STABILITY OF FUNCTIONAL EQUATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH INNER PRODUCT SPACES: A FIXED POINT APPROACH

  • In [21], Th.M. Rassias proved that the norm defined over a real vector space V is induced by an inner product if and only if for a fixed integer $n{\geq}2$ $$n{\parallel}\frac{1}{n}\sum\limits_{i=1}^{n}x_i{\parallel}^2+\sum\limits_{i=1}^{n}{\parallel}x_i-\frac{1}{n}\sum\limits_{j=1}^{n}x_j{\parallel}^2=\sum\limits_{i=1}^{n}{\parallel}x_i{\parallel}^2$$ holds for all $x_1,{\dots},x_n{\in}V$. We consider the functional equation $$nf(\frac{1}{n}\sum\limits^n_{i=1}x_i)+\sum\limits_{i=1}^{n}f(x_i-\frac{1}{n}\sum\limits_{j=1}^{n}x_j)=\sum\limits_{i=1}^nf(x_i)$$ Using fixed point methods, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the functional equation $$(1)\;2f(\frac{x+y}{2})+f(\frac{x-y}{2})+f(\frac{y-x}{2})=f(x)+f(y)$$.

PEDOT:PSS 및 PVDF 기반의 유-무기 열전 필름으로 제작된 플렉서블 열전 에너지 하베스터의 발전 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Output Performance of Flexible Thermoelectric Energy Harvester Made of Organic-Inorganic Thermoelectric Films Based on PEDOT:PSS and PVDF Matrix)

  • Thermoelectric (TE) energy harvesting, which converts available thermal resources into electrical energy, is attracting significant attention, as it facilitates wireless and self-powered electronics. Recently, as demand for portable/wearable electronic devices and sensors increases, organic-inorganic TE films with polymeric matrix are being studied to realize flexible thermoelectric energy harvesters (f-TEHs). Here, we developed flexible organic-inorganic TE films with p-type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 powder and polymeric matrices such as poly(3,4-eethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF). The fabricated TE films with a PEDOT:PSS matrix and 1 wt% of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) exhibited a power factor value of 3.96 µW·m-1·K-2 which is about 2.8 times higher than that of PVDF-based TE film. We also fabricated f-TEHs using both types of TE films and investigated the TE output performance. The f-TEH made of PEDOT:PSS-based TE films harvested the maximum load voltage of 3.4 mV, with a load current of 17.4 µA, and output power of 15.7 nW at a temperature difference of 25 K, whereas the f-TEH with PVDF-based TE films generated values of 0.6 mV, 3.3 µA, and 0.54 nW. This study will broaden the fields of the research on methods to improve TE efficiency and the development of flexible organic-inorganic TE films and f-TEH.

Prevalence of JAK2 V617F, CALR, and MPL W515L Gene Mutations in Patients with Essential Thrombocythemia in Kurdistan Region of Iraq

  • Essential thrombocythemia (ET) is a clonal bone marrow stem cell disorder, primarily involving the megakaryocytic lineage. The WHO 2016 guidelines include the molecular detection of JAK2, MPL, and CALR mutations as a major diagnostic criterion for ET. This study aimed to determine the frequency of JAK2 V617F, MPL W515L, and CALR mutations in Iraqi Kurdish patients afflicted with ET, and to analyze their clinical and hematological features. A total of 73 Iraqi Kurdish patients with ET were enrolled as subjects, and analysis was achieved utilizing real-time PCR. The frequency of JAK2 V617F, CALR, and MPL W515L mutations was determined to be 50.7%, 22%, and 16.4%, respectively. No statistically significant difference was obtained when considering the age and gender among different genotypes. The JAK2 V617F mutated patients had significantly higher white blood cell counts and hemoglobin levels than the CALR-positive patients (P-value=0.000, 0.007, respectively), MPL W515L-positive patients (P-value=0.000, 0.000, respectively), and triple negative patients (P-value=0.000, 0.000, respectively). Also, the JAK2 V617F mutated patients showed higher platelet count as compared to the MPL W515L-positive patients (P-value=0.02) and triple negative patients (P-value=0.04). Furthermore, significantly lower white blood cell count and hemoglobin levels were associated with CALR positivity (P-value=0.000, 0.01, respectively), MPL W515L-positivity (P-value=0.001, 0.000, respectively), and triple negativity (P-value=0.000, 0.000, respectively), as compared to patients with combined mutations. In conclusion, apart from a relatively high frequency of MPL W515L mutation, our data is comparable to earlier reports, and highlights the importance of genotyping the JAK2 V617F, MPL W515L, and CALR mutations for accurate diagnosis of patients with ET.

고성능 리튬 이온전지를 위한 폴리머-세라믹 복합 겔 고분자 전해질 (Polymer-Ceramic Composite Gel Polymer Electrolyte for High-Electrochemical-Performance Lithium-Ion Batteries)

  • 본 연구에서는 poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVdF-HFP)를 나노 크기의 $Al_2O_3$ 세라믹입자와 혼합하여 전기방사법으로 복합 겔 고분자 전해질을 제조하였다. $Al_2O_3$ 세라믹입자를 혼합한 복합 겔 고분자 전해질의 이온전도도는 $9.5{\times}10^{-2}Scm^{-1}$로, 순수한 PVdF-HFP 겔 고분자 전해질보다 높은 이온전도도를 나타내며 전기화학적 안정성도 5.2 V까지 개선하였다. 전기화학적 성능을 분석하기 위해서 $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ (NMC)양극과 함께 전지로 제작되었으며 순수 겔 고분자 전해질과 복합 겔 고분자 전해질 셀은 0.1C-rate에서 각각 $168.2mAh\;g^{-1}$$189.6mAh\;g^{-1}$의 방전 용량을 가지며 우수한 수명 특성을 보여 주었다. 따라서 고유전율 세라믹 입자의 복합화는 리튬 이온 겔 고분자 전지의 안정성과 전기화학적 특성을 향상시키는 좋은 대안이 될 것으로 판단된다.

정전위 양극 산화에 의한 나노다공성 금 구조의 초미세 전극 제작 (Fabrication of Ultramicroelectrodes with Nanoporous Gold Structures by Potentiostatic Anodization)

  • 나노 다공성 구조를 가지는 전극은 매우 큰 전기화학적 표면적을 지니기 때문에 그 형성 방법에 대한 연구가 다양하게 이루어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 정전위 양극 산화를 이용하여 초미세전극(ultramicroelectrode, UME) 표면에 나노 다공성 금(nanoporous gold, NPG) 구조를 도입하는 방법을 연구하였다. 1M KCl을 포함하는 0.1M 인산완충용액(pH 8)에서 1.3 V의 정전위를 가해 주면 잘 정의된 NPG 구조가 UME 표면에 도입되었다. NPG-UME 형성에서 인가 전위와 반응 시간, 그리고 전극의 크기가 형성된 NPG 전극의 거칠기 인자(roughness factor, Rf)에 미치는 영향을 관찰하여 양극 산화 효율을 조사하였다. 10분 정도의 짧은 시간에 2000정도의 큰 Rf 값을 가지는 NPG-UME를 만들 수 있었는데, 전기화학적 글루코오스 검출에 효과적으로 활용 가능하였다. 본 연구 결과는 적은 시료양으로 전기화학적 분석을 수행하는 경우 응용성이 클 것으로 기대한다.

Pyroelectricity of BaTiO3-doped PMNT ferroelectric system for pyroelectric sensor

  • In this study, an MPB PMNT system containing 0.05 to 0.10 wt.% BaTiO3 was synthesized using a traditional chemical method and its pyroelectricity was investigated. Pyroelectricity, dielectricity, and ferroelectricity of the synthesized BaTiO3-PMNT system were analyzed by heat treatment at 1240~1280 ℃ for 4 hours to evaluate its applicability as a pyroelectric sensor. Unlike the simple ABO3 ferroelectric, the BaTiO3-doped PMNT system exhibited phase transition characteristics over a wide temperature range typical of complex perovskite structures. Although no dramatic change could be confirmed depending on the amount of BaTiO3 added, stable pyroelectricity was maintained near room temperature and over a wide temperature range. When the amount of BaTiO3 added increased from 0.05BaTiO3-PMNT to 0.10BaTiO3-PMNT, the electric field slightly increased from 5.00×103 kV/m to 6.75×103 kV/m, and the maximum value of remanent polarization slightly increased from 0.223 C/m2 to 0.234 C/m2. The pyroelectric coefficients of 0.05BaTiO3-PMNT and 0.10BaTiO3- PMNT at room temperature were measured to be ~0.0084 C/m2K and ~0.0043 C/m2K, respectively. The relaxor ferroelectric properties of the BaTiO3-PMNT system were confirmed by analyzing the plot of Kmax/K versus (T-Tmax)γ. The BaTiO3-doped MPB PMNT system showed a distinct pyroelectric performance index at room temperature, and the values were Fv ~ 0.0362 m2/C, Fd ~ 0.575×10-4 Pa-1/2.

Electrochemical Characteristics of HA Film on the Ti Alloy Using Pulsed Laser Deposition

  • In this study, we have investigated the surface morphology of hydroxyapatite (HA) coated Ti alloy surface using pulsed laser plating. The HA (tooth ash) films were grown by pulsed KrF excimer laser, film surfaces were analyzed for topology, chemical composition, crystal structure and electrochemical behavior. The Ti-6Al-4V alloy showed ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ phase, Cp-Ti showed ${\alpha}$ phase and the HA coated surface showed HA and Ti alloy peaks. The HA coating layer was formed with $1-2{\mu}m$ droplets and grain-like particles, particles which were smaller than the HA target particle, and the composition of the HA coatings were composed of Ca and P. From the electrochemical test, the pitting potential (1580 mV) of HA coated Ti-6Al-4V alloy was higher than those of Cp-Ti (1060 mV) and HA coated Cp-Ti (1350 mV). The HA coated samples showed a lower current density than non-HA coated samples, whereas, the polarization resistance of HA coated samples showed a high value compared to non-HA coated samples.

  • For a given p-valent analytic function g with positive coefficients in the open unit disk $\Delta$, we study a class of functions $f(z) = z^p - \sum\limits{_{n=m}}{^\infty} a_nz^n(a_n{\geq}0)$ satisfying $$\frac 1 {p}{\Re}\;(\frac {z(f*g)'(z)} {(f*g)(z)})\;>\;\alpha\;(0{\leq}\;\alpha\;<\;1;z{\in}{\Delta})$$ Coefficient inequalities, distortion and covering theorems, as well as closure theorems are determined. The results obtained extend several known results as special cases.

칼륨 독성에 의한 배추의 생리적 특성과 형태적 변화 (Physiological Characteristics and Morphological Changes of Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa L. ssp. campestris) to Potassium Toxicity)

  • 본 연구는 칼륨의 독성에 따른 배추의 생육과 생리적 특성 그리고 형태적 변화를 관찰하기 위하여 수행하였다. 100mM의 칼륨 농도 처리구까지 전체적인 생육이 증가한 반면, 600mM 처리구에서 생육이 가장 저조하였다. 칼륨 처리 농도가 높을수록 N, P, K, 함량은 증가하였지만 Ca, Mg, Na 함량은 감소하는 경향을 보였으며 미량원소, Fe, Mn, Zn의 경우 100mM의 처리구에서 가장 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 생체중당 Chl a, b와 carotenoid 함량은 600mM에서 가장 많이 증가하였으나 증가한 엽록소 함량에 비해 광합성효율($F_v/F_m$)은 처리구간에 차이가 없었고 $CO_2$ 동화율은 오히려 감소하였다. 이는 칼륨 과다에 의한 삼투스트레스의 결과로 기공의 퇴화와 $CO_2$ 동화능력과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것을 형태학적 관찰로 확인되었다. Total free amino acid의 경우 100mM 처리구까지 칼륨 처리 농도가 증가함에 따라 증가한 반면 600mM에서 급격히 감소하였다. 따라서 본 실험에서의 배추는100mM의 칼륨 농도까지는 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 판단되었다.
