Linear Approximation and Asymptotic Expansion associated to the Robin-Dirichlet Problem for a Kirchhoff-Carrier Equation with a Viscoelastic Term

  • In this paper, we consider the Robin-Dirichlet problem for a nonlinear wave equation of Kirchhoff-Carrier type with a viscoelastic term. Using the Faedo-Galerkin method and the linearization method for nonlinear terms, the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution are proved. An asymptotic expansion of high order in a small parameter of a weak solution is also discussed.

  • In this paper we prove the existence of solution and uniform decay rates of the energy to viscoelastic problems with nonlinear boundary damping term. To obtain the existence of solutions, we use Faedo-Galerkin's approximation, and also to show the uniform stabilization we use the perturbed energy method.

  • The main goal of this work is to study an initial boundary value problem relating to the unsteady flow of a rigid, viscoplastic, and incompressible Bingham fluid in an elastic bounded domain of ℝ2. By using the approximation sequences of the Faedo-Galerkin method together with the regularization techniques, we obtain the results of the existence and uniqueness of local solutions.

  • This paper is devoted to the study of a nonlinear Kirchhoff-Carrier wave equation in an annulus associated with Robin-Dirichlet conditions. At first, by applying the Faedo-Galerkin method, we prove existence and uniqueness results. Then, by constructing a Lyapunov functional, we prove a blow up result for solutions with a negative initial energy and establish a sufficient condition to obtain the exponential decay of weak solutions.

  • In this paper, we study a system of nonlinear wave equations associated with the helical flows of Maxwell fluid. By constructing a N-order iterative scheme, we prove the local existence and uniqueness of a weak solution. Furthermore, we show that the sequence associated with N-order iterative scheme converges to the unique weak solution at a rate of N-order.
