선박/해양플랜트용 FD FAN의 기어식 베인 댐퍼 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Improvement of Gear Type Vane Damper in Marine/Offshore FD Fan)

  • In this study, we developed a gear-type vane damper which replaces the link type through a proper gear design by means of a finite element analysis. We analyzed the fluid flow according to the amount of angular displacement. torque and backlash problems were addressed in conjunction with the pinion as a structural improvement of the forced draft fan (FD FAN). Through an environmental test. Also, results nearly identical to those in the test could be drawn when using a numerical method. Finally, we compared the gear driving result with simulation results. objective of the present study is to identify a nonlinear flow rate control method for a gear-type vane damper and to propose a damper shape which offers linear flow rate control. This study is related to the development of a gear-type vane damper of the change-link type in a forced draft fan.

  • In this study, we developed the gear type vane damper replacing the link type through gear design using Finite Element Analysis(FEA). FEA about the pinion and the vane shaft in the boss of gear type damper for quality improvement was accomplished. We analyzed fluid flow according to angular displacement. Catched the problem of the torque and backlash bring to the pinion as structure improvement of the forced draft fan(FD FAN). Finally, we compared the gear driving result with simulation. It is the objective of the present study to identify a nonlinear flow rate control of gear type vane damper and to suggest a damper shape with a linear flow rate control. This study is related to the development of gear type vane damper change link type in forced draft fan.

  • This study have processed the developing of vane damper with accurate control by using gear which is a flow-control equipment of marine boiler's FD fan on this research. For the developing of vane damper, we have corrected some problem from welding & assembly process by changing the design, and for the case of an emergency case, we have applied the easy disassembly & assembly on that vane damper. Compared to Rink type vane damper in current, we have focused on high efficiency with low price of that new developing damper. For selection of actuator, we have tried to find the propriety with our developing focus. Also, we have developed a jig of assembly processing for high productivity with quality, it caused the best assembly performance with heat-treated & processed parts.

  • Due to poor energy resources, the importance of energy saving has been greatly emphasized. It can be one method of energy saving to reduce the power. The AC adjustable speed drive systems show excellent efficiency, which have been developed in recent years. The adjustable speed drive system improves the efficiency in lightly load condition and extend the life span of motor by limiting the over-current at starting. The main topic of study is the results of energy saving and emergency transfer.

  • Oxy-coal combustion for $CO_2$ capture in coal power plants entails a mode switching from air-firing to oxyfiring. In this study, procedure of the mode switching was investigated and discussed through experiments in pilot scale facilities: (1) a 0.3 $MW_{th}$ furnace with a vertical single burner and a FGR(Flue Gas Recirculation) system (2) a 1 $MW_{th}$ furnace with horizontal 4 burners and a FGR system. Principle of the mode switching was established and performed with control of FD fan, FGR fan, ID fan and oxygen flow rates. We have found that equivalence ratio in the oxy-firing mode should be increased more than that in the air-firing to achieve stable mode switching. Control of FD, ID and FGR fans should be performed carefully in the mode switching, in the sense of complete combustion and flame attachment. Moisture contents in the ash and the flue gas recycled to the primary oxidizer stream should be removed to prevent condensation, corrosion and duct clogging.

Effects of Injection Conditions on Dispersibility of TiO2 in Polymerization of Poly(ethylene terephthalate)

  • In this study, the optimal preparation conditions in the polymerization process of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) were studied in detail. As a result, the dispersibility of $TiO_2$ was significantly improved by the addition of dispersant and steric hinderance additives into $TiO_2$/ethylene glycol (EG) slurry during the esterification step. The addition sequence of $TiO_2$/EG slurry and stirring also affected the dispersibility of $TiO_2$. The SEM results showed that some $TiO_2$ particles were agglomerated in the PET matrix. The full dull (FD) PET chip and fiber were prepared according to the optimal preparation conditions. The FD PET fiber exhibited a better dispersibility than that of the FD PET chip.

  • FD FAN(강제통풍팬)은 가스나 공기를 가압하여 목적한 곳으로 이송할 때 쓰이는 장치이며, 흡입 유량을 제어하기 위해서 베인 댐퍼를 사용하고 있다. 베인 댐퍼는 선박 보일러 내부의 완전 연소를 위하여, 베인의 개폐 각도를 조절하여 공기의 흡입 유량을 제어하는 유량조절 밸브이다. 대부분의 선박에는 링크식 베인 댐퍼를 사용하여 유량을 자동 또는 수동으로 조절할 수 있는 팬이 적용되고 있다. 그러나 초기 0~20도 각도에서 베인의 각도를 제어하는 링크의 불균형으로 인해 베인이 짧은 순간에 갑자기 열림으로서 순간적으로 많은 유량이 보일러 내부에 유입되기 때문에 불완전 연소로 인해 매연발생이 심각한 상태이다. 이것은 베인 댐퍼를 제어하는 링크의 복잡한 구조로 인한 조립 불균형의 구조적인 문제점과 링크 축에 걸리는 전달 토크가 골고루 분포하지 않고, 특정한 링크에 집중되는 현상으로 인해 축의 파괴가 발생되는 기술적인 문제가 뒤따르기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 링크식을 대체한 기어식 베인 댐퍼를 개발하기 위해서, 백래쉬 발생량 최소화 및 발생하는 토크를 분석하고, 조립식에 따른 품질 및 생산성 향상을 도모하였고, 베벨기어의 강도를 증명하였고, 선박이라는 특수성을 감안하고 사고위험시 즉각조치를 위한 IoT 기초연구를 위한 환경시험을 평가하였다.

Particle Dispersibility Improvement of Polyester Fibers with a New Line Injection

  • In order to develop a new line injection system for spin draw yarn (FD SDY) fibers, the effect of various parameters in extrusion and melt line conditions on the dispersion and distribution of $TiO_2$ particles within FD PET fibers was investigated. As a result, the dispersibility of $TiO_2$ particles in a PET matrix is found to depend on the particle size and its surface characteristics. Surface modification of $TiO_2$ by dimethyl polysiloxane resulted in the improved dispersibility and affinity of $TiO_2$ particles in the PET matrix. Especially, residence time, mixing temperature, and mixing shear rate in the new line injection system under the SDY spinning process were very important parameters to minimize the agglomeration of $TiO_2$ particles. The FD SDY prepared by the new line injection system was superior to those using the polymerization process and the conventional masterbatch chip dosing process in the color-L and color-b values of the fibers.

  • Thus, this study aimed to develop a gear-type vane damper in order to replace the link-type vane damper. To achieve this goal, the torque generated in a gear-type vane damper was analyzed, and a structural analysis was conducted. In addition, the fluid flow was analyzed according to the changes in the vane's angle, and experimental tests such as a dry-heat test and cold test were conducted considering the operating conditions of the vessels. Moreover, an appropriate actuator was selected for the developed gear-type vane damper, and studies on the reduction in the backlash due to the facing-pressure adjustment length and flow rate and leakage test due to the vane's angle were conducted.

제트팬 용량이 도로터널 화재에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Re-ventilated Fan Capacity on Road Tunnel Fire)

  • 터널 내부에서의 화재의 경우 일반도로와 달리 운전자의 시야 확보가 어려워 대형사고가 발생할 가능성이 매우 높다. 따라서 터널 내부 화재 발생 시 제트팬 용량에 따른 제연 효과에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 NIST에서 개발한 화재시뮬레이션인 FDS를 사용하여 제트팬의 유무, 제트팬의 용량에 의해 터널 내부에서 발생한 차량 화재에 대한 제트팬 용량에 따른 연기 거동 및 가시거리, 일산화탄소의 농도를 분석하였다. HRRPUA(Heat Release Rate Per Area)는 $3.6MW/m^2$로 설정하였으며, 모든 해석 시간은 총 600s로 설정하였다. CFD에 의한 가시거리, 일산화탄소 농도 해석은 y=30m, y=110m에서 결과를 확인하였으며 직경과 유량에 따라 연기거동 분석, 가시거리 분석, 일산화탄소 농도를 확인하였다. 제트팬의 직경과 유량이 커질수록 y=30m 후방에서 높은 가시거리를 확인할 수 있으며 일산화탄소 농도가 0ppm임을 확인하였다. 제트팬 직경과 유량이 큰 조건에서는 제트팬 유동의 상류 방향으로 대피하면 인명피해를 최대한 줄일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
