Reduction of oxides has been investigated for the volume reduction and recycling of the spent oxide fuel from commercial nuclear power plants. Various oxide reduction methods were proposed and KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute) is currently developing an electrochemical reduction process using a LiCl-$Li_2O$ molten salt as a reaction medium. The electrochemical reduction process, the front end of the pyroprocessing, can connect the PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) oxide fuel cycle to a metal fuel cycle of the sodium cooled fast reactor. This paper summarizes KAERI efforts on the development, improvement, and scale-up of the oxide reduction process.

Photovoltaic (PV) generators have nonlinear V-I characteristics and maximum power points which vary with illumination level and temperature. Using a maximum power point tracker (MPPT) with an intermediate converter can increase the system efficiency by matching the PV systems to the load. This paper presents a maximum power point tracker based on fuzzy logic and a control scheme for a single-phase inverter connected to the utility grid. The fuzzy logic controller (FLC) provides an adaptive nature for system performance. Also the FLC provides excellent features such as fast response, good performance and the ability to change the fuzzy parameters to improve the control system. A single-phase AC-DC inverter is used to connect the PV system to the grid utility and local loads. While a control scheme is implemented to inject the PV output power to the utility grid at unity power factor and reduced harmonic level. The simulation results have shown the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
According as the users can connect to remote hosts at anytime by using internet, the demand of non-stop system is increased. Also, the research about on-line adding/deleting disks and hosts are progressed. This paper suggests that the method of reducing additional operation when we add disks to the stripping system. That method can fast mapping like equation based mapping method because of using so-called SZIT(Striping Zone Information Table) and equations. And that method can reduce the relocation overhead in striping system at adding disks.

In order to achieve faster content distribution speed and stronger fault tolerance, a P2P peer can connect to multiple peers in parallel and receive chunks of the data simultaneously. A critical issue in this environment is selecting a set of nodes participating in swarming sessions. Previous related researches only focus on performance metrics, such as downloading time or the round-trip time, but in this paper, we consider a new performance metric which is closely related to the network and propose a peer selection algorithm that produces the set of peers generating optimal worst link stress. We prove that the optimal algorithm is practicable and has the advantages with the experiments on PlanetLab. The algorithm optimizes the congestion level of the bottleneck link. It means the algorithm can maximize the affordable throughput. Second, the network load is well balanced. A balanced network improves the utilization of resources and leads to the fast content distribution. We also notice that if every client follows our algorithm in selecting peers, the probability is high that all sessions could benefit. We expect that the algorithm in this paper can be used complementary to existing methods to derive new and valuable insights in peer-to-peer networking.
The recent explosion of data traffic, including cloud services, coupled with the Internet penetration has led to a surge in the need for ultra-fast optical networks that can efficiently connect the data center's reconfiguable resources. In this paper, the algorithms for controlling switching cell operation in the optical switch connection structure are proposed, and the resulting performance is compared and analyzed through simulation. Performance analysis results showed that the algorithm proposed in this paper has improved the probability of successful multi-connection setup by about 3 to 7% compared to the existing algorithm.

In this paper, we propose a new Active Channel Scanning scheme by scanning active channels employed by neighbor APs' with the handover counts and non overlap channel information for fast handover. Under the proposed scheme, the mobile which has finished handover to connect a new APsends the neighbor AP's channel information learned by itself during handover to the new AP. And then, the new AP relays the neighbor channel information to the old AP. It decides a priority by handover counts and non overlap channel information for building a Neighbor Channel Table(NCT), and also sends the table information to its associated mobile nodes, periodically. As a result each mobile can scan only active neighbor APs' channels when performs handover based on the referring to NCT information. Using NS-2 Simulator, we applied to supposed ACS that the result of simulation decides to sort by handover counts and non overlap channel information. we evaluate our proposed ACS scheme based on NCT along with the full scanning scheme and the selective scanning scheme. From simulation results, we show that the proposed scheme is advantageous over the other two schemes in terms of the number of scanning channels and the scanning latency.
The subject of this study was male apparatus gymnastics athlete who had scored high points doing basket with 1/2 turn on parallel bars. Then 3D motion analysis were used to calculate & analyse kinematic variables of Basket with 1/2 turn to Handstand. 1. The total average time spent for Basket with 1/2 turn took $2.16{\pm}.08sec$, at the downward upward phase took $.58{\pm}0.00sec$, $.23{\pm}.00sec$, at flight phase took $.28{\pm}.01sec$, at connected area phase took $.72{\pm}0.21sec$, at rotation area phase took $.35{\pm}.14sec$. To have a successful performance, there should be faster speed and velocity to rotate at the downward upward phase, then the upward velocity and height must be used adequately. Moreover, the speed must be faster at the flight connect phase to stabilize Center of Mass(CM) for the body, and must secure more time at the rotation area to have more stable performance. 2. After handstand on parallel bars while moving CM to right hand side, and It must be performed with big and magnificent performance with putting both hand's center to far away from the parallel bars. 3. Furthermore, CM must be moved fast from downwards to right hand side, and CM must be moved fast in vertical movement at upward and flight phase to avoid CM from moving back and forth, and left and right. 4. At downwards, the subject must rotate as bis as possible using hip-joint as wide as possible and at upwards, must put his body to vertical to have stable performance. While rotating or turning, it is better to do with bigger shoulder angle and have to make sure that trunk angle must be not scattered. To perform better and more positive in basket with 1/2 turn on parallel bars, the centrifugal force must be used big and fast at downward, and at upward and flight phase, downward movement must change to vertical movement as soon as possible while turning movement must happen at handstand position. Time spent must be shorten at connected area to stabilize CM and turning must be natural as possible while securing the necessary time of movement to well-balanced. Also, the body must be vertically closed from the ground.

The purpose of this study is to develop MICHS(Models of Interactive Cyber Home Study) for effective cyber home study(CHS) and a prototype system to support realtime and non-realtime interaction tools such as chatting with users, to study a method to connect MICHS with selective curriculum, and to verify the educational effect of the model. MICHS consists of two models. One model is an educational system model, and another model is a teaching-learning model. The major results of this study are summarized as follows. In the viewpoint of learning achievement, there is no significant difference in achievement between the experimental group(33 leaners) and the comparative group(33 leaners), but this fact can be construed as the possibility that CHS is an alternative system of school education. The interests on CHS of learners in the experimental group were increased twice. This result means that the system of CHS for active interaction needs various and important interaction tools, and the educational vision of CHS. In the viewpoint of system operation, CHS needs higher system requirements such as 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. If an old system can not process streaming services in request, it should be upgraded to a new system.

In this study, the modeling support system was developed which can make easy and fast FE-modeling and verify the results of static and durability analysis for the lower arm, one of the important parts in automobile suspension module. It took into account of the whole complicated design processes verifying the durability coefficients evaluated by fatigue analysis, which should be used to satisfy a design criteria. To guide the FE-modeling the drive page was constructed by using HTML and XML, which was based on expert's know-hows. It is able to integrate the processes to design the lower arm in practice, so that the standardization of its FE-Modeling is achieved, consequently. The 3 dimensional CAD's geometrical data were changed automatically into pre-defined shell elements under the concept of mesh-offset technique, and then welding elements were treated to connect between target and basic surfaces constructed by the shell elements. This system has also a user interface to control boundary and load ing conditions applied in performing of the static and durability analysis, in which many load cases can be applied simply with the MPCs driven by just few mouse clicks. These were implemented on the platform of MSC.Patran and utilized ANSYS, MSC.Nastran and MSC.Fatigue as the solver of the analysis performed. The developed system brings not only significant decreasing of man-hours required in FE-modeling process, but also obtaining of satisfied qualities in analyzed results. It will be integrated in a part of virtual prototyping module of the developing e-engineering framework.

This paper is concerned with the CR-CMA (Coordinate Reduction-Constant Modulus Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm using the coordinate reduction in order to improve the convergence characteristic and residual intersymbol interference which are used as the performance index for an adaptive equalizer. The equalizer is used to reduce the distortion caused by the intersymbol interference on the wireless and the wired band-limited channel that connect the transmitting system and receiving system. The CMA is widely known as the representative algorithm for equalization. In order to transmitting the mass information with a high speed through the channels, a fast convergence speed in the equalizer performance that is able to minimize overhead needed for equalization is acquired. In this paper, we introduce the new cost function to reduce the constellation of received signal at the input stage of a equalizer. It reduce the error at the steady equalization state. By the computer simulation, we confirmed that the proposed CR-CMA algorithm has the faster convergence speed and the smaller residual intersymbole interference than the conventional CMA.
