우리나라 중소 OEM 수출기업의 ODM 수출기업으로의 발전전략에 관한 연구 - 사례분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development Strategy for ODM Exporting Company of OEM Exporting Company - Based on the Case Studies -)

  • At present, more than 80% export made by Korean small-medium sized companies is OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturing). But OEM export of made-in korea products has been facing limitations from 1990s. Some leading companies among those small-medium sized companies which have been fulfilling OEM export are transferring their exporting strategies to Own Brand or ODM(Original Development/Design Manufacturing) and some of their strategies successful. However, most of small-medium sized OEM exporting companies are still groping for some ways to upgrading to Own Brand or ODM exporting strategies. Therefore, this article deals with how the leading ODM exporting companies have been transferred from OEM to ODM exporting strategies. It also discusses the primary factors of success and barrier and how to develop the ODM exporting strategies based on investigating literature and interviews with the leading ODM exporting companies.

  • As market is more and more mature, the survival environment of exporting companies is getting severer, which throws exporting companies into great pressures of the process of growth and development. For most businessmen, the hardest part of starting a foreign business is to find buyers or to get customers, which is more critical for small and medium-size foreign enterprises. The fast changes of internal and external trade and market circumstances, together with the advent of e-commerce, led to the diversified of the way to find foreign buyers for exporting companies. But the performance differs in using different ways of finding foreign buyers. Therefore, this study examines the status of the methods of finding foreign buyers and performance of exporting companies in China. Based on the investigation of the ways of finding foreign buyers, this study tries to find out the most efficient ways of finding foreign buyers for them. And this study tries to propose some practical suggestions for the exporting companies based on the analysis that will help them to improve companies' performances.

지식기반형 수출기업의 개방형혁신 성과와 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance and the Influence factors of Open Innovation of Knowledge-based Exporting companies.)

  • Knowledge-based exporting companies in Korea have reached a stage to develop new technological innovation and to pioneer new markets. But, developing new technologies and launching new products require an enormous sum of money for Research and Development(R&D) and there is still uncertainty in technological development and markets. Therefore, through open technological innovation, they are encouraged to actively use external technological sources and ideas. They also need to enhance the efficiency of the relatively little R&D investment. In this paper, firstly, it conducts a precedent study on the concept and influence factors of knowledge-based exporting companies and open technological innovation. Secondly, it sets a study model and estimates a regression coefficient to analyze the influence factors of open technological innovation of knowledge-based exporting companies which are using external resources on the process of innovation. Through case study and empirical analysis, we are going to find the implication of open technological innovation and prepare the way of the innovation for the knowledge-based exporting companies. According to the empirical analysis, variables such as firm size, processing degree, product life, patent registration, maintaining internal security didn't have positive effects on open innovation performance. On the other hand, research capability and market preoccupancy had positive effects. Therefore, to succeed in open innovation, knowledge-based exporting companies not only need to secure research capability through open innovation, but also need to preoccupy the market through commercialization of developed product.

  • 관세청이 발표한 '2021년 무역통계'에 따르면 코로나19 이후 국내 수출기업은 2,400여개 줄었고, 수입업체는 1만여 기업체가 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 수출기업은 국내 일자리 창출과 함께 우리나라 경제발전에 지대한 공헌을 하고 있다. 물류환경이 급격하게 변하는 시점에서 국내 수출기업의 친환경 물류전략이 물류성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 논문은 미비한 실정이다. 수출기업이 지속적으로 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖추고 물류성과를 개선하기 위해서는 친환경 물류전략이 수출기업의 물류성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 필요하다. 본 연구는 국내 수출기업의 친환경 물류전략이 물류성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 친환경 물류전략은 내부전략과 공급사슬관리전략으로 구분된다. 분석결과 내부전략은 수출기업 물류성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 공급사슬관리전략은 수출기업 물류성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 이처럼 수출기업의 친환경 물류전략은 기업의 중요한 자원으로써 기업의 물류성과를 개선하는 근거가 되는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • This study aims to determine the influence of the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) in coffee exporting companies in Bali. The research was conducted as there was not much research done to explore the application of TQM in coffee exporting companies in the city of Kintamani, Bali. Thus, this research plays an important role in examining the effect of the application of total quality management factors on company performance. In this research, the effect of TQM variables which are: customer focus factors, continuous improvement factors and employee empowerment factors on the company's performance was measured by using a balanced scorecard approach. The research result showed that the customer focus, the continuous improvement, and the employee empowerment factor has a positive impact on the performance of coffee exporting companies in the City of Kintamani. The result showed that continuous improvement factor has a more dominant influence compared to the customer focus factors and the employee empowerment factor. Thus, it is very important to consider the consistency when the companies implement TQM. In conclusion, TQM is important for coffee exporting companies in Indonesia to enter global competition, especially for world market-oriented companies and should be supported by the government and stakeholders.

Selection Factors for Distribution Partners for the Market Entry in Southeast Asia

  • Purpose - This study analyzed the success strategy of Korean small & medium cosmetics exporting companies to enter the Southeast Asian market. Research design, data, and methodology - The independent factors are classified into firm capacity, financial factor, institutional factor, and operational factor. The results of the selection of distributor partners of cosmetics related export companies as a were classified as financial performance and non - financial performance. In order to analyze this, 65 Korean small and medium export companies were recruited through structured online questionnaire for 44 days from September 18, 2017 to October 31, 2017. These data were analyzed by frequency analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis and regression analysis using SPSS. Results - The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was found to be 0.846. Factor analysis between variables revealed that the eigen value exceeded 1 and was considered valid. As a result of the correlation analysis between the variables, the financial factor and the corporate's competence showed the highest correlation with 0.774. Conclusions - Among the factors influencing the financial performance of the exporting firms, the factors influencing the financial performance of the exporting companies are the factors that influence the non - financial performance rather than the financial performance.

The Management of International Distribution Channels : Focusing on the Perspective Korean Exporting Companies

  • Purpose - The objective of this research is to investigate how selected Korean General Trading Companies, (KGTCs), manage their international distribution channels to sustain the growth of the international marketplace. Specifically, the following questions were answered: What is the profile of the respondents in the position from the company, the experience in channel of distribution operations, the number of distribution channels existing in the international marketplace. Research design, data, methodology -The thirty-nine respondents representing 55 percent have less than 10 years of experience in channel of distribution operations while 34 respondents, equivalent to 45 percent have 10 or more years of experience. All of the respondent KGTCs are using the channel of distribution in their export operations in Asia. Respondent KGTCs' 2015 export sales in Asia were between US$ 100 to 200 million. Results - There are no significant differences in the perceptions of the two groups of respondents with regard to the perceived practices of KGTC in the management of international distribution channels. Exporting companies use common sense when managing conflicts and emphasize the importance of a clear contract which states what obligations and requirements there are of each party in order to prevent conflict. Conclusions - The higher level of details in the contract, the lesser would conflicts arise. The more intense communication, the higher level of information exchange. 중국 산동성의 FTA 활용현황에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the application of the FTA of Shandong Province in China)

  • According to the survey on the state of practical usage and present situation of FTAs, conducted among trade companies operating in Shandong province in 2014, more than 90% of companies are believed to be small and medium sized enterprises. Therefore this study tries to test what impact the awareness and utilization of an FTA have on its outcome among trade companies operating in Shandong province as well as partner countries and other trade companies. The research results are as follows. First, we found a positive correlation between 1) a company's global orientation (as measured in export density as a percentage of profit) and 2) its competitiveness (as measured in annual sales), and a company's degree of utilization of FTA provisions. Second, One of the findings is that the more aware of the (exporting) HS code, conventional tariffs and the process of issuing C/O the companies from Shandong province are the more they actually use (utilize) an FTA inpractice. Another interesting finding is that the more aware of the (exporting) HS code and conventional tariffs the enterprises are the higher is their practical usage level of an FTA. Third, however, at the time of this study's completion, FTA utilization was not yet positively correlated with statistically significant performance results. Therefore, to increase the utilization and performance of FTA, the China government have to make a efficient business models for each industry and support the small and mid-size businesses including Shandong province's SMEs.

한국 수출기업의 혁신활동에 따른 영향요인과 수출성과에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Factors Influencing the Innovations of Korea's Exporting Companies and Export Performance)

  • 새로운 기술개발과 신제품 출시에는 막대한 연구개발비가 필요하고, 시장의 불확실성도 존재한다. 이에 비해 우리나라의 수출기업들은 선진기업에 비해 연구개발 투자비의 절대규모가 작고 누적 기술자산도 부족한 실정이다. 그러므로 개방형 혁신을 통해 외부의 기술을 활용하고 상대적으로 적은 연구개발 투자비의 효율성을 제고할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 수출기업의 혁신활동에 따른 각각의 영향요인을 도출하고, 이러한 혁신활동이 수출성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 혁신활동을 폐쇄형 혁신활동과 개방형 혁신활동으로 구분하고, 혁신활동의 영향요인인 기업특성요인, 연구특성요인, 상품특성요인을 독립변수로, 수출성과를 종속변수로 하는 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 회귀분석결과 기업규모, 신상품 출시기간은 혁신활동 각각에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 연구역량과 연구성과는 폐쇄형 혁신활동에만 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 개방형 혁신활동은 수출성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 폐쇄형 혁신활동은 수출성과에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.

국화 수출 수익 및 비용 분석 (An Analysis of Revenue and Cost of Exporting Chrysanthemum)

  • 농산물 수출과 관련된 분석은 자료의 부족 때문에 피상적인 분석 이상 나아가기가 쉽지 않았다. 분석을 하더라도 간접적인 자료만을 활용한 분석이어서 해석상의 한계가 많았다. 이 연구는 수출업체의 실제 수출실적 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 농가의 평균수취율은 72.3%로 나타났지만 거리에 따른 운송비 때문에 지역에 따라 차이가 났다. 수출농가의 소득률은 전반적으로 국내에 출하하는 농가에 비해 높게 나타났으며 수출비중이 높을수록 소득률은 상승하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 수출단가와 비용을 분석한 결과, 정부와 지자체의 보조금이 없을 경우 수출업체의 채산성은 크게 악화되는 것으로 나타났다.
