지하복합발전플랜트 내의 가스 누출 및 확산에 의한 위험성 평가 인자 분석 (Analysis of Risk Assessment Factors for Gas leakage and Dispersion in Underground Power Plant)

  • Gas leakage and dispersion in the underground LNG power plant can lead to serious fire and explosion accident. In this study, computational fluid dynamics simulation was applied to model the dynamic process of gas leakage and dispersion phenomena in a closed space. To analyze the risk assessment factor, such as the flammable volume ratio, transient simulations were carried out for different scenarios. The simulation results visualized the gas distribution with time in the closed space. The flammable volume ratio was introduced for quantitative analysis the fire/explosion probability.

  • The construction of modern society, the use of high-strength concrete structures is becoming frequent. Admixture has been reported as a factor causing the explosion occurred. This study was experimental research on high strength concrete according to the kinds of admixture. Admixture of four different mix. fire resistance test results are outstanding when using blast furnace slag aggregate. When using silica fume spalling phenomena were most violent.

식료품 분진의 발화 및 폭발 위험성 (Hazards of Explosion and Ignition of Foods Dust)

  • 식료품 가공 산업에서 분진폭발사고가 자주 발생하고 있으며 배관이나 장치 내의 화염전파에 의한 폭발피해가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 다양한 분체특성으로 인하여 활용 가능한 화재폭발특성자료가 적다는 문제가 있다. 사고발생 빈도가 높고 사회적 수요가 많은 설탕, 옥수수, 밀가루의 발화 위험성과 폭발특성을 실험적으로 조사하였다. 설탕, 옥수수, 밀가루 분진의 평균입경은 27.56, 14.76, $138.5{\mu}m$로 나타났으며 이러한 분체조건에서 열중량분석(TGA) 및 시차주사열량계(DSC)를 사용하여 발화온도를 조사하였다. 최대폭발압력($P_m$) 및 폭발지수는($K_{st}$) 각각 7.6, 7.6, 6.1 bar 및 153, 133, 61 [$m{\cdot}bar/s$]로서 분진폭발 위험성은 설탕이 가장 높고 밀가루가 가장 작았다. 또한 분진폭발 시의 화염전파로 인한 피해확대 위험성을 평가하기 위하여 분진화염전파의 소요시간을 계산하였으며 화염전파로 인한 폭발피해 위험성은 설탕, 밀가루, 옥수수 분진의 순으로 높았다.

  • Electric vehicle fires in underground parking lots are very dangerous, but it is judged that the current related laws and regulations do not change, which will cause problems. As a result of the analysis for the purpose of providing an electric vehicle in an underground parking lot, fire-resistance coating is essential as it can cause an explosion in the building members made of high-strength concrete when an electric vehicle fire occurs in an underground parking lot. Since a fire occurs, it is necessary to prevent electric vehicles from parking adjacent to each other.

시내버스용 HCNG 고압가스 충전소의 폭발 위험성 해석 (Risk Assessment of High Pressure HCNG Refueling Station Explosion by Numerical Simulation)

  • This study has been conducted for evaluation of qualitative/quantitative risk of HCNG filling station. In case of fire explosion occurred because of hydrogen, CNG, and HCNG leaking on same conditions, maximum overpressure was measured as 30kPa for hydrogen, 3.5kPa for HCNG, and 0.4kPa for CNG. The overpressure of HCNG was measured 7.75 times higher than that of CNG, but it was only 11.7% compared with hydrogen. When the explosion was occurred, in case of hydrogen, the measured influential distance of overpressure was 59m and radiant heat was 75m. In case of CNG, influential distance of overpressure was 89m and radiant heat was 144m would be estimated. In case of 30% HCNG that was blended with hydrogen and CNG, influential distance of overpressure was 81m and radiant heat was 130m were measured. As the explosion occurred with the same sized container that had 350bar for hydrogen and 250bar of CNG and HCNG, the damage distance that explosive overpressure and radiant heat influenced CNG was seen as the highest. HCNG that was placed between CNG and hydrogen tended to be seen as more similar with CNG.

  • BLEVE로 인한 위험을 평가하기 위한 프로그램, BLEVE ESTIMATOR를 이용하여 온도에 따른 폭발량과 Flashing mass를 계산하였고, 부천 가스충전소의 사고를 모델로 피해를 예측하였으며, 상용프로그램인 Dupont의 SAFER 프로그램과 비교하였다. 폭발량과 Flashing mass는 폭발온도의 증가에 따라 지수함수로 증가하였으며, Propane이 n-Butane보다 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 용기의 온도, 압력, 충전비가 높을수록 Overpressure가 높게 나타났다.

  • Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide의 분해폭발로 인한 폭발의 위험성을 평가하기 위하여 소형압력용기 시험기(MCPVT)를 사용하여 실험을 하였다. 그 결과 최대폭발 압력은 MEKPO와 MEKPO에 $98\%H_2SO_4$의 첨가량이 $1\%,\;3\%$$5\%$로 증가할 수록 증가하였으며, 최대폭발압력상승 속도도 증가하였다. 또한 분해개시 압력하에서의 온도는 $H_2SO_4$의 첨가량이 증가할수록 $168.16^{\circ}C,\;126.76^{\circ}C,\;91.21^{\circ}C$$81.25^{\circ}C$로 낮아졌다.

철도종사자의 사회 재난 적응 경험: 1977년 이리역 폭발 사고를 중심으로 (Social Disaster Adaptation Experiences of Railroad Workers: Focused on the Iri Station Explosion of 1977)

  • Purpose: The Iri station explosion that occurred in 1977 was a major social disaster in Korea, caused by a fire in a train equipped with explosives. The purpose of this study was to investigate the social disaster adaptation experiences of railroad workers. Methods: This study was based on qualitative research using phenomenological methodology. Participants were six railroad workers who experienced the Iri station explosion. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with individual workers from March to June, 2018. The data analysis method was based on Colaizzi's approach. Results: Experiences of railroad workers were categorized into 12 themes and the following 6 theme clusters: (1) Anxiety due to the extreme vibration and crash, (2) Terror regarding the horrible situation that one cannot face, (3) Anger about the cause of the explosion and a sense of relief about survival, (4) Confusion regarding different rumors, (5) Various efforts to return to daily life, and (6) Trauma that continues to exist. Conclusion: The findings of this study recommend that railroad organizations and managers should pay attention to enhance disaster preparedness and develop organizational disaster coping guidelines for members. The results of this study can help us to better understand the various aspects of the Iri station explosion of 1977.
