전해생성염소(電解生成鹽素)에 의한 폐인쇄회로기판(廢印刷回路基板)으로부터 구리 침출(浸出) -실험계획법(實驗計劃法) 적용(適用)에 의한 침출(浸出) 영향인자(影響因子)의 분석(分析)- (Leaching of copper from waste PCBs with electro-generated chlorine -Analysis of experimental factors on the leaching by the factorial design-)

  • 전해생성염소를 산화제로 사용하여 폐인쇄회로기판으로부터 구리의 침출에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 구리침출반응과 관련된 실험인자들의 영향을 정량적으로 파악하기 위하여 실험계획법을 적용하였다. 실험결과의 분산분석으로부터 전류밀도, 침출온도, 염산농도 그리고 침출온도와 염산농도의 교호작용 등이 구리침출에 유효한 인자로 나타났다. 이들 중 구리침출에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 인자는 침출실험 결과해석의 95.7%출 차지하는 전류밀도로 분석되었다. 실험결과의 중회귀분석을 이용하여 침출실험 결과의 99%를 설명할 수 있는 침출 모델식을 얻었다. 또한 모델식을 통한 구리 등침출선의 예측으로부터 침출온도가 높아질수록 구리침출량의 증가에 대한 염산농도의 영향이 커지는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Performance assessment of nano-Silica incorporated recycled aggregate concrete

  • The present study targets to access the consequence of utilization of coarse aggregates retrieved from waste concrete as a substitution of coarse fraction of natural aggregates and silica nano-particles as partial substitution of cement using principles of factorial design. Furthermore, procedures of design of experiments are employed to examine the effect of use of recycled aggregates and nano-silica. In this investigation, compressive strength found after at 7, 28, 90 and 365 days, split and flexural tensile strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity and rebound number and are chosen as responses, whereas the percentages of recycled coarse aggregates (RCA%) and nano-silica (NS(%)) are selected as factors. Analysis of Variance has been conducted on the experimental results for the selected responses with consideration the both factors, which indicates that RCA (%) and NS (%) have substantial impact on the various responses. However, the present analysis depicts that interaction between factors has considerable effect on the chosen parameters of concrete. Furthermore, validation experiments are carried to validate these models for compressive and tensile strength for 100% RCA and 1% NS. The results of comparative study indicates that that the error of the estimation determined using the relevant models are found to be small (±5%) in comparison with the analogous experimental results, which authenticates the calculated models.

  • With the possibility of hot water being able to be used as a heating source in a liquid desiccant system, an experimental apparatus for regeneration of the liquid desiccant was set up and series of experiments were conducted in a climate-controlled chamber. This study was performed to ascertain the influences of experimental factors on regenerating performance and to suggest the optimal combination of factors affecting regeneration rate. Furthermore. in order to figure out the contribution ratio of the factors on regenerating performance, a multi-way factorial design among the design of experiments was adopted. According to experimental results, the most influential factor on regenerating performance was temperature of the liquid desiccant and its contribution ratio was about 79.4%. In addition. the optimal operating combination was as follows; $60^{\circ}C$ of solution temperature, $14\ell$/min of solution flow rate, and 190m3/h of air volume.

니켈기 경질 용사코팅의 경도 및 마모율에 미치는 공정조건의 영향 (Effect of Process Parameters on the Hardness and Wear Rate of Thermal Sprayed Ni-based Coatings)

  • The various process parameters of thermal spray process affects on quality of Ni-based coatings. Thus, there is need to analyze the effect of process parameters on quality of Ni-based coatings. In this paper, the effects of process parameters on hardness and wear rate of Ni-based coatings were investigated using 4 design of experiments. First, the Ni-based coatings were fabricated according to $L_9(3^4)$ orthogonal array. The hardness tests and the wear tests were performed on the Ni-based coatings. The analysis of variance for the hardness and wear rate were carried out. As a results, the acetylene gas flow and the powder feed rate were identified as main factors effected on the hardness and the oxygen gas flow and the acetylene gas flow were identified as main factors effected on the wear rate. The full factorial experiments design with different levels was applied for investigation of effect of these main factors.

  • The measurement of welding temperature of connector is usually performed with an infra red temperature gauge. However, the factors, which influence the temperature measurement, are rarely known. This research used the welding temperature measurement of the connector as an example, applying the experimental design, in two-phase experiments, to search the affecting factors. In phase-I experiment, we used a resolution III, seven-factor fractional factorial design with two levels for each factor. The result showed that none of the factor was significant in affecting the welding temperature when the type I error ${\alpha}$ was 0.05. Next, we did the phase-II factorial experiment with three factors and each factor had three levels. The experiment showed the experimental time was significant in affecting the temperature measurement when the type I error ${\alpha}$ was 0.05. Further Duncan's multiple range tests on the second experimental data showed that the later the experimental time, the weaker the light intensity could have on the temperature measurement and the average of the highest temperatures was lower. Moreover, the later the experimental time, the smaller was the variance of the temperature measurement and the difference between the averages of the highest and the lowest temperatures was also lower.

Are Negative Online Consumer Reviews Always Bad? A Two-Sided Message Perspective

  • This study investigates the effects of a two-sided message on product attitude and purchase intention by using a message structure variable, such as attribute importance in the context of online consumer reviews (OCRs). Study 1 explains the previous inconsistent results of a two-side message by comparing a one-side message and a two-side message by using the attribute importance in negative reviews. Study 2 determines the reasons for the inconsistent results of a refutational two-sided message research by using the attribute importance in negative reviews and website trust. Two experiments are designed to test our hypotheses. The first experiment is a $2{\times}2$ factorial design with 84 participants. The second experiment uses a $2{\times}2{\times}2$ factorial design with 196 participants. In study 1, two-sided OCRs are more credible than one-sided OCRs, and two-sided OCRs that use low important attributes are more effective in making favorable product attitude/purchase intention. In study 2, refutational two-sided OCRs that use high attribute importance render positive effects on product attitudes in trustworthy websites. However, the refutation could negatively affect product attitude/purchase intention in low trustworthy websites.

실험계획법을 이용한 MOF-5 합성공정 최적화 연구 (A Study of the Optimization of the MOF-5 Synthesis Process using Design of Experiments)

  • 실험계획법을 이용하여 MOF-5 합성공정의 최적화에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 먼저 전구체의 농도를 최적화 하기 위하여 혼합물 설계법을 이용하였다. 합성에 사용되는 세 가지 전구체인 terephthalic acid, zinc acetate dihydrate, N,N-dimethylformamide의 농도비를 extreme vertices design methods로 최적화 하였다. MOF-5 합성을 위한 최적의 농도는 1 mol : 2.7 mol : 40 mol로 예측되었다. 이후, 온도, 시간 및 교반 속도와 같은 합성 반응 조건이 합성에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 다단계 요인 설계법을 사용하였다. 수행된 통계 분석에 따라 교반 속도는 후속 연구에서 제외되었다. 합성시간과 온도를 고려한 합성 공정 최적화는 중앙 조성 설계법을 이용하였다. 13번의 합성 실험을 통해 도출된 2차 모델 방정식을 이용하여 결과를 추정하였다. 설계에 사용된 모델에 의하면 119 ℃ 및 10.4 h 조건에서 합성된 MOF-5가 최대의 결정화도를 가지는 것으로 예측되었다.

Aspect-Oriented Approach를 이용한 통합 물류 시스템의 시뮬레이션 설계 및 분석 방법 (The Simulation Design and Analysis Method of Integrated Logistics System using an Aspect Oriented Approach)

  • This paper presents an aspect-oriented approach to simulation design and analysis in system design phase for integrated logistics system simulation. The integrated logistics system composed of AS/RS (Automated Storages and Retrieval System), AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle System), STVs (Sorting Transfer Vehicle System) and Conveyor System is designed by using the aspect-oriented approach and UML (Unified Modeling Language). The multi-factorial design of experiments and regression analysis are used for design parameters of the system and Evolution Strategies is used to verify each parameter. Aspect-oriented approach for the integrated logistics system simulation shows the advantages of code reusability, extendible, modulation, easy improvement and a better design technique.

원심펌프 측면흡입구의 유동특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Flow Characteristics of Side-suction Inlet Geometry for Centrifugal Pump)

  • This paper presents a numerical study on the design of side-suction inlet geometry which is used for multi stage centrifugal pumps or inline centrifugal pumps. In order to achieve an optimum inlet geometry and to explain the interactions between the different geometric configurations, the three dimensional computational fluid dynamics and the design of experiment methods have been applied. Geometric design variables describing the cross sectional area distribution through the inlet were selected. The objective functions are defined as the non-uniformity of the velocity distribution at the passage exit which is just in front of the impeller eyes. From the 2k factorial design results, the most important design variable was found and the performance of the side suction inlet was improved compared to the base line shape.

  • The research presents an application of Balanced ANOVA (BANOVA) by utilizing randomized orders for various Split-Plot Designs (SPDs) which include two cell designs, split-plot with one-way HTC (Hard to Control) factor, split-plot with two-way HTC factor, split-split-plot design and nested design. In addition, four MINITAB examples of 2-level split-plot designs based on the number of blocks and the type of whole-plots are presented for practitioners to obtain comprehensive understanding. Furthermore, the geometrical interrelated properties among three typical Designs of Experiments (DOE), such as Factorial Design (FD), Response Surface Design (RSD), and Mixture Design (MD) are discussed in this paper.
