  • In this work, Self-adaptive Differential Evolutionary (SaDE) algorithm is proposed to solve Optimal Location and Size of Capacitor (OLSC) problem in radial distribution networks. To obtain the SaDE algorithm, two improvements have been applied on control parameters of mutation and crossover operators. To expand the study, three load conditions have been considered, i.e., constant, varying and effective loads. Objective function is introduced for the load conditions. The annual cost is fitness of problem, in addition to this cost, CPU time, voltage profile, active power loss and total installed capacitor banks and their related costs have been used for comparisons. To confirm the ability of each improvements of SaDE, the improvements are studied both in separate and simultaneous conditions. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, it is tested on IEEE 10-bus and 34-bus radial distribution networks and compared with other approaches.

  • The policy regarding school sport club participation that was implemented in 2007 to mitigate reductions in fitness has been reported to be satisfactory at improving the physical, mental, and social health of elementary, middle, and high school students by the students as well as by their teachers and parents. The purpose of this systematic review is to investigate the association between participation in school sport club and character-building among adolescents in Korea, and to provide evidence to inform physical education policies in the future. Using "School Sport Club" as the key word, the Korean electronic databases were searched, and this systematic review included a total of 13 articles. School sport club participation among school students is closely correlated to character-building, prevention of school violence, attitude towards life and attitude toward education. The findings of this study support the Ministry of Education's new policy (2015) to extend and expand school sport club participation and highlights the importance of physical activity.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics and the current condition of musculoskeletal pain sufferers among fitness center users. The investigation used self-reporting questionnaire with the 797 subjects. On average, the subjects were 30.6 years old, 168.8 cm in height and 65.2 kg in weight. Among them, 423 were male (53.1%) and 374 were female (46.9%). Out of them, 276 suffered from pain, (35.2%). More men felt muscle aches than women (p<.05). In terms of pain, lower back area topped the list with 44.9%, followed by the lower extremities (30.1%), the neck (17.8%) and the upper part of the body (17.8%). Dieters suffered the most from pain (86.2%) while those exercising to build strength suffered the least with 26.8%. There was a significant relationship between the purpose for exercising and the amount of pain suffered (p<.05). By kind of exercise, pain stroke aerobic exercisers disproportionately with 42.4% while it almost steered clear of exercisers for strengthening with 26.9%. There was significant relationship between the kind of exercise and pain suffered (p<.05). The type of suffering differed by body shape. A significantly higher number of overweight people experienced pain than underweight people (p<.05). 32.8% of pain sufferers commented that the pain affects their workout, and on this issue there was no gender difference (p>.05). The pain caused more difficulties in doing activities of daily living for overweight or obese peoples than underweight peoples (p<.05). More than a third of health club and fitness center users are experiencing musculoskeletal pains. Measures such as professional training or information provision is required to prevent injury or disorder caused by improper exercise.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a caddie education program that can improve the performance of golf caddies in China by comparing and analyzing the golf caddie education programs in South Korea and China. Caddie education programs were collected from 4 golf clubs, 3 professional caddie education institutions and 8 public institutions in South Korea and 6 golf clubs and 2 professional caddie education institutions in China. The following results were obtained. Although the caddie training in China is conducted over more time and term than in South Korea, it is necessary to have an education program considering golf expertise and quality of customer service. Therefore, the caddie education program in China is composed of golf related education(golf etiquette, golf practice skill), caddie duty training(safety management, customer service and image making), and training for caddie(fitness management, injury prevention, skin care, and cost-saving etc.). In the future, the Chinese golf club industry will has a potential to develop. In order to provide a consistent and systematic education, manual training on caddie education and training on caddie master to manage caddies should be conducted.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to decide the additional edges in order to integrate two communitites A,B($${\mid}A{\mid}{\geq_-}{\mid}B{\mid}$$, ${\mid}{\cdot}{\mid}$ is the size of the set). The proposed algorithm uses a fitness function that shows the property of a community and the fitness function is defined by the number of edges which exist in the community and connect two nodes, one is in the community and the other is out of the community. The community has a strong property when the function has a large value. The proposed algorithm is a kind of greedy method and when a node of B is merged to A, the minimum number of additional edges is decided to increase the fitness function value of A. After determining the number of additional edges, we define the community connectivity measures using the node centrality to determine the edges locations. The connections of the new edges are fixed to maximize the connectivity measure of the combined community. The procedure is applied for all nodes in B to integrate A and B. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is shown by solving the Zachary Karate Club network.
