A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of Linear Stepping Motor using FEM and ACSL (유한요소법과 ACSL을 이용한 Linear Stepping Motor의 진동특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the vibration characteristics of a linear stepping motor(LSM) are analyzed using the finite element method(FEM : Flux2D) and ACSL. A magnetic equivalent circuit is based on the structure of the LSM, and then the electric equivalent circuit of the LSM is derived by solving equations for the magnetic equivalent circuit. A normal force is calculated using FEM. And the vibration characteristics of the LSM are simulated by the ACSL with the voltage equations, the thrust equations, the normal force equations and the kinetic equations, and are measured by LASER experimental system.

  • Thanks to the recent development of computing technology, the various forms of high-performance computers are available. Among them, the parallel-clustering CPU machines are realized for the high performance computing. These supercomputers (cluster computers) can be applied to various industries due to the advantages of lower price. Especially in the field of numerical flow simulation, use of supercomputers can produce results quickly, and various engineering problems can be reviewed effectively case by case. In this paper, an application of supercomputers (cluster computers) were examined for railroad industry of fire flow simulation by using parallel computational method. It make sure that the supercomputers are very useful tools for railroad engineering.

  • Organizational citizenship behavior refers to the behavior of faithfully performing one's duties and being faithful to other roles. Firefighters' awareness of organizational citizenship behavior is closely related to national and individual safety and is very important. The smooth communication and cooperative attitude of fire department employees means organic unity at the disaster site. The purpose of this study was to analyze the awareness of organizational citizenship behavior among firefighters. As a result of analyzing the overall level of organizational citizenship behavior of firefighters, the average score was 3.83 points (out of 5). In particular, significant implications emerged regarding work-related appointment times and words and actions between co-workers. In the future, we hope that firefighting policy authorities will make a lot of efforts and academic research by subsequent generations will be conducted to make firefighting more trustworthy to the public.

A Study on the Thermal Characteristics and Fire Hazard of Iron Powder Accumulated on Circuit Break (차단기 누적 철분진의 열적특성과 발화위험성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the thermal characteristics and to study fire hazard of electric leakage by iron power accumulated on circuit breaker in an iron processing factory. The thermal characteristics were analyzed while current was applied to the powder for ten minutes. Results showed that temperature of iron powder at 100 mA is $160^{\circ}C$ and at 175mA is $240^{\circ}C$. The sparks have occurred as iron powder drops between two(hot line and neutral line) wires and then iron powder explosion occurred while dropping continuously the iron powder on two lines. Those who work in the iron processing industry need to periodically remove and maintain the iron powder. The thermal characteristics in this paper can be used for electrical fire investigation and for basic data of thermal characteristic of leakage current through iron powder at iron processing factories.

  • A lot of fire and crime accidents are caused to a significant national loss. For example, the network and power facilities in national industry facilities, the fire risk region in large scale factories such as nuclear and thermal power plants, large-sized buildings, cultural properties, metal and steel mills, chemical plants, oil refineries. The development of a fire detection system that can detects the temperature and movement of objects as high-level quality is essential to prevent these incidents and accidents fundamentally. In this paper, the fire detection system based on infrared thermal imaging & CCD camera id designed to solve these problems.

An Evaluation of Flame and Fire Retardant Performance for Welding Blanket (용접 불티 차단막의 방염 및 난연성능 평가)

  • This study was undertaken to evaluate the performance of flame retardant for fire precaution from sparks at welding-cutting process in industry sites such as shipbuilding yard and chemical factory. As the results of the performance experiment, six kinds of welding blanket in samples that are used commercially had enough in the performance of flame retardant. Nevertheless, the performance to fire precaution un welding blanket shows that the coaling product of two kinds with fiber glass is not sufficient. The lower oxygen index to welding blanket is considered that it is more than 30 in domestic standard. We suggested that the performance improvement of flame retardant for welding blanket need continuously, and the guideline of the flame retardant to welding blanket should be considered and established.

  • 21C, Multiplex Cinema Theater is made from movie industry developed and become a place where we can spend our free time and consuming. But, theater users, who are many and unspecified persons, are short of information on the Multiplex Cinema Theater, so that they may be injured or killed at the occurrence of fire accident. Particularly, Multiplex Cinema Theater is a place that underground space or top floor in highrise building had many people in theaters. However, this problem is difficult to solve that to protect human being and properties at the occurrence of fire accident in the Multiplex Cinema Theater, In order to overcome such problems, Multiplex Cinema Theater need fire protection solutions facilities concerning particulars to pay attention to the safety on a fire and evacuation. This study analysed Multiplex Cinema Theater concept and computer simulation for risk point.

  • In the national economy, rate of service industry is going up to compare with manufacture industry. In spite of getting lots of results to be introduced 6 sigma methodology in Korea, many service companies is suffering with trial and errors. Also 6 sigma isn't settled perfect yet. The reason for that, 6 sigma have been applied to various service without considering. Therefore, this research shows to you right practice plans for service industrial classification to check structural features and difference. So this research seeks methods for revitalization of 6 sigma methodology in service industry after checking existed research, case study for companies to be applied by 6 sigma. As the result, service industry is forecasted to contribute greatly in economic growth and employment enlargement through enlargement of service role in manufacturing industry production as well as by itself.

Measurement of the Device Properties of Photoelectric Smoke Detector for the Fire Modeling (화재모델링을 위한 광전식 연기감지기의 장치물성 측정)

  • The high predictive performance of fire detector models is essentially required for the reliable design of evacuation safety using the fire modeling. The main objective of the present study is to measure input information in order to predict the accurate activation time of photoelectric smoke detector adopted in fire dynamics simulator (FDS) recognized a representative fire model. To end this, the fire detector evaluator (FDE) which could be measured the device properties of detector was used, and the input information of Heskestad and Cleary's models was obtained for a spot-type photoelectric smoke detector. In addition, the activation times of smoke detector predicted using default values into FDS and measured values in the present study were quantitatively compared. As a result, the Heskestad model could result in an inaccurate the activation time of photoelectric smoke detector compared to the Cleary model. In addition, there was a distinct difference between the default values used into FDS and the measured values in terms of device properties of smoke detector, and thus the activation time also showed a significant difference.

A study on the fire resistance characteristics of mud flat mortar (갯벌모르타르의 내화성능에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • As urbanization progressed along with quantitative expansion of the construction industry, concrete has developed diversely as a material that is the most extensively used in the construction industry. However, aggregate resources that are an essential element of concrete production are gradually being depleted and the phenomenon of aggregate shortage has been intensifying due to the reinforcement of regulations on environmental issues. Therefore, in the present study, environment friendly mortar was made by replacing aggregate with mud that is dumped when dredging sand is dumped. To identify the dynamic characteristics of the mortar and to identify its fire resistance efficiency, the mortar was heated and its residual compressive strength was measured. In the results, the residual compressive strength values of MM1, MM2, and MM3 were 45%, 95%, and 57.7% respectively and the mix MM2 showed the highest fire resistance efficiency.
