The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of Art Nouveau interior and furniture. For this purpose, the method of literature analysis was used. First, the general characteristics and background of Art Nouveau were investigated. Then the central architects of Art Nouveau were selected; Victor Horta, Henri Van do Velde, Hector Guimard, Antoni Gaudi and Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and their interior and furniture works were investigate to understand the characteristics of Art Nouveau interior and furniture. Their intoner and furniture works were fantastic and their designs became the base of Bauhous, the beginning of modern design.

This study is on the various style and characteristics of mask, and was performed empirically by reviewing the related materials such as the literature, precedent studies, fashion works, and home and foreign fashion magazines. As a result of the study, the style of mask in the modern fashion is roughly categorized by full-covered style, half-covered style, and over-half-covered style which is covered over 50% of a face. And, mask is utilized on a hat or a dress all over, or is produced by a elaborate makeup. Mask with lots of variation has three big characteristics, which are sense of disguise, sense of ornamentation, sense of grotesquery. First, sense of disguise means deviation or tool of affectation instead of cultural standard norm through transforming or masquerading as an imagery person or animal in ancient myths, famous artistes, etc. It could be developed to express a designer's identity. Second, mask decorated with various styles and materials has sense of ornamentation, which means natural human desire of expression for beauty, and at the same time human mind longing for experience a fantastic and ideal inner world being deviated from the present world even indirectly. Third, ignoring the original format of eyes, nose, and mouth, using extraordinarily various techniques such as distortion, extreme, exaggeration, concealment, or combining with animal images, mask has sense of grotesquery inducing humor and horror simultaneously.

Postmodern American science fiction authors often dramatize the human fear and hope for the newly emerging artificial life forms. For example, Helen as an advanced artificial intelligence Richard Power's Galatea 2.2 shows that the student's memorizing efforts for exams can be useless someday. In Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash machines are liable to be infected with viruses like human bodies. In He, She and It, Piercy's parallel of an artificial human (Yod) and a mythic personification (Golem) allegorically reveals the pandora-like unpredictable effect of advanced technology. More than the mechanical entities (the diffusion and linear models for Latour), these biologically artificial entities reveal the limitations of even the fantastically idealized technology simply because the human being as the creators or impersonators of these machines are not perfect. Compared to illustrative mechanism, biologically artificial entities (Latour's transition or whirlwind models) are inherently rebellious because of their closeness to the creators. The Butler's organic environmental interaction of the Earthseed convincingly demonstrates how the wrong use of science ruins the holy earth and also how human beings survive through the right use of effective science with the aid of anthroposophy.

The inspiration and its application in fashion design is considered as one of the important factors in boosting the fashion arena. Many inspirations are adapted in fashion de-sign and they make the fashion design unique and characteristic. In this study many fashion designs are analyzed to find what kind of inspirations were adapted and utilized for the fashion design in reality. The nature historic costumes ethcin costumes arts sciences literature music sports were revealed as the sources of fashion inspiration.l The concerns on the environments movies and dramas could provide inspirations in fashion as well. Several contents or steps were studied to provide the one of the example of appli-cations as follows: 1. The works of Marc Chagall were analized to figure out and several plastic characteristics from his works were revealed such as fantastic strong colors unreal animal pattern or their details his wife and friends various divisions of the surface and so on. These attributes had been favored in depiction of his works to ex-press his home town or nostalgia. 2. '90s fashion designs inspired by the works of Chagall were analized to find out the meth-odology or the process of designs. The same Chagall colors were used in design and similar pattern were expressed through beaded work or printing jobs. The surface designs such as printing were the most prefered method in adapting the inspirations. 3. The plastic characteristics of the work of Chagall were attempted in clothing design and construction. The color combination patterns which remind the animals the surface divisions were used in design ot practive the methodologies.

애니메이션에서 사운드의 가장 큰 목적은 관객과의 커뮤니케이션이다. 애니메이션 사운드는 환상적, 사실적인 작품의 시대적, 공간적 배경을 음악을 통해서 보다 자연스럽게 관객에게 전달하고 캐릭터의 연기동작에 따라 리듬과 운율을 사용하여 캐릭터의 성격묘사와 특색, 분위기를 관객에게 친근하게 전달한다. 본 연구는 애니메이션 영상에 사운드가 미치는 역할과 기능의 중요성을 파악하기 위해 관련 문헌 자료의 연구를 수행하였다. 본 논문은 노먼 멕라렌과 커트 런던의 이론을 바탕으로 애니메이션 사운드 제작과정에서 영상과 잘 조화되어 작품에서 전체적인 분위기를 내러티브의 구조에서 사건의 진행을 매끄럽게 연결해주고 영상과 사운드의 상호작용을 원활하게 하여 관객에게 전달하는가에 초점을 맞추었다.

Romanticists realized the ideals of a more fantastic and better society for the present day in which they lived; in addition, dress was an important medium of expression of this period. The Incroyables were a group that expressed eccentric forms and abuses of luxury through their clothing, centering around the second generation of financial elite groups during the French Directoire. Incroyables created their own fashion that expresses their new image in dress, expressing the intense personal innerity of life, which was influenced by the romanticism of pursuing an internal expression of the subjective and emotional individual. This study used a literature review to analyze the characteristics of the Romanticism expressed in the Incroyables fashion. The research results were as follows. First, it was an expression of an emotional desire for and ancient regime. Incroyables fashion were based on bourgeois nostalgia for the days of the ancient regime that resulted in an emphasis on individual and original human views. Second, it was also a hybrid of Romantic classicism. It was a form emphasizing body form where body beauty expressed a classical form through a dress under the influence of neo-classicalism that desires to return to nature.

Romanticism factors in fashion since the 1990s is more about feminine softness and grace, and suggests the image of a fantastic cute and lovable girl with dreams. This study examined romanticism in literature focusing on the 19th century, which is considered the time of romanticism, and examined romanticism in men's fashion since the 1990s based on the newly found characteristics of romanticism. Romanticism in men's fashion since the 1990s can be divided into three categories of individual sensitivity pursuing romanticism, romanticism with a desire to aspire, and resistance inclined romanticism. First, individual sensitivity pursuing romanticism is the type that places importance on expression of emotions based on the values on individuals, and was expressed as either romanticism with sexual charm or as romanticism with an extremely feminine taste. Second, romanticism with a desire to aspire was the most prominent romanticism fashion type in men's fashion since the 1990s and it can be divided into four categories of aspiration of nature and time, aspiration of the past and romanticism, aspiration of childhood and aspiration of new exotic cultures. Third, resistance inclined romanticism was expressed as romanticism that is inclined to resist against materialism and romanticism that resists against youth culture.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the meaning of soul fashion in American pop culture. This study was conducted using a literature research method based on the prior theses, journals and relevant books. Soul as a concept, originated in African-American communities and evolved from the ideology of Black Power, which prompted Black Nationalism. Soul fashion, which took on two styles in African American culture began to embody black resistance and community pride in the late 20th century. One of these, hip-hop style represented the message of resistance and a sense of beauty outside the mainstream. The other, African-inspired fashion, which utilized a look inspired by African tradition, rejected white supremacy by expressing a proud dignity. As a result, the meaning of "soul" in soul fashion represented by American pop culture resulted in contrasting appearance due to different elements. First, one of its meanings is ironic and sarcastic, and it expressed historical trauma, cultural stereotypes, self-hatred, and self-degradation and, the self-mutilation of African-American by cynically distorting their silhouettes and, using modified materials and patterns, fantastic colors, and extraordinary accessories. Second, the other meanings is the pride and dignity of Black Power, which visualized the concentration of ideas implied by the tradition of African-American, through soul fashion by using fierce traditional of African costumes, unique patterns and accessories.

The ${\ulcorner}$Dae${\lrcorner}$ is a place where a man could commune with nature. Our ancestors, who had very interested in natural landscape, and were named to the typical rock in the nature, which they called 'Dae'. The results of a analyzed the old literature(1530 : early stage of Chosen Danasty) are as follows. 1. The distribution of Dae is differ from provinces. Gangwon-do, Kyongsang-do, Cholla-do had many of the Daes. 2. The characteristics of form were classified into five groups. 1) A type of huge flat rock, which able to sit 5-6 persons(30.2%) 2) A type of mountain peak, which unable to use but seems to use images (27%) 3) A type of cliff(25.4%) 4) A type of fantastic rock (9.5%) 5) A type of stratified rock (6.3%) 3. The behavioral characteristics of the Dae were summarized watching a scenery and strolling (유(遊)), enjoying acenery, and relaxation. 4. The site locations of Dae are various such as, hill top, on cliffs, on the mountain, around river, river side cliff or grand rocks, and so forths.

Miss Ki, the heroine of (취유부벽정기) is the image on which Hong-saeng's mind is projected. And the mind of Hong-saeng(홍생) is the allegory of Kim, si-seop's(김시습) mind to king Dan-jong. So I think the mind of Ki who thinks patriotism is more important than her life is the allegory of Kim si-seop's patriotic sentiment to king Dan-jong. And I think the sorrow of Hong-saeng for the ruins of Ko-choseon(고조선) means sorrow of Kim, si-seop's(김시습) for the death of Dan-jong's. They felt sorrowful because values that they considered as absolute ones were damaged. However, everything in the world are fatally changed. Although people think the most important thing they think now is never changed, after long time they cannot but see all is changed. At last people realize the thing seemed most important will disappear in vain. So the writer of (취유부벽정기) made a image of Miss Ki who is a nymph of moon and was the princess of Ko-choseon to awaken Hong-saeng. He intended to change hong-saeng's mind to king Dan-jong with the change of Miss Ki's mind to her father. But the writer knew the fact that though Hong-saeng changed his mind, he could not become happy. So he wanted to transcend the real world, but he can't. After all he expressed his wants in fantastic lunar world.
