The indicators of an advanced society include the overall level of life quality and satisfaction among all the members. The overall life quality has close relationships with accessibility to urban space for the social weak. Access to facilities of interest and right of mobility in urban space are very important issues to the weak class in terms of transportation including the visually handicapped. In particular, great significance is endowed upon transfer facilities, which play mediating roles between facilities like passenger facilities, and the convenience facilities inside for the disabled, which are usually the only means for the disabled to access each facility. As they are provided to the visually handicapped as well, it's very important to analyze the concerned spatial distribution and offer the results. The previous studies on the subject, however, merely covered the perceptions of the users and the related statistical analysis. This study set out to analyze non-barrier space to promote the utilization of convenience facilities at passenger facilities by the visually handicapped and to secure their right of mobility by using a GIS for spatial analysis based on spatial data. The results show that it's urgent to supplement the existing space for the handicapped and that it's necessary to expand convenience facilities for the disabled such as paths with Braille points on them to promote their use of diverse convenience facilities inside.

The purpose of this study is to identify the educational needs among social workers in social welfare facilities in Jeju province concerning lack of knowledge, skill and attitude, and establish the systematic education for prosecuting diverse training and suggest fundamental data for designing future curriculum. The results of analyzing top 10 educational needs for the workers are as follows: firstly technics for managing crises, understanding and practice for clients (characteristics, human right, safety and health), case management (basic), counseling technique (basic), case management (advanced), counseling technique (advanced), planning and operating social welfare program, managing client response and emotional labor, improving competence for communication (between staffs and clients, etc.), and finally assessing project outcome (project plan, execution, management and assessment, etc.). Social workers in social welfare facilities in the area have highly recognized the necessity of profession centred education. However, they had low satisfaction with the diversity of profession education in the Jeju island and the systematic training courses. This survey suggests the various results concerning qualitative growth of profession education, expansion of job-centred curriculum and security of professional instructors to fulfil systematic education training for social workers.

This study will explore the possibility of applying process innovation as a public library for business innovation. In order to do this, the study defines the concept of process innovation through the literature review. According to survey and focus group interviews with librarians working for public libraries, this study will organize work done at libraries into the following categories: acquisition, resource management, user management, user services, programs, volunteer management, marketing, library computerization system, facility management, general affairs and statistical management. In addition, through face-to-face surveys with librarians working for public libraries it is confirmed that there are issues within acquisition, user management, and applied process innovation. In response to these issues a new process has been developed. Using this new approach, book contract procedure and requests for book related work could be improved and optimized. In the user management section, the study analyzes the requirements and subscription procedures for members through a website survey of 30 public libraries in the United States and then provides an improved system through process analysis of the membership process of Korean public libraries. It is expected that the new system will contribute to improvements in user satisfaction as well as improvements in library workflow.

The purpose of this study is to analyze current status and teacher librarians' perceptions of school library space composition and indoor environment, and propose some methods for the school library to be a basic educational facility. The space most secured by the 126 teacher librarians who participated in the survey was the free reading area, and the space with the lowest level was the media production and group project area. The most important types of spaces for teacher librarians are the teaching area and the free reading area, while the recognition of the importance of media production and group project areas is relatively low. Among the elements of indoor environmental assessment, they showed that safety and comfort were the most important but diversity and flexibility were relatively less important. The result of this analysis is different from the school and library policy direction that emphasizes the learning commons and maker spaces. Teacher librarians still seem to appreciate the importance of traditional library space. Therefore, it is necessary to include the establishment and operation of maker spaces and learning commons in the teacher librarians training and retraining process. In addition, it is necessary to increase the participation of users such as teachers, students, and parents in space composition and interior design initiatives to increase the user's interior environment satisfaction.

This study collected opinions about the design and management of toothbrushing facilities from schoolteachers and the people in charge of public centers, through a focus group interview (FGI), for the development of guidelines. Four moderators conducted eight FGIs of 32 subjects in charge of toothbrushing facilities across all the regions. The qualitative data was analyzed by constant comparative analysis. The findings indicated that more students utilized the facility and brushed their teeth after the installation of toothbrushing facilities. To enhance students' accessibility and safety, guidelines for design and management guidelinesfor toothbrushing facilities need to be developed; the location, sink height and depth, drain size, etc. should be comprehensively considered in the development of the guidelines. This study can help to improve students' satisfaction by enhancing the accessibility, safety, and functionality of toothbrushing facilities, and by providing fundamental data for toothbrushing facilities' development. Finally, this study can maximize the effects of management of toothbrushing facilities management on the improvement of students' oral health and behaviors.

This is an empirical study that analyzes factors affecting the work-family compatibility of female wage workers with underage children. The analysis was conducted with 1,113 women from the 7th wave of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families by Korean Women's Development Institute. As for research methods, multiple regression analysis was used in order to analyze the effects of 'social support(home support, maternity protection support, childcare and education services)', 'job characteristics', 'socio-demographic variables' and 'husband characteristics' on 'work-family compatibility and conflict'. As a result, it was analyzed that the husband's support for work life, gender inequality at work and women's educational training were the factors that strengthen work-family compatibility. It was also analyzed that gender inequality, use of childcare and education facility, number of underage children, age of husband, husband's satisfaction with caring support and husband's support for work life were the factors that cause conflict between work and family. Thus, if the policy of strengthening the work-family compatibility is a long-term policy, it appears that it is necessary to supplement and strengthen policies that can reduce conflict factors in the short term. It is hoped that the results of the study will be used as objective and academic data to strengthen the maternity protection and work-family compatibility of female workers with underage children.

Smart Factory refers to a factory that can be controlled by itself with an intelligent factory that improves productivity, quality and customer satisfaction by combining the entire process of manufacturing and production with digital automation solutions. The manufacturing industry around the world is rapidly changing, with Germany, Europe, and the United States at the center. In order to cope with such changes, the Korean government is also implementing a policy to spread the supply of smart factories for small and medium-sized companies, and related ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of SMEs and Venture Business, the Korea Institute of Technology and Information Promotion, and local technoparks, as well as large companies such as Samsung, SK and LG are actively investing in smart manufacturing projects to support smart factories[1]. Factory Automation (FA) construction has many issues regarding the connection of heterogeneous equipment. The most difficult aspect of configuring various communications from various equipment is the reason. Although it may not be known if there are standards or products made up of the same company, it is not easy to build equipment that is old, up-to-date, and different use environments through a series of communications. To solve this problem, we would like to propose a method of communication using Modbus, one of FieldBus, which is one of the many industrial devices of PLC, a representative facility control system, and is used as a communication standard.

As the demand for a convergence between construction technologies and IT is on the rise, as seen in the visualization of U-City construction, studies on the ways in which IT in should be utilized in the building and construction field have been continuously and actively performed. However, there has been almost no development of standardized technology criteria relating to the life cycle of a building (planning, design, construction, and maintenance). That is, there are almost no examples of efforts made to combine construction technology and IT in a fundamental way, considering the environment, the facility, its spatial characteristics, engineering, materials, and structure, aspects that are commonly required not only for interior spaces but also for exterior construction of U-City. Despite the fact that a state-of-the-art infrastructure has been built, and the competency of users with the cutting-edge technology, composite studies on technologies, facilities, services and spaces are still lacking, and basic research on the composite operation method including compatibility and linkage between facilities and services within a U-City has been insufficient as well. It is generally known that by fusing IT with construction technologies, the total period of construction taken can be reduced and construction expenses can be curtailed, while construction quality can be improved. For this reason, it is vital to prepare a standardized base to connect cutting-edge IT with the construction technologies. In preparing such a base, the most urgent issue is to develop standardized technology criteria. The ultimate objective of this research is to establish the technological criteria system required to apply construction-IT fused technologies to U-Cities, and to develop the technological criteria for the design, construction and maintenance of the U-Cities. This paper, whose objective is to establish development strategies for construction-IT fused technologies by way of analyzing the criteria for conventional construction projects, the necessity of criteria for construction-IT fused technologies, and the current status of U-Cities' development, is the underlying research for this purpose. The strategies established are expected to be utilized in establishing the system of criteria for construction-IT fused technologies, and to contribute to a knowledge base in the construction-IT field. In addition, based on the strategies established, criteria for construction-IT fused technologies, such as design criteria and construction standards, will be developed, and by applying these criteria and standards, the ultimate objectives of U-Cities, which are the enhancement of urban competitiveness and the satisfaction of residents, will be attained

The purpose of study was to evaluate the economic evaluation of Chuncheon curling stadium. In oder to estimate economic evaluation, benefit/cost ratio, net present value and internal rate of return were used. Additionally, in order to investigate the socio-economic spread effect, literature review and input-output analysis were used. The results of study were as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the demand for curling stadiums in Chuncheon, it was believed that the construction of the stadium will attract athletes from the Chuncheon region as well as athletes from Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province and North Chungcheong Province. Second, economic validity analysis showed that the initial investment did not make sense, but the players' training and competitions and the advantages of the potential experience of curling events for citizens in nearby areas, including Chuncheon, make the construction and operation reasonable. Third, as a result of the review of the social and policy validity of the curling stadium, the project to build a curling stadium in Chuncheon was secured with a policy validity as a public sports facility necessary for both professional and living athletes. Finally, the analysis of socio-economic spread effect of curling stadiums had shown that it would have a positive effect on the level of satisfaction of the general public as well as the discovery of elite athletes.

The purpose of this research is to analyze and understand MTB(mountain bike) participants' life in subcultural perspective. This research was completed by 8 people live in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon who regularly participated their activity and changed their job to MTB. Observe them by participation, in-depth interview, field notes and researcher's daily records were methods to collect these data. To accomplish this purpose of study, I chose ethnographic Research. As a result, feeling doubt of their previous life, be caught in unique fun of MTB that made them to think MTB leisure seriously as a job, experience of its professionalism they learnt, and changed their job voluntarily were majority opinions. After they changed their job, they seems to have weisure life, more enthusiastic, got positive attitudes than before. Final conclusion of this report is 'close relationship between MTB facility and day life ' and 'tourism's attraction brought them to change their job. This changes gave them satisfaction to their personal life. In socially, it made a large contribution for development of leisure industry by creating new jobs like MTB tour guide and MTB assemblyman.
