  • This paper is concerned with the classifications of quadric surfaces of first and second kinds in Euclidean 3-space satisfying the Jacobi condition with respect to their curvatures, the Gaussian curvature K, the mean curvature H, second mean curvature $H_{II}$ and second Gaussian curvature $K_{II}$. Also, we study the zero and non-zero constant curvatures of these surfaces. Furthermore, we investigated the (A, B)-Weingarten, (A, B)-linear Weingarten as well as some special ($C^2$, K) and $(C^2,\;K{\sqrt{K}})$-nonlinear Weingarten quadric surfaces in $E^3$, where $A{\neq}B$, A, $B{\in}{K,H,H_{II},K_{II}}$ and $C{\in}{H,H_{II},K_{II}}$. Finally, some important new lemmas are presented.

  • Recently, Chen studied warped products which are CR-submanifolds in Kaehler manifolds and established general sharp inequalities for CR-warped products in Kaehler manifolds. In the present paper, we obtain sharp estimates for the squared norm of the second fundamental form (an extrinsic invariant) in terms of the warping function for contact CR-warped products isometrically immersed in Kenmotsu space forms. The equality case is considered. Some applications are derived.

  • In this study, we classify surfaces of revolution of Type 1 in the three dimensional Galilean space 𝔾3 in terms of the position vector field, Gauss map, and Laplacian operator of the first and the second fundamental forms on the surface. Furthermore, we give a classification of surfaces of revolution of Type 1 generated by a non-isotropic curve satisfying the pointwise 1-type Gauss map equation.

  • In this study, we define the dual surfaces by z = f(u) + g(v) and also classify these surfaces in ${\mathbb{I}}{\frac{1}{3}}$ satisfying some algebraic equations in terms of the coordinate functions and the Laplace operators according to fundamental forms of the surface.

  • This paper aims to study the 𝒲-curvature tensor on relativistic space-times. The energy-momentum tensor T of a space-time having a semi-symmetric 𝒲-curvature tensor is semi-symmetric, whereas the whereas the energy-momentum tensor T of a space-time having a divergence free 𝒲-curvature tensor is of Codazzi type. A space-time having a traceless 𝒲-curvature tensor is Einstein. A 𝒲-curvature flat space-time is Einstein. Perfect fluid space-times which admits 𝒲-curvature tensor are considered.

  • This paper presents the implementation of two-arm modulation (TAM) technique for the independent control of a two-induction motor drive fed by a five-leg inverter (FLI). A carrier-based space vector pulse width modulation technique for TAM is proposed to generate switching signals for FLI. Two independent three-phase space vector modulators are utilized to control two motors. The motor drive system applies two separate indirect field-oriented control methods. The stationary voltage outputs from the vector control are synthesized in the three-phase space vector modulator to generate switching signals for FLI. The performance of the independent control of the motors and the voltage utilization factor are likewise analyzed. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method for the independent control of the two-motor drive system. The proposed technique is successfully validated by dSPACE DS1103 experimental work.

  • Background: Previous studies have investigated the effects of dexamethasone injections into the pterygomandibular space and compared them to those of controls; however, the effects of dexamethasone injections before and after lower third molar surgery on postoperative complications have not been studied. This research investigated the postoperative sequelae of dexamethasone injections before and after surgery into the pterygomandibular space. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of preoperative and postoperative injections of 4 mg of dexamethasone into the pterygomandibular space on postoperative pain, facial swelling, and the restriction of mouth opening following lower third molar surgical removal. Methods: Twenty-seven participants with bilateral symmetrical lower impacted third molars were included in this study. Each participant was randomly allocated to one of two groups. Group A received injections of 1 ml dexamethasone (4 mg/mL) and 1 mL placebo into the pterygomandibular space before and after surgery, respectively. Group B received the same doses of placebo before surgery and dexamethasone after surgery. Results: A significant restriction of mouth opening on the second postoperative day was observed in both groups. Nonetheless, the postoperative restriction of mouth opening, facial swelling, postoperative pain, and analgesic consumption after lower third molar surgical removal were not significantly different in the two groups. Conclusions: Regardless of the time of administration, dexamethasone injections into the pterygomandibular space resulted in satisfactory control of the postoperative sequelae of the mandibular third molar surgical removal.
