기업SNS사용의 선행요인 및 결과요인에 관한 연구 (Investigating Antecedents and Consequences of Enterprise SNS)

  • In the rapidly changing business environment, companies are introducing information technology to effectively manage internal resources in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. We presented the Enterprise Social Network Service(SNS) as new information technology. Enterprise SNS provided employers with sociable functions like Facebook while supporting general task such as mail, authorization and notice. In this research, we focused on Enterprise SNS and suggested self-disclosure, enjoyment in helping others, perceived organizational support, generativity capacity as antecedent variables of Enterprise SNS usage. In addition, we verified the effect of the mediating role of generativity capacity between Enterprise SNS usage and job performance. For empirically verifying the proposed model, we collected sample data from 225 workers using Enterprise SNS and conducted analysis using a structural equation modeling. We expect that this study provides managers who are interested in introducing enterprise SNS with insights on how to facilitate enterprise SNS usage. Also, this study suggests useful theoretical implications to researchers who are interested in the use of enterprise SNS from the context of knowledge management.

  • 본 연구는 국내 준정부기관에서 활용하고 있는 페이스북 소통매체 활용정도가 조직구성원들이 인지하는 조직문화 및 감정노동과 어떠한 영향 관계가 있는지 조사해보는데 그 목적을 두었다. 국내 K준정부기관 직원 총 101명을 대상으로 자료를 수집 후 분석한 결과, 조직 내 페이스북 소통매체 활용정도는 인지된 조직문화 하위요인 중 집단문화, 발전문화, 위계문화, 합리문화 모두에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 감정노동 하위요인 중 감정표현의 빈도와 감정표현의 다양성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 서비스직이 아닌 일반 사무직 종사자, 연구원 및 공무원 등을 대상으로 감정노동을 조사한 최초 실증연구이며, 본 연구 결과는 향후 조직 내 효과적인 소통 방법 구상을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

모바일 폐쇄형 SNS의 지속적 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인: 심층인터뷰와 실증분석 (Factors Affecting Continuous Usage Intention of Mobile Closed Social Network Services: In-depth Interviews and An Empirical Investigation)

  • Purpose Social Network Service (SNS) users feel fatigue in process of using open type of SNS like Facebook and Twitter. Compared to the open SNS, the closed SNS takes an closed form to prevent privacy exposure, and they are more practical and advantageous to form deeper social relationships. This study attempt to examine the effects of the mobile closed SNS characteristics (such as usefulness, playfulness, perceived security, psychological privacy, social influence, and belonging) on the users' continuous SNS usage intention. Design/methodology/approach This study used a mixed methodology combining in-depth interviews and empirical validation to investigate the effects of the mobile closed SNS characteristics on the continuous SNS usage intention of users. Findings Analytical results from a survey of 210 mobile closed SNS users showed that except perceived security, the effects of the five SNS characteristics on continuous SNS usage intention were significant. These findings contribute to improving the quality of mobile closed SNS services and suggesting SNS related marketing strategies.

감지추구자적매체습관(感知追求者的媒体习惯) (Media Habits of Sensation Seekers)

  • 对营销和广告经理来说, 理解消费者的偏好和使用的媒体类型是非常有必要的, 尤其是在如今市场细分的情况下. 清晰的理解能帮助经理更有效的选择合适的媒体. 而且由于性格特征的不同, 个人对媒体类型的选择和使用都不相同. 本文测试了一个性格特征, 即感知追求. 这是在测试 "新" 媒体偏好和使用的文献中尚未出现的. 感知追求是被定义为 "一种对变化, 新颖和复杂的感觉的需要和经历. 以及为承担这些经历愿意承受生理的和社会的风险" (Zuckerman 1979). 根据文献回顾, 我们提出了6个假设. 我们尤其关注使用与满足理论(Katz 1959), 这个理论解释了为什么人们选择媒体类型和他们使用不同媒体类型的动机的原因. 目前的理论表明高感知追求者(HSS), 由于他们对新颖, 激励和非传统的内容和想象的需要, 他们会更多的使用新媒体. 因此, 我们假设高感知追求者比低感知追求者(LSS)(H2a)或中等感知追求者(MSS)(H2b)会更多的使用网络而不是广播(H1a)或印刷媒体(H1b). 另外, 高感知追求者有更多的社交活动及朋友, 因此他们会比低感知追求者(a) 和中等感知追求者(b)更多的使用社交网络网页例如Facebook/MySpace(H3) 以及聊天室(H4). 感知追求者可以显示出一系列的行为包括抑制解除. 我们认为具有高水平去抑制的人们比低水平或中等水平的人们会更多的使用社交网络如Facebook/MySpace (H5) 和聊天室(H6). 我们的数据来源于对参加极限运动的参与者的网上调查. 为得到这个群组的信息, 我们使用雪球样本技术的提高版, 即连锁推荐方法来选择应答者. 这种方法被认为是对隐藏人群进行有效估算的方法(Heckathorn, 1997). 最终的有效样本包括1108名应答者. 主要是年轻人(56.36%在34岁以下), 男性(86.1%)和中产阶级(58.7%的家庭收入超过50,000美元). 我们用这个样本来进行感知追求的研究. 我们用简要感知追求量表来测试感知追求(Hoyle et al. 2007). 我们用自我报告使用过的不同媒体类型来测量媒体使用. 结果并不支持H1a和b. 高感知追求者并没有更多的使用网络这样的媒体. 事实上, 同其他的媒体类型相比, 这个平均水平是较低的. 高感知追求者使用最多的媒体类型时印刷媒体, 这说明了一种对主流的反抗. 结果支持H2a和b. 高感知追求者比低感知或中等感知追求者更多的使用网络. 进一步的分析揭示了在高感知和低感知追求者之间在使用印刷媒体方面有显著不同. 高感知追求者在他们感兴趣的极限运动方面会追求更专业的印刷出版物. 假设3a和b 揭示了高感知追求者比低感知或中等感知追求者更多的使用Facebook/MySpace. 在使用聊天室方面低感知和高感知追求者之间没有显著差距. 所以结果也不支持假设H4a, 但是H4b的结果是显著的. 不同抑制解除水平的应答者被认为使用Facebook/MySpace 和聊天室的水平也不同. 去抑制水平高比低水平或中等水平的使用Facebook/MySpace的水平高. 所以H5a和b 被支持. 类似的, H6b也被支持. 去抑制水平高的人们使用聊天室的概率显著多于中等水平的但并不多于低水平的人们(H6a). 这些结果为管理者提供了一些有趣的见解. 第一, 尽管高感知追求者比低感知或中等感知追求者更多的使用在线媒体, 但他们使用在线媒体仍然少于印刷或广播媒体. 广告执行者们不应该对这个重要的客户群过分的强调在线媒体. 第二, 社交媒体, 例如Facebook/MySpace和聊天室会是接近这个群体的有潜力的方法. 最后, 对去抑制水平高的群体, 有公共关系方面的启示. 这些个体更倾向于一些社会风险的行为. 这些直接的启示包括因特网捕食者和未来的雇主. 本研究的一个不足是受访者都是参与极限运动的. 这本身就是一个高感知追求者活动. 更大范围的人群需要被测试.

Inculcating a Sense of Community Among Members of Social Networking Communities

  • Social networking communities (SNCs) are media designed to facilitate social interaction using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques. SNCs can constitute individuals' their own profiles in the online environment and share texts, images and photos in a variety ways. In other words, one of the other motivators is knowledge sharing. Various sites, such as Facebook, Orkut, MySpace, and Hi5 are categorized as SNCs. SNCs have become increasingly popular in recent years among youths, especially students, who use them to build social networks. This study examines whether this usage of SNCs inculcates a sense of community among their members. Several studies have examined the role of a sense of community through increased usage in the context of virtual communities. Although this result may be true of virtual communities, this paper contends that the opposite relationship prevails in the case of SNCs because members interact to build networks and are not obliged to interact. The results reveal that maintaining long-term interactions in the SNCs is helpful in building a sense of community in SNCs. Although short-term usage may not boost the development of a sense of community in SNCs, it does matter if the premise is for a long-term commitment to SNCs. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.

소셜 네트워크 서비스 사용자의 디지털 아이템 구매와 실제 사용에 관한 연구: 종단적 관점에서 (Exploring Purchase Behavior of Digital Items and Actual Usage in a Social Network Site: A Longitudinal Perspective)

  • Given the rapid growth of social network services (SNS) such as Facebook and Cyworld, it is important to understand SNS users' decision-making processes such as purchasing and continuance intention. Especially, as a number of SNS providers such as Cyworld and Habbo Hotel recognize the sales of digital items as the main source of their profits, it is critical to in-depth understand SNS users' purchasing behaviors. In this regard, this study explores continued usage behaviors and purchase behaviors of digital items in an SNS environment using a longitudinal research method. This paper develops a theoretical model to deeply understand the key drivers of purchase behavior of digital items through constructs prescribed by two established research streams on information systems, namely continuance usage and habitual usage. Moreover, this study examines the effects of actual and ideal self-image congruity on SNS continuance intention and habit. The research model was tested by using survey data collected from 307 users who have experience with Cyworld. The analysis results show that SNS actual usage directly influence purchase behavior of digital items. SNS users' continuance intention and habit are key drivers to enhance the level of actual usage of the SNS. Both actual and ideal self-image congruity play a key role in enhancing continuance usage and habitual usage. The implication of research and discussions provides reference for SNS providers in marketing and IT strategy.

  • Social Networking Service (SNS) is prevailing rapidly in Japan in recent years. The most popular ones are Facebook, mixi, and Twitter, which are utilized in various fields of life together with the convenient tool such as smart-phone. In this work, a questionnaire investigation is carried out in order to clarify the current usage condition, issues and desired functions. More than 1,000 samples are gathered. Bayesian network is utilized for this analysis. After conducting the sensitivity analysis, useful results are obtained. Differences in usage objectives and SNS sites are made clear by the attributes and preference of SNS users. They can be utilized effectively for marketing by clarifying the target customer through the sensitivity analysis.

  • Why people reduce or stop using social network services(SNS), which are regarded as a mean of relationship and communication, unlike the early trend? To explain the phenomenon, this study tries to predict psychological decision making process of users from perspectives of cognitive dissonance theory. From this perspective, this study attempted an integrative approach that reflected 'User's literacy' indicating the ability of individuals to use SNS, and 'negative mass media influence' such as media reports on side effects or the bad experiences of acquaintances, along with the 3 factors used in the SNS Prior research. This study conducted an empirical analysis by surveying 256 facebook users, and the major findings are as follows:- First, Social-overload, complexity, uncertainty and negative media influence are significantly affect dissonance on the use of SNS. Second, Dissonance on the use of SNS significantly affects the behavior that possibly reduces and limits the use of SNS. In other words, the users who have experienced psychological dissonance respond passively by avoiding the use of SNS to resolve the dissonance. Third, the moderating effect of User's literacy wasn't a significant. This study presents a clue to understand psychological decision making process of use of SNS and a guideline for establishing practical strategies. In addition, it is important to note that this study contributes to expansion of theoretical discussion about usage.

인지적 몰입과 과거사용 그리고 습관이 자동사용에 미치는 영향 - 페이스북 사용자를 중심으로 (The Effect of Cognitive Absorption, Past Usage and Habit on Automatic Use - focus on the users of Facebook)

  • Recently, theoretical interests in automatic uses, which can be activated without conscious intention, have been increased. According to previous studies, automatic uses are known to be determined by the strength of habit, the frequency of past uses, and emotional experiences such as cognitive absorption. Concerned on the influences of the above three factors on automatic uses, this paper suggested the following research questions: 'Which effect of cognitive absorption on automatic considering habit?' and 'Does the frequency of past uses always influence habit?'. In order to answer the research questions, this study suggested a research model which would explain the relationship among cognitive absorption, habit, and uses. Especially, cognitive absorption is formed as a moderating variable of the relationship between past use and habit, and the relationships among variables are longitudinally expanded. The suggested research model was empirically tested by surveying 175 'Facebook' users and analysed by partial least square (PLS), which showed the suggested hypotheses are significant. This results answered the research questions as followed: First, cognitive absorption moderates the relationship between habit and automatic use. Second, the frequency of past uses would not always influence the formulation of habit rather but may be influenced by habit.

  • The article reviews the social media as an Internet phenomenon, determines their place and level of popularity in the society, as a result of which the social networks are a resource with perspective pedagogical potential. The analysis of social media from the point of view of studying a foreign language and the possibility of their usage as a learning medium has been carried out. The most widespread and popular platforms have been considered and, based on their capabilities in teaching all types of speech activities, the "Instagram", "Twitter", and "Facebook" Internet resources have been selected as the subject of the research. The system of tasks of teaching all types of speech activities and showing the advantages of the "Instagram", "Twitter", and "Facebook" platforms has been proposed and briefly reviewed.
