  • This paper presents a digital control solution to process capacitor current feedback of high performance single-phase UPS for non-linear loads. In all UPS the goal is to maintain the desired output voltage waveform and RMS value over all unknown load conditions and transient response. The proposed UPS uses instantaneous load voltage and filter capacitor current feedback, which is based on the double regulation loop such as the outer voltage control loop and inner current control loop. The proposed DSP-based digital-controlled PWM inverter system has fast dynamic response and low total harmonic distortion (THD) for nonlinear load. The control system was implemented on a 32bit Floating-point DSP controller TMS320C32 and tested on a 5[KVA] IGBT based inverter switching at 11[Khz]. The validity of the proposed scheme is investigated through simulation and experimental results.

  • A company needs to maintain its machines always workable in order to keep the manufacturing time minimal. If any troubles occur, they should be fixed as soon as possible. But, the complexity of modern machines make the trouble shooting difficult. So, it is important that the monitoring system for automated production system to fix every trobule easily. In this paper new, inverter control system for TG feedback a formula Control was developed. The motor control system with TG feedback controller as an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. The function of the implementation are 7G feedback type, and temperature scheme. The Inverter Control System approach is based on master-slave control concept. To show validity of the developed new inverter control system, severial experiments are illustrated.

  • Recently microcomputers have come into wide use in the field of control. They are used not only as monitors and or controllers in various plant control systems but also for Computer Aided Design of control systems. In this paper, authors propose a method to design the reduced order observers for the higher order systems and have digital simulation of time responses of the optimal state feedback control system using the maximum principle. And the real time optimal state feedback control system for the third order plant which is realized by an anolog computer is constructed by means of a microcomputer, A/D converter and D/A converter. Time responses of the real time control system are compared with those obtained by the digital simulation and their well coincedence is confirmed.

  • This paper presents the road simulator control technology for reproducing the road input signal to implement the real road data. The simulator consists of the hydraulic pump, servo valve, hydraulic actuator and its control equipment. The QFT(Quantitative Feedback Theory) is utilized to control the simulator effectively. The control system illustrates a tracking performance of the closed-loop controller with low order transfer function G(s) and pre-filter F(s) for a parametric uncertain model. A force controller is designed to communicate the control signal between simulator and digital controller. Tracking specification is satisfied with upper and lower bound tolerances on the steep response of the system to the reference signal. The efficacy of the QFT force controller is verified through the numerical simulation, in which combined dynamics and actuation of the hydraulic servo system are tested. The simulation results show that the proposed control technique works well under uncertain hydraulic plant system. The conventional software (Labview) is used to make up for the real controller in the real-time basis, and the experimental works show that the proposed algorithm works well for a single road simulator.

  • A digital state feedback control method for the current mode control of DC-DC converters is proposed in this paper. This approach can precisely achieve interleaved current sharing among the converter modules. As the controller design and system analysis are performed in the time domain, the proposed method can easily satisfy the required converter specification by using the pole placement technique. The digital state feedback controller in the continuous and discrete time domain is derived for the robust tracking control. For the verification of the proposed control scheme, a parallel module bi-directional converter in a prototype 42V/14V hybrid automotive power system, which is a design example in the continuous time domain, and a parallel module buck converter, which is a design example in the discrete time domain, are implemented using a TMS320F2812 digital signal processor (DSP).

  • This paper introduces feedback linearization (FL) based adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) effective against ground effects of the quadrotor UAV. The proposed control has the capability of estimation and effective rejection of those effects by adaptive mechanism, which resulting stable attitude and positioning of the quadrotor. As output variables of quadrotor, x-y-z position and yaw angle are chosen. Dynamic extension of the quadrotor dynamics is obtained for terms of roll and pitch control input to be appeared explicitly in x-y-z dynamics, and then linear feedback control including a ground effect is designed. A sliding mode control (SMC) is designed with a class of FL including higher derivative terms, sliding surfaces for which is designed as a class of integral type of resulting closed loop dynamics. The asymptotic stability of the overall system was assured, based on Lyapunov stability methods. It was evaluated through some simulation that attitude control capability is stable under excessive estimation error for unknown ground effect and initial attitude of roll, pitch, and yaw angle of $30^{\circ}$ in all. Effectiveness of the proposed method was shown for quadrotor system with ground effects.

  • This paper presents a system modeling, controller design and implementation for a rotational inverted pendulum system (RIPS), which is an under-actuated system and has the problem of unattainable velocity state. Two control strategies are applied to the RIPS. One is a sliding mode control method using the parameterization of both the hyperplane and the compensator for output feedback. The other is the disturbance observer which estimates disturbance and some modeling errors of RIPS with less computational effort. Some simulations and various kinds of experiments are performed in order to verify that the proposed controller has the ability to control RIPS whose velocity is assumed to be unavailable. The results of the simulations and experiments show that the proposed control system has superior performance for disturbance rejection and regulation at certain initial conditions as well as the robustness to model uncertainties.

  • This paper proposes a mechanism for managing overload in real-time web service system. The many previous mechanisms manage overload with controlling web request. These mechanisms can control only new web request. They don't have any control existing tasks, especially periodic tasks. We design a controller that able to meet real-time performance with controlling even periodic tasks. A feedback control system is implemented applying the proposed mechanism. And we verified the stable operation of system.

  • Various auto-tuning methods using relay feedback are presented recently. They are composed of the consecutive procedures identifying Nyquist critical point using relay feedback and designing PID controller by one point of Nyquist plot mapping. This paper suggests a strategy to get the knowledges of Nyquist critical point and the neighborhood point of it using relay feedback. The parameters of PID controller are established by dominant pole approximation based on these knowledges. Designers can make use of the damping ratio as a time domain specification. So design flexibilities are taken in view of stability and performance of the system response considering practical system condition.

  • The Output feedback linear quadratic regulator control is applied to the design of active suspension system using 7 DOF full car model. The performance index reflects the vehicle vertical movement, pitch and roll motion, and minimization of suspension stroke displacements in the rattle space. The elements of gain matrix are approximately decoupled so that each suspension requires only local information to generate the control force. The simulation results indicates that the output feedback LQ controller is more effective than purely passive or full state feedback active LQ controllers in following the road profile at the low frequency range and suppressing the road disturbance at the high frequency ranges.
