무인 비행체용 저가의 ADGPS/INS 통합 항법 시스템 (Design of a Low-Cost Attitude Determination GPS/INS Integrated Navigation System for a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle))

  • An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is an aircraft controlled by .emote commands from ground station and/o. pre-programmed onboard autopilot system. A navigation system in the UAV provides a navigation data for a flight control computer(FCC). The FCC requires accurate and reliable position, velocity and attitude information for guidance and control. This paper proposes an ADGPS/INS integrated navigation system for a UAV. The proposed navigation system comprises an attitude determination GPS (ADGPS) receive., a navigation computer unit, and a low-cost commercial MEMS inertial measurement unit(IMU). The navigation algorithm contains a fault detection and isolation (FDI) function fur integrity. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed navigation system, two flight tests were preformed using a small aircraft. The first flight test was carried out to confirm fundamental operation of the proposed navigation system and to check the effectiveness of the FDI algorithm. In the second flight test, the navigation performance and the benefit of the GPS attitude information were checked in a high dynamic environment. The flight test results show that the proposed ADGPS/INS integrated navigation system gives a reliable performance even when anomalous GPS data is provided and better navigation performance than a conventional GPS/INS integration unit.

  • 본 논문에서는 헬기운항안전 향상을 위한 북미대륙의 활동들을 소개하였다. 북미지역에서는 2009년 기준으로 전세계 민간헬기의 49%가 운용되고 있어, 이 지역에서의 헬기 운항안전을 위한 개발동향은 여타 헬기 운용지역에도 상당한 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다. 대규모 헬기가 운용되는 멕시코만의 헬기 운항안전을 위한 개발 사례와 미국 연방항공청(FAA, Federal Aviation Administration)의 NextGen 프로그램 및 국제민간항공기구 (ICAO, International Civil Aviation Organization)의 항공시스템블록업그레이드(ASBU, Aviation System Block Upgrades) 계획 실행을 위한 캐나다 계획 분석을 통해 헬기 관련 인프라 구축 동향 및 향후 헬기 운항안전 증진을 위해 나아갈 바와 기대효과에 대해 정리하였다.

A Legal Study on the Promotion of the In-Flight Security Officers System

  • The purpose of this study is to provide in-flight security in situations where aviation security is constantly threatened by the increase in illegal interference in aircraft and the threat of terrorism that still exists. It is to identify legal operational problems such as education and qualification of the original system and to propose improvement measures. To this end, the need for revision based on relevant laws and guidelines such as "Operation Guidelines for In-Flight Security Officers" is to be discussed based on international standards such as ICAO and Federal Air Marshal. The research method was based on interviews with SEMs such as cabin managers, which focused on ensuring the legal status of In-Flight Security Officer, establishing relationships with captains, and improving education and training.

한국에서의 응급의료헬기 운영과 운항안전 (EMS Helicopter Operation and Flight Safety in Korea)

  • EMSS is the organic system offering quick and efficient transfer and treatment for those who need an emergency service. For EMS aviation operation is the important transportation for the common benefits. There are several types of aviation operation. Among the different types of the operations, helicopter operation is very common because it is free from any locations. Notwithstanding the benefit, various types of EMS helicopter accidents and incidents are occurred because of its poor operation condition. In South Korea, even though so much effort was put to decrease the accidents rates, there are still many accidents happening by fire helicopters and the forest service helicopters. Therefore, in order to regularize the EMSH operation, measures for the aviation safety have to be prepared. This research is, related to the EMSH, focused on the suggestion of safety measure for the EMSH in Korea based on the accidents analysis in various countries.

  • 성층권에 통신중계기를 탑재한 비행선이나 비행기를 띄워서 무선중계시스템을 구축하고, 이 시스템을 광대역 무선 멀티미디어서비스 사업에 활용하는 방안이 추진되고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 성층권 무선중계시스템을 구성하는 플랫폼의 운용개념을 정의하고, 성층권 관제시스템이 갖추어야 할 기능 및 구성요소를 설정하며, 향후 구축될 성층권 관제시스템의 설계를 구체화하기 위한 개념을 제공할 목적으로 수행된 연구의 결과이다.

무인항공기를 위한 최적의 3차원 비행경로 추천 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of an Optimal 3D Flight Path Recommendation System for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)

  • The drone technology, which is receiving a lot of attention due to the 4th industrial revolution, requires an Unmanned Aerial Vehicles'(UAVs) flight path search algorithm for automatic operation and driver assistance. Various studies related to flight path prediction and recommendation algorithms are being actively conducted, and many studies using the A-Star algorithm are typically performed. In this paper, we propose an Optimal 3D Flight Path Recommendation System for unmanned aerial vehicles. The proposed system was implemented and simulated in Unity 3D, and by indicating the meaning of the route using three different colors, such as planned route, the recommended route, and the current route were compared each other. And obstacle response experiments were conducted to cope with bad weather. It is expected that the proposed system will provide an improved user experience compared to the existing system through accurate and real-time adaptive path prediction in a 3D mixed reality environment.

Navigation Performance Analysis Method for Integrated Navigation System of Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

  • Currently, the operation of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is regulated to be able to fly only within the visible range, but in recent years, the needs for operation in the invisible area, in the urban area and at night have increased. In order to operate UAVs in the invisible area, at night, and in the urban area, a flight path for UAVs must be prepared like those operated by manned aircraft, and for this, it is necessary to establish an unmanned aircraft system traffic management (UTM). In order to establish the UTM, information on the minimum separation distance to prevent collisions with UAVs and buildings is required, and accordingly, information on the navigation performance of UAVs is required. In order to analyze the navigation performance of an UAV, total system error (TSE), which is the difference between the planned flight path and the actual location of the UAV, is required. If the collected data are insufficient and classification according to integrity, independence, and direction is not performed, accurate navigation performance is not derived. In this paper, propose a navigation performance analysis method of UAV that is derived TSE using flight data and modeled with normal distribution, analyze performance.

한국의 군용 무인항공기 비행규칙에 관한 법적.제도적 운용 연구 (A Study on the Legal and Institutional Military UAV Rules in Korea)

  • 국토교통부는 현행 항공법 체계 내에서 무인항공기급 비행안전기준 마련을 추진중에 있다. 이에 부응하여 군용항공기 운용 등에 관한 법률에 무인항공기 관련 내용의 보완 검토도 필요하다고 판단된다. 무인항공기 비행규칙은 무인항공기를 운용해야할 공역을 기준으로 적용할 비행원칙과 운용자 위치, 임무운용한계, 구비물품 등을 들 수 있다. 또한 실제 비행에 적용해야 할 규칙으로는 일반비행규칙, 시계비행규칙, 계기비행규칙 등이 요구된다. 그리고 무인항공기체계 운용자 간에 이루어지는 통화, 관제 및 통신사항, 공역 및 구역별 비행 등에 대한 적용규칙 마련도 필요하다고 할 수 있다. 공역에서의 무인항공기 운용은 항공기 성능에 대한 능력을 보장받는 것이 중요하지만 그에 못지않게 필수적으로 요구되어지는 것은 표준화된 비행기준이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 비행규칙과 공역에 대한 관리기준을 공역사용자가 모두 숙지하고 비행에 적합하게 적용하여야만 안전하고 원활한 비행운용이 가능하다. 본 논문은 표준화된 비행규칙과 법률의 보완을 위해 연구하였다.

Cause Analysis and Improvement of Signal Interference in Byteflight Data Bus

  • Byteflight is developed based on RS-485 communication (an international standard), and it can be used as a data bus during the operation of an integrated avionics system in the latest aircraft. Therefore, the integrated avionics system can perform an effective and safe flight mission only when the accurate and seamless display of flight information, communication, and accurate functions of navigation are implemented. In this study, cause analysis and failure investigation were performed on screen abnormalities and communication interruptions due to signal interference in the Byteflight data bus of the integrated avionics system during aircraft operation. To improve signal interference between avionics units, the branch point and wiring path of the Byteflight data bus were changed, and the verification result of the improved method was also described.

  • 본 논문에서는 유무인 협업을 위한 유인회전익기에 의한 다수 무인기 운용통제기술의 요구도 검증을 위한 통합검증환경의 요구도 분석, 구현 및 검증에 대해 기술하였다. 통합검증환경은 유인회전익기 비행 모의, 무인항공기 비행 및 임무장비 모의, 무인항공기 제어 및 유인회전익기와의 통제권 변경을 위한 지상통제장비 모의, 유인회전익기 및 무인항공기 임무계획 작성 및 전송을 위한 운용통제장비 모의로 구성된다. 각각 구현된 구성품들은 소프트웨어/하드웨어 통합시험을 통해 요구도를 검증하였다.
