  • The purpose of this study is to establish a conceptual model of the course evaluations. in University. This paper has examined the course evaluations according to the levels, purposes, objects, and methods of them. And this paper has been classified for a conceptual model of the course evaluation. As the result of this analysis, four dimensions of course evaluation have been found. First, formative and summative evaluation have been found. The purposes of formative evaluation were improving quality of courses and collecting information for improvement of curriculum. The purposes of summative evaluation were offering informations on faculty staffing and improving of learning outcomes. Second, the levels of course evaluation were classified into university-level, professor-level, and student-level. Third, the objects of course evaluation were classified into analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Forth, the methods of course evaluation were classified into questionnaire, observation, interview, and content analysis. As a result of this analysis, 120 types of course evaluations have been found.

  • Recently, not only development of curriculum associated directly with job, the development of new education model is in great need. So, the purpose of this study is to develop the instructional design guideline utilizing goal-based scenario(GBS) for college students who major in culinary arts. First, to achieve this goal, we recognized the 7 core elements(learning goal, mission, cover story, role activity, scenario operating, resource, feedback) composing GBS through literature review and case study. Second, we drew a conclusion about the problem and guideline for traditional culinary practice course by conducting inspection about culinary practice environment and needs with professors who are teaching culinary arts. Third, we applied the instructional design guideline for culinary practice to regular classes according to GBS's factors, and then we did formative evaluation with content experts and educational technology expert. Finally, we designed the final instructional design guideline for culinary practice by modifying early model reflected the result of formative evaluation. The results of this study are as following. First, when we applied GBS to culinary practice, professors have to focus on process of materialization by developing easy scenario to students. Also, they have to prepare the class circumstance to feel about sense of realism in advance. Second, to give a conjugally new skill at working, professors's effort is important. culinary practice education at college has responsibility to carry out the vocational training that has competitiveness and difference with labor market's needs. Therefore, it is necessary for us to develop the teaching and learning model for culinary practice which is suitable for major based on the manpower demand for industry without causing job mismatch from demand for industry.

  • In order to adapt learners' individual differences in learning ability, individual learning and level-learning have been recommended. However, instructing each student accordingly is not easy issue. In this paper, an online learning support system based on Keller's Personalized System of Instruction theory is developed. As a class-based system, it supports teachers and students to conveniently conduct frequent formative evaluations. It enables students to study at their own learning pace and to reach their learning goals. And it adopts point system and level system to induce self-directed participation. Our implementation results confirm teachers can conduct formative evaluations efficiently.

  • Contemporary fashion research has paid increasing attention to the sublimity in the context of postmodernism. Sublimity is considered essential in contemporary fashion design as it arouses complex emotions which verbal expression cannot describe. Therefore, contemporary fashion designs need to be interpreted in terms of the sublimity. Through a detailed review of literature, the present study discusses Kantian and Lyotardian sublimity as main theories representing conventional and cotemporary concepts of sublimity. This paper selected five Korean fashion designers who won the prize of Samsung Design Fund from 2006 to 2019 and actively introduce their works every year. Images were collected to analyze their designs introduced from 2018 S/S to 2019F/W at their website. In addition, formative and color characteristics were analyzed to identify the changing features of s sublimity. Major findings of analyses are as follows. First, all designers' collections reflected both male and female sublimity with the respect to its formative characteristics. Color characteristics of sublimity indicated that Jeong, Wook Jun's collections represented features of male sublimity and other designers works showed elements of female sublimity. Essentially, the typical contemporary concept of the sublimity was found in the designs of Seo, Hye In. Consequently, female sublimity is more inclusive than male sublimity, while being opened to otherness.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of spatial design education focusing on creativity based on design process. In this research, the theoretical frame of design process focused on creativity was organized and the trend of creativity education study in the spatial design and other design sectors was compared and analyzed. As a result of the research, the creativity education study of spatial design analyzed such a result showed the relatively low frequency, many of studies related to formative expression of idea. On the contrary, the creativity education of other design sectors is related to overall process the most, the major contents were represented as a creativity enhancement eduction through the conversion with other sectors, the utilization of study method and theology and the utilization of IT technology. The result of this study suggests that more various attempts are required for the spatial design education and that the attempts should orient the conversion between science and art, humanity and science and the integrated access of digital and analogue.

  • Lucie Rie as an individual ceramist in terms of contemporary meaning was influenced by early 20th century's academic education and the ideology of modern formative arts. Modernity in her ceramic works has had a dramatic exert on numerous potters. Also, she is highly required to be studied in the history of modern pottery as a potter who took the initiative of studio pottery by the individual artistic handicraft. This paper considered an analysis of characteristics and techniques of 20C Modernistic ceramist Lucie Rie's works and activities. The body of this research investigated classification by chronicles and stylistic characteristics of her activity in the background of early 20th century European Modernism which influenced her formative arts. • According to instruction of standard-based assessment system, teachers with higher level of competence in student assessment are required. The purpose of this study is to offer the basic data to enhance pre-service physics teachers' competency in student assessment. 17 pre-service physics teachers, who are sophomore in department of physics education, participated in the study for a whole semester. To do this, we gave the assignment of multiple choice question construction in physics conceptest for formative assessment to pre-service teachers and observed review questions constructed by them. We also analyzed multiple choice questions of 17 pre-service teachers. They had 5 classes for the review process of the question and improved their questions through it. 16 of 17 pre-service teachers completed test design. Our results show that pre-service teachers had a little low competence in test design for classroom assessment. In addition to, constructing and revising questions, almost of them didn't have various perspectives and didn't consider to get information about the pre-conceptions of students. These findings indicate that they have difficulties with constructing multiple choice question and more specific plan needs to enhance the overall student-assessment competency levels of pre-service teachers for successful settlement of the standard-based assessment system.

  • This paper aims at implementing experimental devices with which middle school students can explore scientific ideas using GoGo Board and NetLogo that connect real and simulated worlds. Related research literature was reviewed to design a simulation-based learning model using computer simulation and robot-related activities. In order to construct devices for exploratory experiments, GoGo Board was adopted for developing the interface of Micro-Based Laboratory(MBL) devices with several sensors while NetLogo was used for connecting MBL devices (real world) and simulated experiments (virtual world). The simulation contents were developed in the area of heat equilibrium for changing temperature and the conduct-current relationship appeared in the textbook of middle school science class. With the developed device and contents students can visualize the change of temperature cold and hot waters in terms of heat equilibrium. They also can measure the change of conductor representing the relationship between conductor and current. The formative evaluation of the contents carried out with several middle school students indicated the future direction for upgrading simulation contents and interface. The results might be beneficial for science educators who want to apply simulation contents with the use of computers.

  • The purposes of this research were to evaluate the effects of the sex education program on sexual knowledge and sexual attitude, and to provide fundamental information on sex education for middle school students. The research design was comparison and experimental groups including pre-test and post-test. The study subjects were 160 male middle school students in Pusan: 80 students of the experimental group and 80 students of the comparison group. The experimental group showed the significant differences from the comparison group in terms of sexual knowledge and sexual attitude. Through formative evaluation, students recognized human sexuality, especially in the areas of physical change, psychological change, dating, sexual drives and sexual violence. This sexual education program was designed with literature review and participated students' requests.
