MMORPG 트래픽의 분산을 위한 CBT/Anycast 라우팅 전략 (CBT/Anycast Routing Strategy for The Distribution of MMORPG Traffic)

  • 인터넷의 확장과 고속망에도 불구하고 MMORPG와 같이 대용량 멀티미디어 서비스의 요구수준은 통신 기반구조 이상을 요구하기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 MMORPG 트래픽에 대응하여 멀티캐스트 프로토콜인 CBT를 분석하고, 코어라우터의 병목현상 발생시 Anycast로의 전환을 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션 모델에서는 멀티캐스트 그룹 수와 멤버 수를 설정하고 Anycast 라우팅의 종단간 게임팻킷 지연시간을 측정하였으며 CBT 및 PIM-DM 비교하였다. 결과적으로, 128바이트, 512바이트, 1K 바이트의 게임 패킷에 대하여 Anycast 라우팅은 각각 PIM-DM 대비 8.7%, 25.5%, 34.0%와 CBT 대비 38.6%, 51.8%, 56.6%의 평균지연시간 개선을 보였다. CBT/Anycast 전략은 MMORPG트래픽의 지연특성 개선으로 안정적인 서비스가 가능하다.

FTS 장치를 이용한 가스 차단막용 SiOx 및 SiOxNy 박막의 공정특성 (Process Characteristics of SiOx and SiOxNy Films on a Gas Barrier Layer using Facing Target Sputtering (FTS) System)

  • In this study, the influences of silicon-based gas barrier films fabricated by using a facing target sputtering(FTS) system on the gas permeability for flexible displays have been investigated. Under these optimum conditions on the $SiO_x$ film with oxygen concentration($O_2/Ar+O_2$) of 3.3% and the $SiO_xN_y$ film with nitrogen concentration($N_2/Ar+O_2+N_2$) of 30% deposited by the FTS system, it was found that the films were grown about 4 times higher deposition rate than that of the conventional sputtering system and showed high transmittance about 85% in the visible light range. Particularly, the polyethylene naphthalate(PEN) substrates with the $SiO_x$ and/or $SiO_xN_y$ films showed the enhanced properties of decreased water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) over $10^{-1}\;g/m^2{\cdot}day$ compared with the PEN substrate without any gas barrier films, which was due to high packing density in the Si-based films with high plasma density by FTS process and/or the denser chemical structure of Si-N bond in the $SiO_xN_y$ film.

  • Mobile multi-hop relaying (MMR) technology is being considered as a promising solution capable to enhance coverage, user throughput, and system capacity of the current wired backbone dependent wireless access networks. Since the relaying nodes do not need a wired backbone access, MMR technology offers easy and low-cost deployment, flexible cell planning, and adaptive traffic handling performance. In this paper, we investigate performance and cost effectiveness of the MMR technology deployment in the IEEE802.16j based WiBro/WiMAX systems. We first introduce standardization activities and research issues of MMR WiBro/ WiMAX systems. Since the coverage extension problem may occur in metropolitan areas as well as suburban or rural areas where user density is relatively low or moderate, we introduce several MMR topologies and analyze cost-effectiveness of MMR based coverage extension with respect to the user traffic density. Then, we argue cost effect on MMR technology deployment and throughput performance, Finally, we introduce further study issues including sectorized base station based MMR deployment approaches and the single and multi-frame structure MMR approaches.

  • 멀티미디어, 이동 컴퓨팅 등 최근 등장하고 있는 새로운 기술들은 이기종 환경에서의 보다 유연한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 높은 적응성을 지원하는 미들웨어 플랫폼을 요구하고 있다. 분산 유무선 환경에서 높은 서비스 품질을 제공하기 위해서는, 응용 프로그램과 미들웨어가 사용자 요구사항의 변화 뿐만 아니라 환경의 상태 변화를 인지해야 할 필요가 있으며 변화에 따라 시스템 동작을 적응시킬 수 있어야 한다. 이러한 미들웨어에서의 적응성 지원 요구에 따라, 본 논문에서는 리플렉션(Reflection) 기법을 적용하여 컴포넌트 기반의 이동 에이전트 프레임워크를 베이스 레벨(base level)과 메타 레벨(meta level)로 구조화하고 이동 에이전트에 의해 발생하는 변경 사항을 시스템에 반영할 수 있도록 하는 메타 에이전트(meta agent) 및 메타-서비스 에이전트(meta-service agent)를 제안한다. 프레임워크의 메타 레벨에서 메타 에이전트는 이동 에이전트의 실행을 감시하며, 메타 에이전트와 메타-서비스 에이전트를 통해 동적인 사용자 요구 사항 반영 및 응용 서비스 배치, 서비스 맞춤 구성을 제공할 수 있다.

어린이도서관 좌식 열람실의 공간 구성 특성 (A Study on the Characteristics of Floor-sitting Reading Room in Children's Libraries)

  • As the number of children's libraries has increased in Korea, it has been discussed to improve the quality of design in the libraries. In a reading room of children's library, spatial consideration should be focused on the children under 10 years old since they are in important points to learn Hangul and to develop reading habits. This study is aimed to examine the characteristics of a floor-sitting reading room, where children can feel like a home, stay in clean and safe and play while reading. The seven case studies of floor-sitting reading rooms are analyzed from the viewpoint of each factor of physical environment, including structure, furniture, and decoration. The following is the summary of findings of this study. First, floor-sitting reading rooms tend to compose main reading areas around bookshelves. Reading areas create the characters by changing floor levels and arranging furniture associated with windows, columns, and wall-type bookshelves. In the reading areas, movable low-level tables are frequently placed for flexible space uses, and seats for reading tend to put together with fixed bookshelves. Second, the central areas of the reading rooms are often shaped in the forms of pods, storytelling areas, sculptures, and unique furniture. Especially storytelling areas and pods play the cores of the reading rooms with the varying steps of floors and pictorial graphics on walls. Third, decoration elements in the reading rooms are designed with graphics, visual displays, and sculptural decorations. In my case studies, spatial elements such as reading nooks, attics, tunnels, and shelters are not often found in the floor-sitting reading rooms even though children like to have them. Since it is the advantage of floor-sitting reading rooms where children can take off shoes and act freely, we should look for the design of such spatial elements in the floor-sitting reading rooms.

한·중·일의 대문경계를 통해서 본 타자에 대한 환대 특성 연구 - 레비나스의 타자윤리적 측면을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Characteristics of Hospitality through Limits of the Front Gate in Korea, China and Japan - Focused on Levinas' Ethical Theory -)

  • Just as the front gate is located at the meeting point between the house and the street, the Subject and the Other face each other the same way. This study examines the relationship between House(subject) and Stree (other) at the boundary of the Front Gate-Face. Pursuing the aspects of the changing Front Gate-Face accordingly to the attitude of the Subject facing the Other, this study tries to analyze the possibilities and significance of the hospitality Front Gate-Face with the ethical point of view of Levinas. As architectural instance, results of examining the Front Gate-Face of traditional houses in Korea, China and Japan are as follows. Front Gate-Face of China is characterized by self-centered introversion to interact with the external world (the other). Front Gate-Face of Japan is characterized by a humble submission to the group. Front Gate-Face of Korea shows however more flexible relationship orientations in terms of hospitality, compared to Japan or China. When looking through hospitality factors, accordingly to the above mentioned Korean hospitality characteristics, the possibilities seem not be exclusively bordered inside the conceptual category perimeter suggested by Levinas' concept of hospitality. It is almost impossible for the nowadays ever-strong privacy culture to not allow room for the architectural structure of an absolute hospitality toward others. However, this impossibility not being absolute, still yields a space for a significant possibility to explore.

LED 디스플레이용 유연 보드의 자동 펀칭 시스템 연구 (Study on an Automatic Punching System for a LED Display using Flexible Plates)

  • 본 논문에서는 플라스틱 평판에 핀 홀을 생성하여 문자나 이미지를 표현하는 디스플레이 보드를 자동으로 제작하는 펀칭시스템을 개발하였다. 핀 홀을 생성한 평판은 가장자리에 설치한 다양한 색상의 발광다이오드 빛을 반사하여 미려한 디스플레이 보드에 사용된다. 펀칭시스템은 정밀한 위치 및 깊이 생성을 위해 총 4개의 엑추에이터를 사용하였다. 디스플레이 보드 상의 글자나 이미지의 반사효과와 빠른 생산성을 위하여 정밀한 구동 기구부를 개발하고 PID 제어 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 그리고 사용자가 반사되는 글자의 모양이나 이미지를 구성하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 GUI 프로그램과 PC기반의 제어시스템을 구성하였다. 또한 펀칭속도와 생성된 핀 홀의 깊이를 검사하여 본 시스템의 성능을 검증하였다.

실시간 시뮬레이터 환경에서 항공기 데이터베이스 적용을 위한 DIP 개발 및 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development and Validation of DIP to Application of Aircraft Database in Rea- Time Simulator Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 항공기 데이터베이스를 효율적으로 사용하여 시뮬레이션 기능을 향상시키기 위한 DIP(Database Interface Program)의 설계, 개발 및 평가 결과를 제시한다. 주요 설계 관점은 계산 과정에서 시간 지연의 최소화, 메모리 적재 공간의 효율성, 데이터의 연속성 및 신뢰성을 고려하여 내삽 및 외삽과 같은 다양한 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 설계된 DIP를 비실시간 환경 및 Solaris 환경의 실시간 시뮬레이터에 적용하여 최종적으로 평가하였다. 비실시간 평가 환경에서 트림(trim) 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 수행속도와 데이터의 정확도를 평가하였으며, 실시간 환경에서는 대표적인 비행영역에서 여러 가지 기동(maneuver)을 수행하여 데이터의 신뢰성 및 비행능력을 평가하였다. 평가결과, 계산 속도와 데이터 정확도는 개발요구도를 만족할 수 있었으며, 비행능력은 실시간 시뮬레이터 환경에서의 개발요구도를 만족할 수 있었다.

Electrical Properties of Metal-Oxide Quantum dot Hybrid Resistance Memory after 0.2-MeV-electron Beam Irradiation

  • The resistance switching memory devices have several advantages to take breakthrough for the limitation of operation speed, retention, and device scale. Especially, the metal-oxide materials such as ZnO are able to fabricate on the flexible and visible transparent plastic substrate. Also, the quantum dots (QDs) embedded in dielectric layer could be improve the ratio between the low and the high resistance becauseof their Coulomb blockade, carrier trap and induced filament path formation. In this study, we irradiated 0.2-MeV-electron beam on the ZnO/QDs/ZnO structure to control the defect and oxygen vacancy of ZnO layer. The metal-oxide QDs embedded in ZnO layer on Pt/glass substrate were fabricated for a memory device and evaluated electrical properties after 0.2-MeV-electron beam irradiations. To formation bottom electrode, the Pt layer (200 nm) was deposited on the glass substrate by direct current sputter. The ZnO layer (100 nm) was deposited by ultra-high vacuum radio frequency sputter at base pressure $1{\times}10^{-10}$ Torr. And then, the metal-oxide QDs on the ZnO layer were created by thermal annealing. Finally, the ZnO layer (100 nm) also was deposited by ultra-high vacuum sputter. Before the formation top electrode, 0.2 MeV liner accelerated electron beams with flux of $1{\times}10^{13}$ and $10^{14}$ electrons/$cm^2$ were irradiated. We will discuss the electrical properties and the physical relationships among the irradiation condition, the dislocation density and mechanism of resistive switching in the hybrid memory device.

리퀴드 스페이스에 대한 들뢰즈의 타자의 기하학적 해석 - 2000년도 이후 발표된 작품을 중심으로 - (An Interpretation of Deleuze's Other Geometry in Terms of Liquid Space - Focused on Works Published since 2000 -)

  • Through advanced computer technology, our physical environment became a flexible and liquid space that is a multi-functional space structure, hetero-alliance, formless, interactivity. We attempt to interpretate Deleuze's Other geometry as a space designer. Hence first, the aim of this study is to define the meaning of the Other and Other geometry. Second, to extract keywords out of the Other geometry to analyze the work. Third, to analyze the work using the space formative languages(blob, blurring, distortion, folding, layering, lightness, nesting, repetition, shear, transparency, twisting, unfolding, warping, waving, and weaving). The 13 works were selected which have been issued after year 2000 with the focus on liquid space studies. The methods of this study are literature research and contents analysis. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the source is the Other who is a hidden potentials in the surrounding environment, and this source has the capability of making it part of reality anytime. Other geometry means it is a theory that is comprised of various lines that with the kind of experiences that one has in life. Second, the key words that were extracted from the theory of Deleuze's Other geometry were of (1)hetero-alliance(reflected in a sculptured shape or a fluid abstract form), (2)dis-form(by speculating the user's movements, and combining space elements with external forces), (3)interactivity (information was exchanged real time between the user and his environment where the space took on a sensory institution). Finally, after studying the works using the space formative languages, we found that blob, warping, waving were used externally, and repetition, warping and waving for mostly used internally.
