During the $2^{nd}$ JVET (Joint Group on Future Video Coding Technology Exploration) meeting, up to 22 coding tools focusing on Future Video Coding (FVC) were proposed. Despite that the application of proposed coding tools has a considerable performance enhancement, however, the encoding time of Joint Exploration Model (JEM) software is over 20 times for All Intra coding mode, 6 times for Random Access coding mode, of HEVC reference model (HM), and decoding time is 1.6 times for All Intra coding mode, 7.9 times for Random Access coding mode, of HM. This paper focuses on analyzing the complexity of the JEM software compared with HM.

아르곤 레이저에 의해 광펌핑 되는 티타늄 사파이어 레이저를 제작하고 이를 자체 모드록킹 시켰다. 모드록킹은 볼 슬라이더 위에 장착된 공진기 거울의 이동에 의해 시작되었으며 티타늄 사파이어 결정내의 자체 집속 효과와 공진기내에 설치된 조리개에 의해 모드록킹이 유지 되었다. 공진기내의 군속도를 보상하기 위하여 프리즘쌍을 사용하였으며, 모드록킹된 펄스의 대역폭은 11nm, 펄스폭은 $1000\pm20fs$였다.

This paper analyzes the vibration characteristics of an optical pickup actuator, which has six wire-suspensions and is used in optical disc drives(ODDs). The vibration characteristics of the actuator is mathematically described by analyzing its beam configuration and motion condition confined to lateral and longitudinal directions of the beams. The accuracy of the vibration characteristics is proved by comparing mode frequencies with a finite element analysis. Finally, it is shown that mode frequencies and shapes can be modified by changing design parameters in mathematical expressions.

최신의 항공기 탑재 능동위상배열레이다(AESA radar; active electronically scanned array radar) 에서는 AESA 레이다의 빠른 전자적 빔 조향 능력과 효율적인 레이다 자원관리를 통해, 상황인식 능력을 극대화할 수 있는 동시운용(Interleaved) 모드가 운용된다. 본 논문에서는 AESA 레이다의 동시운용모드에 있어서 점진적인 성능 저하를 이루기 위한 모드별 자원 할당량을 결정하기 위해, 모드별 성능분석 항목을 식별하고 탐지거리 성능 측면에서 자원할당량에 따른 성능저하를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 실제 동시운용모드 설계 시 모드별 또는 탐색 영역 조합별로 성능 저하를 최소화 할 수 있는 부하량을 도출하였고, 단일모드 운용 대비 동시모드 운용 시 부하 관리 기반 빔 스케줄링 규칙에 대해 제안하였다.

Focusing on Hwaseokjeong in Paju, the work seeks to clarify the social production of Nujeong (樓亭: Korean traditional pavilions) space, which took place over the 1960s and 70s, and its cultural-political implications. To make the effort as such meaningful, a theoretical framework based not merely on the thesis of 'social production of space' advocated by Henri Lefebvre but especially on some discussions related to 'state production of space' is prepared, according to which Hwaseokjeong is analyzed and explained. As a consequence, two principal arguments are put forward: one is that Hwaseokjeong was a social space which had been built and constructed in accordance with the unique mode of production dominating Korean society at that time called 'the state mode of production (le mode de production étatique)'; the other is that what lies beneath the denotation of a 'social space of tradition restoration' that Hwaseokjeong appears to carry is in fact the connotation of 'infiltration of anti-communist ideology'. All of these claims are once again supported both by examining Roland Barthes's semiology and mythologies and by considering Hwaseokjeong's P yeonaek (扁額: a plaque or framed text) as 'the practice of naming power through Jesa (題詞: inscribing dedications)'. While providing a succinct summary, the paper finally evaluates what 'social production of space' implies to social practices of architecture and related criticisms by taking into account the relationship between visibility and readability of space including buildings.

Optical disk is the media which is used generally in data storage device, but it has a disadvantage in the vibration by spinning and the shock. For overcoming these disadvantage, we must control the optical disk to minimize the focusing error and tacking error. The present study investigates the disk profile for minimizing the focusing error subjected to environmental shock and weight of the disk. In this study, the disk is assumed to be a cantilever beam to determine the disk profile for the minimum displacement as to the shock considering only the first mode. Also, for the optimally determined profile by ADS program this paper recalculate the robust caltilever profile by using orthogonal array and ANOM.

A structural health monitoring (SHM) technique for locating impact position in a composite plate is presented in this paper. The technique employs a single sensor and spatial focusing properties of time reversal (TR) and inverse filtering (IF). We first examine the focusing effect of back-propagated signal at the impact position and its surroundings through simulation. Impact experiments are then carried out and the localization images are found using the TR and IF signal processing, respectively. Both techniques provide accurate impact location results. Compared to existing techniques for locating impact or acoustic emission source, the proposed methods have the benefits of using a single sensor and not requiring knowledge of material properties and geometry of structures. Furthermore, it does not depend on a particular mode of dispersive Lamb waves that is frequently used in the SHM of plate-like structures.

공간적으로 Gaussian인 Q-switched Nd:LYAG레이저의 제2고조파 빛살을 일정한 반경의 pinhole로 중심부분만 통과시켜 집광렌즈로 집광시킨 후, 렌즈의 초점면에서 빛살모양을 관찰하여 본 결과 원형 대칭을 갖는 비Gaussian모양을 하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 빛살의 집광영역내에서 두께 1mm의 $CS_2$를 이동(z-scan)하여 가며 자체집광효과에 의하여 변화되는 투과도특성을 조사하였다. 측정된 결과를 Fresnel 이론과 1.5% 이내의 오차 범위로 일치함을 알 수 있었고, 자체집광효율이 입사빛의 공간적 모양과 관계함을 확인할 수 있었다.

This essay exams the issues of aesthetic elements that come up when Korean novels get translated into Chinese language. The short story collection titled "An old well" written by Jeong Heui Oh in both languages are compared and analyzed by focusing on the mode of narrations. There are various narrative modes in "An old well". Each narrative mode properly functions for aesthetic effects and drawing meanings. In short, we can find a way to grasp its leitmotif the writer wants to indicate only when we carefully interpret the narrative modes in the original text. However, the narrative modes in Korean text have been simplified by changing its modes into direct narrative in Chinese-translated text. Thus the aesthetic effects in the original text have been spoiled and the Chinese text fails to deliver its meaning involved in the original narrative mode. Translation of novel invites consideration on both of its form and content on account of the text's uniqueness. Accordingly, a close examination and study of the original text should be completed beforehand.
