  • This study is focused on the influence of mixture and construction factor on bleeding amount of concrete According to the results, Amount of bleeding with mixture factor increases with increase of water contents and W/C. Amount of bleeding with construction factors is larger in the case of placing height of 1m than in the case of placing height of 0 and 0.5m. Amount of bleeding is larger at the temperature of 20℃ than at the temperature of 35℃ and 5℃, and increases in order of vibration compacting, standard lamping and non tamping. Therefore, to reduce bleeding, it is thought that it is profitable to reduce water content within the range that fluidity and workability don't go bad, to lower the placing height and not to do compacting too much.

  • This study investigated influence of kind of fine aggregate on fundamental properties of concrete. For the properties of fluidity with various type of fine aggregate, lime stone crushed fine aggregate(Ls) exhibited favorable result, due to grain shape and particle distribution, and next was granite crushed fine aggregate(Gs), natural fine aggregate(Ns). Ns had the highest value of air content while Ls had the lowest, due to the effective filling performance by continuos particle distribution. Ls, Ns, Gs in an order had higher bleeding capacity and faster setting time. However, compressive and tensile strength value exhibited similar tendency, regardless of aggregate type.

  • In this study, the influence of chemical admixture on early strength development of concrete is discussed. According to the results, fluidity with variation of kinds of chemical admixture is lower in the case of acceleration type than in the case of normal type. Setting time of naphthalene acceleration type is shortened by I hour, and that of melamine is nearly same, but that of polycarbonic acid is somewhat retarded in comparison with that of naphthalene normal type. Early compressive strength gains 5MPa in about 18hours regardless of the kinds of chemical admixture. But as time elapses, compressive strength is higher in order of polycarbonic acid, naphthalene and melamine type. The relativity between compressive strength and the rebound value of P-type schmidt hammer is also favorable at early age, and compressive strength of 5MPa is estimated at the rebound value of 22.

  • The purpose of this study reutilization of waste fine tailing (FT) as admixture for cement and concrete. Various admixtures were made of Fine tailings and 2 Types of OPC, fly-ash and blast furnace slag. Cement mortars and concrete with FT are tested for fluidity and compressive strength. Also, the hydration reactivity of cement mortar with FT was examined by XRD and SEM morphology analysis. This work showed that the waste fine tailing could be effectively utilized as replacement materials of cement without any decrease in the strength if we can control the blaine of materials like cement, blast furnace slag and fly ash.

  • The purpose of this study is to reduce autogenous shrinkage of high-strength concrete. Previous studies were investigated to measure the effects of reductions to autogenous shrinkage when applying bean oil to concrete. The results of the study showed that as the mixture rate of BO increased, fluidity decreased and air quantity decreased slightly. In early age, compressed strength increased compared to Plain while decreased in long-term age. As an autogenous shrinkage characteristic, reduction effect increased according to increase in mixture rate. When mixture rate is 1%, approximately 30% decreased compared to Plain in BO. At 2%, BO decreased by about 32%. In addition, in the case of BO, autogenous shrinkage was shown to decrease compared to expansive additive and shrinkage-reducing agent.

  • This study investigates the engineering and fire endurance properties of ultra high strength concrete. The mixture proportions with water to binder ratios (W/B) of 0.15 and 0.25 consist of various adding ratios, such as 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25 and 0.3 percent respectively, of polypropylene (PP) fiber. As for the parameters of specimens, fluidity, compressive strength and unloading fire test were carried out. Test showed that an increase of fiber contents had the favorable properties in fire endurance performance; specimens in W/B 15% required 0.3vol% of PP fiber and specimens in W/B 25% needed only 0.1vol% to prevent spalling.

  • This study is to analyze the properties of concrete according to the types of binders and cement powder and to utilize them as fundamental data for the development of early strength concrete. In the case of fluidity, all of the formulations satisfied the 180±25mm, and the flowability of HSF was decreased by high fineness cement. For the air content, 4.5±1.5% of the total content was satisfied. Compressive strength of HSF was found to satisfy the 5MPa in 2days of aging. In case of 28 days of aging, the strength of HSF was more than 24MPa.
