Peter Pan syndrome exert influence as a mental process and Kidult trend operate on Pop art-inspired fashion as a social phenomenon. On the basis of the theoretical background, the formative features in Pop art-inspired fashion from Spring/Summer 2000 to Spring/Summer 2004 collection has been analyzed. The results fall on the following four categories; those are the use of Pop color which resembles the Hard-edge technique in Pop art, direct appropriation of Pop art such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichitenstein's works on clothes and accessories, adaptation of Pop art's subject using brand names of mass products or icons in mass culture as design motives, and application of representation method in Pop art such as Andy Warhol's silk screen techniques or Tom Wesselman's composition of pictures.

This is a study on a landscape planning along the street 1~4, which are gateways to Taegu city and an important scenery. Therefore, emphasis was given to provide a bright, clean and beautiful first impression to visitors and citizens. The area is being developed for education and athletic park. Plans to construct a fountain, pergolas and a pond were set up to complement the active and passive facilities to the existing a athletic facilities in the area. Since D part in the area have alkali soil (pH 8.1), soil amendment is necessary for successful growth of trees and ground covers. When the area is filled or added with new soil for soil amendment, it will be important to use fresh soil which can support plant growth. It will be ideal to use ground covers and shrubs on the existing retaining walls along the street for keeping natural vegetation and slope stability instead of further cutting and reconstruction. It is not reasonable in technical and economic sense to remove rocks of the slope for planting trees. In order to harmonize plant color distribute, tall needle and broad leaf trees in the background as a screen, flowering trees were arranged in groups at front, and annuals were mass-planted along the footway. Natural-form-trees will be planted because they not only serve as a greenbelt but also are more economics in maintenance than formative trees.

Most of cultural area which people enjoy and consume is kitsch culture, though the culture is barely acknowledged. In this multimedia era, people create, publish and enjoy contents of 'webtoon(web+cartoon)', which is relatively faster and more convenient to enjoy comparing to published cartoon. Contrarily to its physical growth, the webtoon shows difficulty in advancing with other genres, is full of irritative factors and contents, and has tough time to become more sophisticated one. This study derived characteristics of kitsch in webtoon, suggested the way of webtoon as an art by analyzing conditions and usage motivation of webtoon. The conditions of kitsch are uniformity of mass consumption, popular vein, catharsis, vicarious satisfaction, immediate feedback-requiring image flood, and reproduction of techniques. The usage motivations of webtoon are studied as pursuit of information, entertainment, relaxation, socialization, convenience, and effectiveness. Usage motivation factors in webtoon and kitsch culture are almost identical. Contrary to its past of being underestimated and vulgarly considered, kitsch is acknowledged as an 'kitsch art'. By studying the process of becoming an art, the study has its purpose to suggest the experimental and developing way to make webtoon be acknowledged as 'webtoon art'.

The research has the aim of defining the special characteristics of the functionalist fashion design in the 20th century by understanding the essence of functionalism in the sociocultural contexts and studying functionalism in fashion design and architectural and product design by the comparative. Giving careful consideration to functionalist fashion design in the 20th century makes it possible to foresee the way of fashion design to meet the needs of the moderns and men of the future world. To obtain the purposes, documentary study and comparative study have been executed. Main results are as follows. Functionalism stressed in the beginning of the 20th century can be defined and categorized using three analogies, mechanical analogy of futuristic quality based on mechanical aesthetics and standardization by mass production, organic analogy in which the perfect beauty of nature is stressed on, moral analogy of fitness for purpose and absence of ornament based on integrity and sincerity. In while, functionalism in 1990s has been developed in different ways from those analogies. In comparative studies, functionalist fashion design and architectural and product design have the dissimilarity as well as the similarity of formative features. Since fashion design has much closer relation to human body and movements. it has been expressed considering a division of men and women and the places and times for the designs more than other designs.

In the case of immobilizing of glucose oxidase into polypyrrole (PPy) using electrosynthesis, the glucose oxidase (GOx) forms a coordinate bond with the polymers backbone. However, because of intrinsic insulation and net-chain of the enzyme, the charge transfer and mass transport are obstructed during the film growth. Therefore, the film growth is dull. We synthesized the enzyme electrode by electropolymerization added some organic solvent. A formative seeds of film growth is delayed by adding ethanol. The delay is induced by radical transfer between ethanol and pyrrole monomer. The radical transfer shares the contribution of dopant between electrolyte anion and GOx polyanion. This may lead to increase amount of immobilized the enzyme in PPy. For the UV absorption spectra of synthetic solution before synthesis and after, in the case of ethanol added, the optical density was slightly decreased for the GOx peaks. It suggests amount of GOx in the solution was decreased and amount of GOx in the film was increased. We established qualitatively that amount of immobilization can be improved by adding a little ethanol in the synthetic solution. It is due to radical transfer reaction. The radical transfer shares the contribution of dopant between small and fast electrolyte anion and big and slow GOx polyanion.

In early 20th Century Neo Art Movement and Fuctionalim in Europe effected to create new tendency as Modern Design and technical development through Industrial Revolution offered technical background to realize Modern Design. All these things were basic to establish 1920s and the concept as Modern Design had been established at this time in field of Architecture and design. Thubular-steel Chair which used industrial material based on social andtechnical circumstance came out as an epochal event and which symbolize Modern Design have enlarged their concept with 1920s European Dwelling Space. According to each tendency arrange characteristics as classifying on the society-cultural spatial plastic technical sides multiple dwelling house and tubular-steel chair for low income brackets have characteristic of (1) the pursuit of social functionalism design for public(socity-cultural characteristics) (2) the pursuit of simplicity based on functionalism (plastic charcteristics) (3) the standardization for mass production (technical characteristc). In conclusion the characteristics of tubular-steel chair which correspond with dwelling space in 1920's is presented a type for relation between furniture and space which correspond with formating in the formative period of Modern-design.
