Based on 'Backpack-free day' and 'Unsupervised studying day' in the early 1980s, 10% of all schools in 2004 had at least 1 day of five-day classes a month as at least 2 days were enforced in 2006, and most elementary and middle schools had widely enforced the five-day class since 2012 March. The five-day class system expands the stage of studying from school to families and local societies to build an educational community related to school-family-local societies to provide various activities such as culture, art, sports, social, nature experiences on holidays to have the goal to foster creative future talents with proper personality understanding and considering others. In Busan, the five-day week class of Saturday program is being operated in various methods by national local government and public organizations. The Saturday program of local societies registered in the Saturday school of the information sharing networks are 2823 in total for the past 6 years which are being operated by national local government and public organizations. However, participation of students in the Saturday program is around 20% in 2012 March when Saturday holiday system was widely conducted. For this, problems in the Saturday programs that are currently being enforced are to be closely analyzed and participation expansion plans are to be made. Therefore, this study analyzes and investigates operation forms of Saturday programs conducted in Busan to propose an improvement plan to fulfill goals of Saturday programs and boost participation of students.

Web technology has allowed the rise of services such as blogs or YouTube that make possible the sharing of opinions, perspectives, and experiences with other users through contents. Online services that promote such sharing of information and communication are known as social media. Recently, the explosive growth of these services displays the carry-over of the natural sociality that all humans possess as social creatures. This study took an exploratory approach in investigating what influential relationships are involved in forming new relationships through sharing and participation, as sharing and participation are core keywords of social media. In order to do this, relationship formations were observed in actual usage environments with the use of the diary study method and in-depth interviews. This study sought to deduce necessary elements in relationship formations and examine the influences of weak ties on participation and sharing.

For the therapeutic intervention, questions using the metaphor of the activity were given to the clients for the establishment of self-identity, while group activity and the donation of the works let the second and third purpose accomplished. Outdoor activity, 'Tire garden project', has provided the clients with chances of the contact with nature, cooperation with other group members, and a contest to provoke enthusiasm. Also recycling and greening of the community were possible by utilizing old tires for the containers and by donating the final works to the community. For the evaluation of the result, the effect of the program on the stress of the college students was tested, and the most meaningful experiences during the participation to the program were asked to identify the therapeutic factors acknowledged by clients. "Green harmony" program has brought positive effects on the stress of the clients in spite of relatively short period of five weeks. This study aimed to understand the child rearing burden of mothers of youth with developmental disabilities and mothers' inner growth through their rearing experiences. The researchers conducted focus group interviews using the 'photovoice' method and individual interviews with a mothers' group of an orchestra whose members are youth with developmental disabilities. The data were qualitatively analyzed applying systematic content analysis. The results revealed that the lives of mothers of children with developmental disabilities were framed as 'keeping walking, even it's invisible', and their experiences were summed up by the phrase 'coming together and growing with their children.' Although the mothers of children with developmental disabilities experienced distress and difficulties, they also experienced joy and growth while parenting their children. Their children's participation in the orchestra were associated with changes in the mothers' perceptions of their children as well as their self-perceptions as caregivers, and the relationships with the support systems. Based on these findings, the implications of this study for social welfare practice were discussed.
Purpose : The purpose of this study was to explore the subjective experiences of problem drinkers participating in the early intervention program for moderate alcohol drinking. Methods : A qualitative descriptive study design was used. Data were collected through individual interviews with thirteen problem drinkers and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results : The experiences of the problem drinkers participating in the early intervention program were derived from four themes and nine sub-themes in terms of awareness, alcohol expectancies, perceived self-efficacy and behavioral change. They participated in programs offered in the workplace, and there were differences in motivation level among individuals, but generally accepted the necessity of the program. Participants who had trust with the program provider were more likely to change drinking behavior. Conclusion : Problem drinkers who participated in the early intervention program showed that it is a useful approach to change the problem drinking behavior by promoting awareness of alcohol-related knowledge, motivation for change through acquiring enough information and acquisition of self-efficacy as a behavior skill. These findings can be used as basic information for implementing and adapting early intervention for prevention of alcoholism in primary health care setting including workplace.
